After some phone difficulty I was happy that Veronica was able to assist with both my order for fuel oil and booking my furnace cleaning. She was very pleasant and patient, answering my questions.

Service technician and original office are great. Some growing pain since the other company took it over what is definitely improved but not quite bad to its normal. Previously would have given him five star no doubt

since this review in 2018-19 I have left Cernak Fuel after over a decade with them Hop Energy took over, and the service from the office has plummeted. I tried them for over a year since the switch, but had a number of problems which at the old Cernak would haven't even been a problem. You really are just a number and all of the things which made using Cernak worth the extra cost are gone.

Cernak Fuel is THE Best company to do business with for your home. I bought my first house a little over 2 years ago and 2 of my best friends have done business with Cernak Fuel for years and they highly recommended Cernak Fuel. Now I know why! One of the technicians came out ahead of the closing to look over the system. He advised me on the things I need to do, and other things I didn't need to do and saved me a bunch of money. With a dirt floor in the basement, they gave me a proposal to install a new Roth oil tank. They installed it promptly and saved me tons of cash. The office staff is always so friendly! The drivers and technicians are always on time and knowledgeable. I get treated like a VIP, not like a number. I got the service contract and it really paid off. I'd recommend Cernak Fuel to anyone!

I have been with Cernak for close to 20 years… I switched to them after my 2nd year in my home because the experience I had with the company who had been doing the service for my home prior to my purchasing it, was frustrating and I felt, quite overpriced…
I am thrilled with Cernak for many reasons, but the main one is their caring employees and professionalism. I have been in this home so long thst I have had a handful of different techs, but whoever they have working for them have always been extremely friendly and knowledgeable and appear when they say they will and always have been willing to explain and answer any questions I may have… for this, I am thankful. Donny has been my Service Tech for the last Few Years, and Donny is by far, my favorite Tech of all. Today was just a yearly service cleaning, which I have had done well over a dozen times, but Donny still managed to teach me something about my system that will make my life actually vastly easier for the years to come! How nobody had taught me to do this in years past, is shocking… but this is why Donny is my favorite tech. He takes extra time each visit to make sure to teach me more about my system and if he suggests doing something additional he will always explain to me why the suggestion was made and then let me make an informed decision about whether or not I would like to do it at that point or if I would prefer to wait. It’s never a heavy sale or an assumption that I will agree and he makes the decision for me.
I hope Cernak appreciates what an asset Donny is to their team… and as the owner of a small business myself, I would be thrilled to hear that my employees went above and beyond consistently to make my clients feel confident with their decision to use my business was the right one! Donny is a keeper, let him know he’s appreciated…(everyone loves a bonus or a gift card or something…🙃 just sayin’😜)!
End of a long story…. Even though Cernak was bought by HOP energy, the local staff is still the same… the bill may look different and the prices may have changed a bit… but the service is still the same awesome service Cernak has always provided.

Veronica was so kind and helpful as she helped me establish a new contract. My current contract was ending (but not yet completed) and she was able to schedule the final delivery so I could then create a new contract. Thanks Veronica for walking me thru these details as well as explaining clearly all of the charges. Super helpful.

It has been a pleasure having Cernak Fuel for the past 14 years after purchasing the family homestead from my siblings and my parents used Cernak Fuel before that time. You have worked with me and my family for many years and are always available if a problem arises. As a widow living on a limited income your payment plan is easy for me to manage. Thank you for working with me.

I used Cernak for a year, but declined to renew this winter. We had issues with our boiler at the start of the winter and had to call the Cernak service tech out twice. He was a nice guy but didn't seem to have any idea how to troubleshoot the boiler, despite it being relatively new. We ended up hiring a separate company to come take a look at it and they identified and resolved the issue quickly.

This company has been quietly overcharging my elderly mother $4.85 per gallon of heating oil when the highest rate that I can find with other companies is under $3.50. They prey on the elderly!
Do not just respond by saying, “let’s take this quietly off line”. Answer for yourself publicly.
The facts are here; why have you scammed thousands of dollars from my unsuspecting, elderly mother over the years? And why should I not take you to small claims court over this?
I have just learned that there is a class action suit against your over charging.

I have been a customer for years. I was on automatic delivery and was shocked to see the price go $3.849 in February to $5.219 on 3/9 and when I checked their website today (3/11) it would be $4.719. Since they own storage tanks, don't tell me my oil is $0.50 more per gallon in 2 days. This is price gouging. I am sorry but I am flabbergasted at a local company doing this. I called no real response except they price based not on what they paid for the fuel but today's market price. Disgusted.
