Appliance Repair reviews in Glen Burnie, Maryland

Paul was very nice. Explained things about my dishwasher I didn’t know. Fixed the panel quickly Excellent service

Technician is very professional and able to fix the appliance in timely manner. But scheduling and messaging using AI has a big space for improvement. I got the message that the technician is coming in the morning but actually coming early evening instead.

Service technician was very polite and professional he did a fantastic job he told me what he did and why the area was clean I was impressed would like to get all my service from sears

Unfortunately, the issue couldn’t be fixed on this visit (we have to replace the disposal) but Ijaz was very informative. It was helpful to know what next steps to take and I appreciate him for doubling back in the same day after a the GPS took him to the wrong location.

First all let me say Jeff did a fantastic job diagnosing the problem and resolving the issue. My parent's refrigerator/freezer has not worked properly in over 2 months. Repeatedly technicians have attempted to address the problem and it was futile. They have been so disappointed in the process. They are close to 90 years old and it has been heartbreaking to know that the problem was not resolved sooner. Thank God Jeff was available on a Sat. he was able to do what at least 4 others could not do.

Inspection and repair went very smoothly! Darius was very knowledgeable throughout the whole process. It was a pleasure having him in my home!

I submitted my claim on January 9, 2026. The job to repair my home heater was Jan 20, 2026. It is extremely cold in MD. Bottom line, I expected a more expeditious repair considering the extreme circumstances. I

The customer service provided by Jeffrey was exemplary!!! This situation has been an issue for months now and in one visit, Jeff not only diagnosed the issue but fixed it on the first attempt. I still may have to replace the fridge but, the issue has been successfully diagnosed and addressed!!! If I ever have to call on Sears again, my hope is that Jeff will be the tech they send from now on.

My father’s refrigerator/freezer was not making ice. The technician determined that the freezer was too full and that ice had formed. The technician provided the options to remedy the situation. Due to my father’s age, the least expensive option was not viable. Once the technician removed the ice, the ice maker and the freezer began working again. The technician also explained that due to the age of the refrigerator, it is possible that the compressor could stop functioning at a later date. I appreciate the time the technician took to explain the options to both me and my father.

This company is a scam. They will charge you money and then never come to your appointment. Darious did not call, did not knock, did not text. He took a picture of my building, not my front door, and said I wasn’t home. Lazy, unprofessional, and straight up scam. Do not use under any circumstances!!!!

Not what i expected from sears co that i knew. Once I told tech that we had compersor changed year ago. He said it is my coil that are clogged, to change coil only would cost us 400 and labor will be extra. He added that once i get that fixed there is another coil that might need replacing too. In short he said it was not worth fixing. May be he was right, but I felt that i am paying him $139.00 he should atleast check pressure of freeone or move firdge and check in back or do some thing. it would make me feel little better he did some thing for 139. He talk us about 5 minutes and letf

Professional and was able to fix my broken dryer. Diagnosed the problem quickly. Parts came fast and fixed within the week.

Tech, Darius, was GRWEAT at explaining the issue and that a plumber was needed not a appliance repair person. He answered my questions and sent me pictures.
Sears was very DIFFICULT to deal with as it was all AI and no live person could be reached. When getting updated from the tracking system, it said that our tech was arriving between 10:15 am and 10:58 am. At 11:30 am and no tech, I tried reaching out to Sears' help number, but it kept cycling me into the AI and saying the only update was that the tech was arriving at 10:18am. It was 11:30 am. We are doomed if AI is going to be in charge! I did not use Sears directly. This was the vendor selected through American Home Shield. Another story on that Co. -
The service appointments could be better because it took almost two months before my refrigerator was repaired and I rescheduled several times but it finally got repaired today. So I'm happy about that. The technician was very helpful and professional.

Do not recommend. I've had to reschedule my appointment 4 different times because they will not come. They don't call or text that they are not coming so you waste your whole day waiting. One of the times the tech sent his helper to my house to take a picture of my door, where he didn't knock it anything. My ring went off so I went outside and he told me the tech said he wasn't coming and he didn't know why. 2 mins later I got a message saying that they showed up and I wasn't home to do the repair. So they lied to their company about even coming to my house. I don't even do reviews but beware. My washer has been broken for almost 3 months at this point. I will be telling my home warranty that I no longer want them to do any work at my house after this
Also don't even think calling them will help. They are an ai only service department and you can't get a good of a single human. Ai only is the absolute worst customer service option.
Edit: They have now no called no showed on my schedule service time 5 times. They are now not letting me reschedule my appointment even though I have been available for every single appointment. Got a text today saying if I don't reschedule they are cancelling my service request. Tried texting, tried online, and tried to call and it all of them say it's unavailable to reschedule and to try the other options.
Seriously can't condem this company enough. -
John is very personable and knowledgeable. He worked efficiently and explained fully what needed to be done, and recommended preventative service that was beneficial. I really appreciated his help. Thank you!

I'm home all day to have my dryer repaired and the service man called and said I'm on my way to repair your washer..I said it's my dry.. I missed a whole day of work for this.. and no one called to apologize. I talked to this company about my dryer o dec 17,2025 for repair my dryer.. my appointment is today December 19, 2025.please don't use this company. I'm very unpleased about this company. I will not recommend this company to anyone.. maybe other customers had a positive outcome.. but I did not just want to share ..

There is no human. Sears only has an artificial intelligence system for customer interface. Hence, it is impossible to do any problem solving. The repair technician is outstanding, but the customer service is truly non-existent and is wasteful (i.e. unnecessary service call since unable to discuss an issue with a human prior to the technician arriving). Sears also cancelled the repair, at the very last minute, and it took 10 days to re-schedule. In addition, they took another 10 days to resolve an out of stock issue for a part that was truly NOT out of stock. They also had non-delivery of a replacement part resulting in an unnecessary service call since the artificial intelligence agent could not address this issue and resulted in another 10 days of delay. My repair has taken about 6 weeks to resolve due to these problems and delays that could not be addressed via the lack of human-based customer service. This is the most terrible customer experience that i have ever had.

This was a terrible experience. My oven was not working this morning. Wouldn't heat up. I can't rely on this oven to reliably work. When Donald arrived I turned the oven on and he just looked at the oven with his eyes. He didn't touch it. There was zero investigation. Of course, the oven worked while he was here. He said there was no problem found and charged me $130. Fair enough, but as he was walking away an error code came up, he came back and looked at it and he said he wouldn't/couldn't fix it. He said I had already paid, work order was done. He said I had to make a new appointment. This was so frustrating. The man was here, a technician, and still wouldn't investigate the oven. This was a terrible experience. I have a photo of the guy looking at the error code telling me to make a new appointment.

My recent service visits with technician Darius M. During the first visit, he was very pleasant and professional, and I appreciated his demeanor.
However, the second visit was noticeably different. He entered my home visibly upset and was not pleasant to work with. He did his job, but was so angry and slammed the refrigerator so hard , it knocked down the ice maker. I had to call him back to fix it. I am not someone who usually complains, but I felt it was important to address this. No homeowner should feel uncomfortable or experience that type of behavior in their own home.
I hope this feedback is helpful and that this concern can be addressed.
