Constraction reviews in Laurel, Maryland

I was very pleased with the professional services of Monnot Construction. They installed a new patio door for me. The workers were on time, work a mask, and the installation was done well. Also, after price checking, Monnot was the best value regarding quality and price.

Finding a contractor can be so daunting, especially in Maryland. To replace the siding on my house, I talked to quite a few people, and none of them really thrilled me. I trusted Gil immediately, and now that the job is over, I know why.

My house looks AMAZING. The professionalism and attention to detail were top notch, and I'm so so happy to have worked with such a wonderful company.

Highly recommend.

We hired Monnot Construction for our water damage insurance claim they repair our floors and drywall. Gil was very knowledgeable about the insurance process. They did Great Job!

I was very impressed with the professionalism Mr. Gil presented when he came out to give an estimate for Monnot Construction. He was very friendly, he was on time, and the price was great! I will be recommending this company to anyone I know that needs roof work.

Recommended licensed company, for all kinds of construction repair. Monnot construction repaired our rental house roof, which it needed some shingles to be replaced. we contact them through google. very professional service, Gil came and did the inspection and found the issue. we will keep them in mind for any future need.

Monnot Construction is outstanding at everything he does. He is very professional with a relaxed manner.
He remodeled our bathroom and basically helped us in picking things out as we did not really have a vision of what we wanted at first. He further assisted us by coming to the stores with us and did an excellent job of creating a bigger space in our home to allow for a full bath on a second floor Cape. He ended up doing a lot of other smaller jobs for us as well. You won’t regret hiring them for any household job, big or small!

Monnot Construction got us the new roof we knew we needed but were initially denied by our insurance. The roof of our home was damaged by wind in August 2019, and as we watched all of our neighbors have their roofs replaced, our claim was denied by our insurance, and our then contractor shrugged, simply called it a loss, and moved on.

Nearly 12 months later, Gil found us (in a neighborhood of recently replaced roofs, ours stood out in the worst way), and he explained to us our options, that even initially denied, we could call for an additional inspection, even an arbitration if necessary. Gil and Monnot Construction handled all of the paperwork and it would ultimately require arbitration for our insurance to agree to replace our roof. Our roof replacement was scheduled immediately thereafter, and the exceptional work was completed in only a single day. My wife and I are grateful to Monnot construction for having helped us clearly understand the path to our new roof, and for having thoughtfully guided us through the process

From the first phone call to the free estimate to the remodeling of my rental property basement to the replacement of my roof.I received nothing short of
A+ Customer service. Gil and Tony were nothing more than amazing. Very professional they both quickly responded to every email, text message and calls.
I highly recommend Monnot Construction Co. For all your remodeling and rroofing needs

I contacted several local companies to repair wind damage to fascia and siding on my home. None bothered to follow up on my call/request. In contrast, I reached out to Monnot Construction, LLC and they contacted me instantly and Gilbert Monnot came out the next day to provide an estimate. Monnot Construction provided a reasonable estimate and completed the work in a very professional and timely manner. I'll definitely use them again and I'll recommend them to friends and clients in the future.

Gil was fantastic. We were having a hard time finding anyone who would do our Master Bedroom remodel. Gil came in, gave us a great price added in all our little additions (replace roof on shed, tile and paint spare room). Great job and we've already recommended him to a neighbor.

We called Monnot Construction for our water damage and repairs through our insurance company. They know how to handle the claim, and the team was very professional and clean. Great service and on time. Thank you

I hired Monnot in April of 2021 to find and fix the cause of a ceiling leak in my living room. They completed work on a small area of roof above the living room. However, after the next major rain, I contacted them to let them know that the leak had in fact not been fixed. They returned in June to make another fix (for an additional charge). Unfortunately, the leak has continued even after this second attempt to fix. The leak is only evident during heavy rainstorms, so it wasn’t immediately apparent that their work was unsuccessful. I’m now in the position of needing to hire another contractor to solve the same problem I hired Monnot to take care of. This all cost about $1,800. I can only imagine how much worse the water damage has become in the years since.

Firstly, Monnot was the only company I called that would even do the work. All I needed was a replacement of the wind vent on my roof. Every other company wanted to replace the entire roof, not just the vent. They were very quick to show up to examine my roof and showed up promptly to do the work. They said they would be there at noon and 11:59 the first guy showed up. They were done in about 1/2 hour. I highly recommend their service.

Gil and his team were great to work with! We did a complete bathroom remodel with tiled floor and tiled shower wall. In addition we replaced our front door and the flooring in the entryway to the house. Everything looks great! The cost for everything was also very reasonable. We appreciated that Gil visited everyday to inspect the progress of the team and answer any questions.

Monnot Construction is A1! We were in the unique situation of living in Arizona when we needed our gutters and facial repaired on a rental property. Tony and Gil took the time to explain every facet of the job in great detail. They sent us before and after photos while working on the property. We felt completely comfortable with their professionalism, quality of work and overall job knowledge. Excellent job!

I love my new deck! Thank you Gil and your team for helping me renew my old unusable deck. I really appreciate the dedication, hard work from your team! Thanks again!!

Gil and his team were outstanding. They started my renovation on time as scheduled and finished on time as expected. They kept my condo clean and were easy to work with. I hired him to do a complete kitchen renovation, and it was a success! Gil was exceedingly knowledgeable and provided terrific ideas and pointers. I strongly recommend it!

Gil and Tony were very professional before, during and after the roof replacement. The crew that worked on our roof was respectful of our property. Each day they left you would never know they had been there. We were notified and photos were provided for every issue they found with the roof. We went through every picture of the final product thoroughly and ensured any questions were answered prior to making the final payment. I would definitely recommend Monnot Construction.

As a first-time homebuyer I decided to purchase a home that was in foreclosure and do a full renovation. I contacted Monnot Construction and that same day the owner, Gil made himself available to come over and inspect the house for me and give an indication of how much it would cost to do the full renovation, which was so helpful and informed me as to the amount of my offer.

Because Monnot Construction was so responsive and helpful, I hired them to do a full renovation of my new home which was a very detailed and extensive project which included: demolition of the existing structures and junk removal, drywall repair, painting the entire home, full bathroom renovation (3 bathrooms), lighting (installation of at least 10 light fixtures), refinishing stairs, installation and staining of hardwood flooring, installation of new appliances, roof repair, kitchen renovation, and carpeting. This was a very complicated project and was done at a reasonable price, and I am so happy to say that it has been completed and I am now living in my dream home and it is stunningly beautiful!

Monnot Construction was extremely organized when it came to scheduling, as the entire project took about a month and a half and Gil and his foreman coordinated with their team to ensure that people were always working on my house and the project progressed on schedule. He was always available by text message and would regularly send me pictures and updates as to how the project was progressing along. Whenever I made it to the house to check on the progress in person, Gil always took the time to come over and explain where they were in the renovation and answer any questions I had.

The quality of the work and the attention to detail of Monnot Construction are so professional and they clearly take pride in their work to make sure that all lines and finishes are clean. I am so happy that Monnot Construction has helped me and my family live in our dream home. I have found my go-to construction company for other projects on my home. If you have a project, please reach out to Gil and Monnot Construction you will be thrilled with the outcome, we certainly are!!

Best value, hands down. From the initial estimate to the finished roof to the clean up, Monnot Construction delivered top shelf service. The company coordinated with me every step of the way. Gil called me the weekend before the crew arrived and ensured we were ready for the work to start. Tony and his crew showed up and worked like a finely tuned machine. Gil closed out the job and ensured I was satisfied with the work. The last man on the site walked my yard looking for any roofing debris and left with the dumpster. The only thing they left behind was a great looking, solid roof. Highly recommend.

Gil and team are the true definition of a knowledgeable and personal professionals. He answered all of my questions and was very pleasant. Gil and his workers were timely, pricing was fair and they delivered a high quality job. He started my bathroom from scratch and completed it. It has now been over 2 years and it's doing great. I would highly recommend this company.
