I sincerely appreciate the approach that Fick Bros had to multiple projects. In the end I had some roof repairs, some roof replacements, some porch repairs and a new railing and doors I had wanted for years on an upper porch completed in a most satisfying manner. The craftsmanship is excellent and the scheduling and communication was clear and considerate. Also important, the pre construction advice and conversations were so helpful and Dan took the time to understand the issues important to me and recommend solutions that suited my priorities. The products, warranties and colors and details were all carefully explained and tailored for the different parts of the home. I sincerely appreciate the work and the communication.

Fick Bros rebuilt my chimney and replaced the vents on my roof. They did an excellent job. They are always professional, on time and tidy up after each day's work. If you were not home, you wouldn't be able to tell there were workers there that day. They are exceptionally respectful of your property. I highly recommend them.

I forgot to mention that they also insulated and sealed underneath my house bump out.

I was VERY impressed with Fick Bros! My plaster bedroom ceiling collapsed onto my bed in May. Luckily I got out of bed before being injured. The insurance company said the cause was "hidden water damage" from the roof.(ie so the Insurance Company won't pay for it). I had estimates from several companies. What I liked about Fick Bros was that they gave me estimates on how to FIX my slate roof ceiling. The other estimate companies all wanted to replace it for a LOT of money. Fick Bros came out and fixed where the leakage was happening and then came back and fixed the entire ridge and dormers. The guys were always nice and skilled and they cleaned up really well. And it was very HOT here to be working on a roof! They did a very nice job and the roof looks great. And their estimator, Danny Beam, came out to my house several times and helped me with a variety of things to get this done.
Summary: Use these guys from Fick Bros! They are nice, know what they are doing, and don't focus on how they can get more money from you. Check out their reviews too! All are very good! Other customers agree that the Fick Bros are great!

Consulted Fick Bros for a second opinion on a roofing estimate. They were booked out for a few weeks, which was fine and we felt worth the wait for comparison. Now a week before our appointment they’ve informed us that a training popped up on the day of our inspection and we would have to reschedule. In addition, they have no availability for weeks. Though they did refer other roofing companies in the area when informing us, it is very unprofessional to cancel after waiting weeks to have someone come out for the estimate.

Repairing your home is a daunting experience. You are nervous about the cost, the inconvience, the time, the quality. Even in the best of circumstances, it starts off stressful. From my first encounter with Kelly, through the estimate process with Walt, to the final walk through with Nick, I felt confident and cared for. Everyone treated my concerns as a priority. I honestly felt like I was thier only customer. Jack did such an amazing job on installing my storm doors! Everyone on my block has asked about them. I appreciate how clean the crew kept my house and the work area. Yes, I probably could have gotten this same work done for less money. But no one would have taken the time and energy to provide top notch communication and customer service. I never once worried that the job wouldn't be done, and I know if there is an issue they will go above and beyond to make it right. How do I know? Because there was an issue with my door bell and without even asking, they replaced it! The outstanding work they did on my roof was top tier. I appreciated the repairs to the masonry and I wouldn't even be able to tell where the new stucco is on my exerior except I need to paint it! Amazing! I went from not being sure I even wanted to stay in my house, to falling in love with it all over again. And that is worth every single penny. Many thanks to the crew and to everyone in the office for making a stressful situation easy and enjoyable!

My roof had never been cleaned so it looked really bad. I didn't even know you could get the roof cleaned until I called Fick Brothers. They arrived on time and did a tremendous job. The roof looks new! Thank you, Fick Bros!

Competence and honesty. That might not sound exciting, but just wait. It's expensive when you need to do home repairs. We worked with another local company to deal with some porch roof leak issues a few years back. It was cheaper, but failed to resolve the problem. Fick Bros. did not mess around when they sent Todd to evaluate the project. Todd's evaluation led to a real solution. Fick Bros. fixed the problem faster than their original estimate. I certainly don't expect that, but what a good first experience.

Speaking of first impressions, there's more. You've got to make phone calls and interact with various people throughout this process. Ashley was our first POC. I left a message and got a call back sooner than I expected. It was friendly and quick to the point. She followed up as needed without any effort from me.

Fick Bros. is not messing around. When Ashley was done, Kelly took over communication on the project. As I mentioned, it was completed in advance of the originally scheduled date. I think they had an unexpected opening due to a cancelled project. Lucky for us, but they clearly are focused on getting jobs done.

I can't believe that every project is going to go that smoothly, but Fick Bros. has my trust. They're doing our porch next, and I'm looking forward to it. I don't know about you, but that is not my usual attitude when dealing with contactors.

Fick Bros. has been our roofing company since 2008. They routinely inspect our home exterior and make recommendations on required and recommended maintenance and repairs. They understand our need to budget carefully and always help us prioritize and schedule the work accordingly. The quality of the work is always top notch and completed with minimal disruption. We have neighbors who have opted to try "less expensive" roofers who work locally, and they have almost all reported being disappointed.

We found the company through some online research. My dad had recommended sofwash for my slate tile roof, which was looking old (the house was built in 1939). It moss-covered in some areas and others looked like there was residue from trees around us. The owner came out (from Baltimore to DC) gave me an estimate that I thought was reasonable. After the work was done, I couldn't believe the difference. Our roof is now pristine. A really great job - I'm very happy with how it looks. The team was great as well. Overall very happy with the finished product.

Fick Bros. is one of the few businesses that advertised replacing wooden shutters on older homes. The price was not low, but the best materials were used, and I could be sure that experienced workers would do the installation. They also matched the existing paint colors, which couldn’t have been easy. It took a while for them to receive the shutters and schedule the work, but I was consistently kept informed about where they were in the process.

Nick and Jack were great. Had the Marvin window framed and installed in one day along with sourcing and installing siding.

It was a pleasure to work with Fick Bros. Roofing. The professionalism was top notch from beginning to end. The estimator did a thorough inspection and pointed out the issues with my chimney. He presented the contract in a timely fashion and explained step by step what was required to do the job. The construction team was respectful and quiet. They worked seamlessly without being intrusive to our coming and going. They cleaned up my property, not leaving a trace of their debris. It has only been a couple of weeks but the leak has not reappeared. I highly recommend Fick Bros for your roofing needs.

I was highly disappointed with my experience for the softwashing services I received from Fick Bros. I contacted them for a quote in an effort to remove oxidation stains on the exterior of my brick home. The estimator told me the softwashing would remove the oxidation stains underneath my windows without issue, but would not be able to remove some other types of blemishes on my home’s exterior. I booked the service so it would at least remove the oxidation stains.

On the day of the service, the person performing the work stated that he wasn’t sure what I wanted addressed because, in his words, softwashing only works on organic materials like moss, algae, etc which my home did not have. I told him the estimator never told me that nor discouraged me from booking the service (in fact, he encouraged it.) The treatment didn’t remove or lessen the oxidation stains in any noticeable way. The person performing the work admitted the house didn’t look any different after the service, and said he would be annoyed too had he paid for it.

I called and voiced my concerns with the owner, basically that I felt I was misled during my initial estimate. He said there were other treatment options that might remove the oxidation but it’s not quite a guarantee, and that he would talk to his team and get back to me. All I got back a week later was the final invoice for the treatment I was unhappy with.

A few months ago, Fick Bros. repointed my chimney and installed a new cement chimney cap. I got to pick the mortar color and the new work blends seamlessly with the old mortar. I thought the price was reasonable and the work was of high quality. Since last year, I have also had Fick Bros do my routine slate roof and gutter maintenance and I have been exceptionally pleased with the experience.
