MCDowell’s has been cleaning my chimney every year since 2009. They are friendly, honest, and their pricing has remained consistent over the years. I recommend them to everyone.

Received call in the morning to confirm time of arrival. Arrived on time and completed cleaning and inspections of wood insert and gas furnace flues. Discussed with Jason replacement of the fireplace insert. Pointed out options and supplied me with information. Have used McDowells for several years and have been completely satisfied with their service.

Great job as always by Jason and Jimmy. They were able to fit us in earlier than expected and clear a hornets nest from our flue liner. Cleanup was complete and cost very reasonable.

Haven't received my report yet, just the bill. McDowells came to my house about 10 days ago to sweep and inspect my chimney. One of their admins called a day or so later to collect their payment and told me the fireplace was OK to use and they'd soon be sending me a report on it's condition and any recommendations for service. It's been about two weeks and I've yet to receive the report. I did get a follow up phone call about a week after to tell me NOT to use the fireplace. No explanation, just don't use it. So at this point I realize I should have spent the money on scratch off tickets. What did I get for my money?

All work done as specified. Caps ordered as requested and installed as soon as available. Team worked well together. Clean up spotless. Finished faster than expected. Very professional and knowledgeable. Easy to work with. Use of cameras to show what was needed in chimneys was helpful. Thorough.

Everyone at Mcdowell's was amazing from the initial call on the phone to the install of our wood burning insert. Everyone was kind, professional and was very clean. I would highly recommend Jason and his team for installs or chimney work and cleaning.

Jason and his team did an excellent, professional job. They even took before-and-after photos to show me exactly what work was completed. This was for my dryer vent located about 30 feet up, and they handled it with no problem. I highly recommend this company—they were honest, thorough, and didn’t try to upsell me.

In getting a new wood burning insert, we used McDowell's for the inspection, cleaning, supply, and installation of a large Regency insert. Excellent communication, highly competent crew, great results. I would highly recommend omnend them as they were recommended to us.

Just two photos - Stairs are completely covered with the same. The two techs that came out were great but sucked after such a good experience with them I go down to see this. I would have assumed plastic sheeting would have went in place to collect all the debris but it doesn’t seem that was the case, no “booties” just raw dogged the house. 🥲 I reached out via email but didn’t receive a response not really expecting anything in return but some kind of apology would have been nice 🤷🏻‍♀️ Pricing seems fair, just make sure you’re on top of their prep. Back to hand scrubbing the basement I go ☮️

They were both extremely knowledgeable and informative. I received great recommendations for the Chimney I have and for upgrading the system to provide better efficiency. McDowell's has always been excellent. They came yesterday on an urgent basis and resolved structural problems with my (older) wood stove flue and damper system. As usual, they were courteous, pleasant and highly efficient. They left the room spotless.

One of their drivers pulled over to make a rude, sarcastic comment at me when I walked past them; all I did was shake my head at them because of their reckless driving on Frederick Road. The email I sent them about this incident was left unanswered.

Reliable Carpet Cleaning is the best carpet cleaning service in the Catonsville area! With very short notice, they cleaned 4 of my rugs within 24 hours, and they are affordable and very, very easy to work with. These guys are great!!
