we have used them for both weekly cleaning (which they do an excellent job of- it even pleases my wife which is hard to do) and for their construction services (scraping and painting metal roofs on our house and garage; removing a chain link fence that was set in concrete; removing and installing a sink, vanity and associated plumbing). The various jobs we have hired them for have all been done wonderfully and promptly when promised.

I’ve trusted them for six years and two moves to get the house ready. Always reliable and with excellent service. I use them regularly to keep the house in order and occasionally for a deep clean. Highly recommend for service, price, and reliability.

We’ve used EJC for 5+ years now, primarily for cleaning services but also for the occasional home repair or build. Emely and her team are wonderful to work with - very accommodating (even last minute requests), communicative and always friendly.

I have been using them for over a year and they keep my house clean and tidy. They are reliable and flexible. We have pets and they do a great job keeping the place free of dog hair. If I am in need of a deeper clean in a particular room or the refrigerator they will accommodate and go above and beyond. They are quick, friendly and not disruptive as i typically work from home. I’m glad that I found them.

I can't speak to the other aspects of the business but if you need cleaners they are absolutely worth it.

I’ve been using ECJ for a couple years, and I love the service. They send a staff of about three people to come clean my house. They’re very efficient, and they’re able to complete the cleaning in about an hour and a half. Their work is very well done. And all of this for a very reasonable price. I never used to hire cleaners for routine cleanings, but after working with ECJ once, I decided to ask them to come back every month.

We’ve used ECJ for cleaning our house for over 5 years now. The cleanings are amazingly thorough and have changed with our needs (growing our family, getting pets, losing pets, so many toys everywhere). The staff are incredibly patient and kind when we’re generally a disaster and I’m so grateful for the service. Text communication is quick and efficient. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I will not be using ECJ ever again.

The last time I hired them, in 2023, walking into my apartment felt like a breath of fresh air, like a weight lifted off my shoulders.

This time, it felt like I hired someone to just move stuff around and I was left with more on my to-do list than I had before they came.

My apartment was decently tidy, so I was mainly looking for actual cleaning, especially as I'd recently had a mouse problem. When I booked, I made a note about the mouse issue, asking that they take special care to clean up all the mouse droppings and I asked to add on the window track cleaning, since that wasn't included last time.

I walk in after they leave, and there's still mouse poop in certain areas. And the window tracks are still dirty.

Upon further inspection, I see that baseboards are still grimy, the kitchen floor is not swept. There's a scrub pad left in my sponge tray, and my own sponge has a substance on it I don't recognize. My office desk, left messier than it was when I left. Dead bug under something, meaning they cleaned around it rather than removing the item to clean the space fully. They cleaned the bathtub but not the shower tiles??? Blinds were still dusty. Toilet seat dirty. They vacuumed my couch and ottoman and BED but not the rug in the same room??? I'm just baffled by the choices made here.

I asked them not to touch the bed. They did anyway.

Bedding that I'd put off to the side because the mice had gotten into it somehow ended up on my clean bed. A brand new weighted blanket (which can't be thrown in the laundry) was placed in an area the mice had taken over. An item with a mouse turd on it was placed on my makeup vanity. (So not only did they not clean the item, now my vanity is contaminated.)

I spent the full next day after they left doing the work that I hired them to do. I pulled all my furniture away from the wall, only to be further disappointed to find mouse poop behind every item, indicating they didn't move a single item.

These people clearly just clean for optics. They want to give the illusion of clean without actually cleaning. I have never seen a more half-assed job than the one ECJ cleaners did for me recently.

Idk if these cleaners are new, or if they were just having an off day, but I'm struggling to see what they spent 3 hours cleaning. (2 people, 1.5 hours each)

They did an okay job with stuff like the oven, fridge, bathtub, etc. But they failed completely on stuff I actually cared about. The stuff I specifically hired them for. Bathtub, fridge, oven were all in good shape--and are things I don't mind cleaning myself.

After sending a few photos, Emely was understanding enough to charge me only for the standard cleaning fee rather than the deep clean fee, but the more I looked around, the more I felt like I was still overcharged. She offered to send the cleaners back, which I appreciated, but I had already left home again and moved on with my day.

Just had my first cleaning by RCJ of my apartment. They did an amazing job. Cabinets, counters, fixtures, floors.. Everything was spotless. The even vacuumed the shoes and closet floor. Great service!

Our family has been working with ECJ cleaning for home cleaning for the past few years and they are FANTASTIC! I was initially drawn to the company because it is local to DC, and women-owned/operated. Emely gets back to my texts right away, and is very professional. The cleaning crew always does a great job — no issues or problems in the past 2 years. They show up on time, clean throughly and efficiently, and they are very professional. Our house looks great when we get home, and they are careful with all our things. ECJ has been life saving for our busy family.

I am beyond satisfied with the service from ECJ Cleaning and Construction Services. I own a photography studio (about 2,100 sq. ft.), and after the holidays—with Christmas sessions, regular photo shoots, and content creation—the studio truly needed a deep, detailed cleaning, especially the off-white vinyl floors (and if you know, you know how easily those show dirt!).

The team—Naun, Karla, and Paty—arrived today and did an AMAZING job from top to bottom. Not only were they professional, but they were also very friendly and brought great energy. I’m all about good vibes, and they definitely delivered.

Hector was punctual, professional, and communicated well. He made sure he knew exactly what I wanted, set appropriate expectations,and took the time to educate me on the process. I will be calling back for futures service. Oh yeah, the carpet and floors look great. Much better than the first company I tired.

How grateful are we for Donald! He arrived to our rescue after returning building to our dog using the entire playroom as her personal out house. The carpet smells good and looks like new, again. satisfied. recommend.

Luis and Miguel were highly effective, managing to clean our carpets within just an hour. We had numerous pet and kid-related stains, and they were able to eliminate all but two stubborn spots. These challenging areas are now less noticeable, which is impressive considering the nature of the spills that caused them. We're thoroughly delighted with their work and would certainly employ their carpet cleaning services again in Washington.

i had a team come out to restretch my carpet, which had been installed a couple years back. the carpet kept getting ripples, and even though other companies tried to fix it a few times, the issue never really went away. this time, luis and miguel checked everything closely and actually found out what was wrong—the carpet had not been installed the right way from the start. they took videos and explained the problem clearly, which no one else had done before. they really paid attention to detail and showed pride in their work, finally giving me answers after years of wondering. i'm happy with their service and will definitely have them back for upholstery cleaning. it's great to deal with a company that truly cares about doing a good job.

this is the fourth or fifth time i've had Budget Empire Carpet Cleaning clean my carpets. with a big family, kids, and dogs, we have plenty of spills and messes on our carpets. the technicians, like johnathan and miguel, are always professional and do a great job every time. they really know how to get carpets looking fresh and clean. sometimes, tough stains like makeup or old spills might not come out completely, especially if they've been there a long time or if i've used other cleaning products on them before. but overall, i'm always happy with the results and will keep recommending them to friends and family.
