Appliance Repair reviews in Glen Burnie, Maryland

The two technicians that came to my home were so nice , friendly and especially informative. They explained things to me that they thought I should know. The part was ordered quickly and the repair done in one week. This was one of the best experiences that I've had for a repair. I would definitely recommend Sears for appliance repairs.

The technician was very informative and helpful. However I do not like how the technician did not have any of the necessary tools. Especially after I put the model and serial number and the type of issue I was having which was a code issue that would require a diagnostic tool. So I feel like I was giving away money for free because he could not perform the correct maintenance issue without the necessary equipment.

There was no service to be reviewed. I told AHS I needed to have 4 appliances checked. Washing machine, dryer, fridge and dishwasher. The repairman that came was told the dishwasher was emitting a horrible stench of burning rubber during the dry cycle. Repairman said he could not wait that long. I then asked repairman to look at the other 3 appliances to which he answered he was only qualified to work on dishwashers. Repairman then left my residence 20 minutes after he arrived saying he'd call back which he did not.

John is just a straight shooter very honest very kind. I actually canceled my appointment probably seven times but I'm really glad It didn't stick. I'm in real estate and I work with a lot of contractors and John was probably one of the best HVAC technicians I've ever talked to. Very happy I had him in my home

Jeffrey did a wonderful job replacing the part and reassembling our fridge! He was professional, and got the job done quickly. He also tested the fix many time to ensure there would be no more issues. 5 stars quality service

I want to mention that today’s technician Paul B. did a great job, and I really appreciate his work. However, the overall service experience was very poor.
It took three different technicians to fix the microwave. The first technician ordered a part. The second technician came to install it, but when it didn’t resolve the issue, he mentioned that additional parts were needed — however, those parts were never ordered. I then had to create a new ticket and start the process again. Finally, the third technician, Paul, was able to fix the issue properly.
It seems like the technicians are not communicating with each other or reviewing the service history in the system before coming out. That lack of coordination caused unnecessary delays and inconvenience.
I hope this feedback helps improve communication and prevent similar issues in the future. -
Technician seemed to be courteous and professional. He stated our heat stopped working due to a loose wire. He supposedly fixed it within 10 minutes. Within 5 min of him leaving my heat stops working again. I reached out to have the tech come back the same day and an ETA of 3:36 pm was given. The tech lied and said they came out and no one was home but my 21 year old was home. I made it back home at 3:20 pm. My ring camera never showed the tech even at my house at all. Not to mention receiving an email that we needed to pay 129.00 the second time. My heart is still not fixed and Sears makes it almost impossible to contact because when you call the number provided a live person is not available. This is the worst service I have ever experienced.

Great experience and knowledge and good customer service. However the only concern and issue I have is one of the service Technicians should have known better to pour the excess dirty water that was removed from the wash machine repair. I expected that he would use the toilet or outside to dispose of the water, however he used the bathroom sink to dispose of the water.
But overall two good that was very professional and knowledgeable. Great work done! -
Impressed with their quick response, easy to set up an appointment online, and the communication is amazing. Was available the next morning & diagnosed dryer. Very nice tech...will definitely recommend Josh's to my family, friends & clients.

Josh’s Appliance Repair company, is very efficient & knowledgeable about what they do. I recommended them for my sister’s non-cooling refrigerator. They showed up, diagnosed the problem & fixed it same day.
My sister & I are extremely pleased with their services & will use them again anytime in the future. -
This is the 2nd time I’ve used Josh’s repair service. This time for a very unruly Samsung refrigerator. I could not be happier with their service! Mustapher was very patient and professional, he even came out on a Sunday (his day off) to finish the job. He knew exactly what he was doing and now the fridge works like new! If you need appliance repairs in the Glen Burnie area, I highly recommend using Josh’s. Excellent service! Don’t shop around, you won’t find better.

I contacted this company because they were highly rated on google. I told them I had a problem with Samsung fridge and they came out a couple days later. He was polite and courteous and gave me the diagnosis I was looking for. However, I’ve called and contacted 4x over the course of 2 weeks with no response or call back. When I get a response, they say I will send me the quote right away, but I am still waiting. Would’ve given 5 star if they just actually respond to customers, but I am forced to look elsewhere for my problem.

I would give them -Zero if I could! The one good thing I can say is they were polite!! They politely messed up my refrigerator!!!! I had a leaky refrigerator when they came and when they left I had no leak but the ice maker stop working, the refrigerator light burned out. Apparently they serge the panel. Then they had me buy pairs that still didn't fix the panel. They kept saying they would come back but never did. So I'm left with No Ice and No Light!!!

DO NOT HIRE!!! You have been warned! If I could give negative stars I would. The owner Josh advised that if I wanted to go with him there would be a $79 diagnostic fee that would go towards the work/repair if we decided to go with him. A diagnostic was performed on June 19, 2021 and almost 2 1/2 months later, our stove still has nit be repaired. I’ve had to reach out to him SEVERAL TIMES and was always dismissed. He would say he can’t talk at that time and will call back, BUT HE NEVER CALLS BACK. He does text to say the part hasn’t come in yet and provides no additional information or updates. He initially agreed to refund the $79, but then later refused. That’s not how you conducted business. He’s VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, FAILS TO RESPOND IN A TIMELY MANNER OR FOLLOW UP, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and FAILS TO CONDUCTED THE WORK YOU PAID AND AGREED TO. Save yourself money and the frustration and DO NOT HIRE.

Our repairman Mustapher Mshihiri was great! He got us on the schedule on the day and time we needed. He called when he was on the way, made a quick diagnosis and fixed our dryer right away. I will definitely use this company again for future repairs.

They repaired our Whirlpool dishwasher last week. We appreciated the Saturday service call, Mustapher was informative about the diagnosis, professional, and communicated before and after the visit. He wore a mask and social distanced due to the pandemic. He quickly diagnosed that a bad water level sensor was causing the issue (drain motor running constantly). Since the part was not available on a Saturday, he returned Monday and fixed the problem at a fair price. Writing this 6 days later and DW is still working well. Robert K, Severna Park, MD

I called Josh Appliance Repair because my ice maker is not working. Still dispenses water, but no ice. They said it was the water inlet valve, replaced it, THEN told us the cost was $279. I made him take the part back off. Plus, how can it be the inlet valve if we still have water available? He charged me $79 I guess for the service fee? Absolutely will not use them again.

Excellent work, highly recommend. Dealt with a GE refrigerator issue with Sears for 15 days and Mshihiri Mustap solved the problem right away. Coils were iced up and fridge not cooling below 60. Sears replaced a defrost thermostat and 15 days later still not fixed. After the second service call to Sears cancelled 20 mins before arrival, I reached out to Josh's Appliance repair, left a message and within an hour got a call back. He told me he could fit me in for the next day no problem and it would be and easy fix from the details I gave him. Sure enough the fridge is back to normal after replacing the defrost heater and I am very pleased with this company's attentiveness and reasonable pricing. The service was far better than dealing with a larger company as well as being quick, professional and local. Meanwhile Sears couldn't get me an appointment for 7 days. So long Sears!!!!! I am absolutely going to use this company from now on. Thank you very much for the quick response especially during the pandemic.

I called on a Saturday morning about ice buildup and copper wire leak with my Samsung pull-out freezer. They originally scheduled for Monday morning but due to weather were able to come out same day. Communicating with them was easy and professional. The job was fixed within 1 hour or so. Price and issue was explained clearly upfront. Throughout things were explained to me as well as to why the ice buildup occurrd. They didn't have the part to add the plastic extender to the copper wire, but cut it and showed me what to buy and how to repair it. Payment was easy and they showed me my card # was not stored etc. I'd recommend them for anyone and would definitely use them again.

I was referred to Josh Appliances through the Sears Home Warranty Program. The guy came out spent an hour and then gave me a seemingly plausible explanation and stated that he needed to order a part. He left. That was over 4 weeks ago. I’ve called him numerous times. If he picks up he says” I’ll call you back in 2 hours. I’m in the middle of a job” I’ve now heard that a few times. Even Sears Home Warranty reps can’t get a hold of him now. Currently he is not responsive at all and I can think of a few reasons for that:
1). He’s a fraud
2). He has no Idea of what he’s doing and just smooth talked his way out.
3). He’s possibly sick with COVID-19
I just want to put this out there for anybody who cares. BEWARE!
Now onto my next issue: Sears Home Warranty -
If you need a real first class service look no further. Mustapher was great. When our 3 year old Kenmore refrigerator quit and with a service agreement with Sears proved useless as we were being told that we would have to wait 2 to 3 weeks for a Sears tech to be available I started searching. After several attempts I call Josh’s Appliance Repair. After explaining the situation we were in Mustapher came right away. Unbelievable that he was here in under an hour and had a diagnosis done and the part ordered and was scheduled to come back the next day. Here’s the part that stands out. Mustapher called me at 6pm that same night and said he had the part and if we were able he would come out and install it after normal service hours. Who does that any more. He installed the new compressor in a timely manner. We need more people like Mustapher. Thanks again for the exceptional customer service
