John was super helpful and got my thermostat working again, BUT it would have helped if I was told in advance the cost of the visit plus the approx price of repair. The person on the phone did not inform me that the price would be so high -$125 for the visit plus $55 for the help in setting up the thermostat.

They could’ve sold me a new furnace and I wouldn’t have known the difference, but it was the filter that I put in that was making the problem. I cannot recommend them more. They are wonderful and I had an amazing experience when it could’ve been a disaster.

AMD’s mechanical technicians arrived at my condo building at 8 am and brought their tools, machinery and new HVAC heating and cooling systems and placed them in the hallway outside of my condo unit. At 8:30 am two technicians arrived and brought their equipment inside my condo and began working… one technician in my unit and one on the roof of my 10 story condo building. The original (22 + years old) heating and cooling systems were to be replaced as well as my compressor on the roof top. The mechanical technicians were customer friendly, extremely knowledgeable, professional and efficient. They worked continuously without taking breaks and completed removing the old system and installing the new system in 6 hours! In the next 30 minutes, I was shown how to operate the new thermostat, I was shown the new furnace and cooling system and the technician explained what each component is for and how it operates and I was given a number of warranty cards and told to register them online. The technicians then took their tools and equipment to their truck, disposed of all trash and vacuumed my entrance way and the area around my HVAC closet and left the premises. I was pleasantly surprised that the day was stress free and was actually a good experience. I highly recommend AMD Mechanical.

Technicians were respectful of my Property, wearing shoes coverings, covering the area where working and paying close attention to their work environment. They cleaned my HVAC system, did a very check in all areas, cleaned my Duck work, installed my Front Door Filter and did this work effectively and efficiently. I recommend AMD without any hesitation.

AMD Mechanical Contractors has maintained my system for many years. They are professional, reliable, knowledgeable and work hard to make sure my heating and AC needs are met. Last year during an extreme hot spell, my older AC unit stopped working and Anthony was out the next day and spent several hours to get it up and running again. I highly recommend AMD.

In September 2025, I had a Carrier HVAC & Air Conditioning unit installed in my condominium unit. From start to finish, the experience was positive and met my expectations. The company arrived as scheduled and completed the installation within the stated timeframe. The technicians who performed the installation were professional and demonstrated a high level of expertise. They also maintained a courteous attitude throughout the process and answered my questions. Overall, I am pleased with the service and would recommend the company to others seeking reliable HVAC services.

I would not recommend this company.I don't think they had no idea what was wrong with my air conditioning unit. The Technician kept asking for more money without completely solving any issue with the unit. I finally stopped the transaction only to have another Air conditioner repair company come in and fix the Unit for less

Steve and the guys over there are awesome. They always diagnose the problem right away give you a fair price and get it fixed immediately. I've been using them for more than 10 years now and I always call them first for any ac or heating problems

TLDR... Our HVAC system is working again!
Our experience with this company was outstanding! Their technician was deeply patient and competent. Resulting in correctly identifying what was not functioning properly in our system... a faulty smart thermostat, as opposed to a faulty main controller board. Literally the difference between hundreds vs. thousands of dollars in repair costs.

The technician arrived EARLY, which is a pleasant surprise, considering how service appointments are usually scheduled in a time “window” by other companies. The tech was pleasant, quick, and efficient. All in all, a great customer experience.

My technician provided a courtesy call prior to arrival and was within the window given. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He didn't mind me watching and provided answers to my questions. He checked everything fixed the problem and made recommendation for upkeep.

Jordan was very knowledgeable about HVAC systems. He carefully explains the issue and how he resolved the problem. He made recommendations for ways to keep our unit functioning properly and performed the a/c repairs in a timely manner.

I really appreciate the service and maintenance schedule. With my schedule I forget to call them for service but they ensure that everything is covered for me. I think this service is well deserved. I appreciate this company.
