We had a great experience with Sostilio & Sons Plumbing & Heating. Mike installed new gas piping, separate shutoff off of gas main line, a new gas stove replacing an electric one, took care of the permit and inspection. He gave us a fair price and he was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process.

Love these guys! Mike is incredibly responsive and thorough, I trust them most importantly.

We had been putting off replacing our tankless water heater and hot water tank for a few years but didn't want to risk it this winter, so we reached out to Sostilio & Sons because we had a positive experience with them for other plumbing issues at another time. John and Mike came out, reviewed the situation, and made a proposal that was reasonable for a system that offered the right level of performance for our needs.

Our system was challenging to install and required a few customizations after the fact to achieve peak performance Mike didn't rest until those customizations were made and the system was perfect, and he didn't charge us for the extra trips because he wanted us to be happy with our investment. He was always professional, with a smile on his face, and he clearly takes pride in his work.

I’ve never used them before, but I was so impressed with Mike and the work he did for me they will be my go to plumbers going forward. Mike was extremely professional, very polite, knowledgeable, competent, and very thorough in his work. My experience with this team was absolute top tier. They have perfected the family run business. Excellent communication and execution throughout. John and Matt came in to verify there were no concerns to covert from oil to gas, a quote, and a timeline to do so. They hit all pieces perfectly and installed the system with no issue and Mike helped me navigate the intricacies of a Mass Save Heat Loan and Working with Eversource techs to install the gas line. They provided great customer service throughout as I like to ask a lot of questions and they always had timely and helpful responses. They also coordinated with their own electrician to take care of those pieces and were careful and clean as my system is in a finished basement which they took extra steps to protect. I wish all contractors got even half this much right when working with them. There is no other plumber I would even think about contacting moving forward.

We had an old tankless water heater that failed and needed replacement. It was a big job, so I reached out to Mike at Sostilio and Sons with a quote from our previous plumber to see if he could take a look. He responded quickly, came over right away, and provided a more competitive quote that also included additional upgrades—replacing the expansion tank, circulator pump, and improving the exhaust/intake to prevent future issues.

We decided to move forward, and they scheduled the installation promptly, which we really appreciated since our heat was unreliable. Mike, his brother, and father completed the job in a day. Everything was done professionally for a great price, and the new system is working great. We had an excellent experience with Sostilio and Sons and will definitely continue using them. Sostilio and Sons is a legit father and (2) son team. After meeting with a handful of recommended plumbers for a project which involved installing a tankless water heater and re-plumbing/replacing a pump in a laundry sink, I decided to go with Sostilio as their price was very competitive (actually less than the two others), their recommends were spot on, and Mike (older son) was incredibly nice, informative and relatable

They completed the work yesterday. They promptly arrived at 9AM as planned, and worked all day with smiles, jokes and left at the end of the day with everything neat, clean and working like a charm.

VERY happy with the work, and can confidently recommend them without question. Also, they did the work mid-pandemic. Any time I was around, they had masks on which I very much appreciated.

Not much to add to what has been said already about these guys - John, Mike, and Matt. Sostilio and Sons just replaced an old indirect water heater tank and circulator on my steam boiler system and did a fantastic job. Experience and expertise are critical in this business and they put them to good use in my old (1936) house’s heating system. They were prompt, they explained things as they went along, and they left the place cleaner than it was when they started. And it cost what they said it would cost. They were recommended to me by my daughter who had them replace her furnace and I’m as happy as she is with their work. An easy call for next time!

Our water heater tank unexpectedly cracked and died on a Wed morning This was the 4th water tank to die in the 16 years we've lived in this house.

I texted Sostilios when this happened, and within 30 min Mike Sostilio called us. In less than an hour he appeared at our house and helped us drain the cracked heater. He educated us about the advantages (esp. the reliability and energy savings) of a modern tankless water heater. We liked what we heard and agreed to go that way. Within 2 days, the Sostilios team had the new tankless heater system installed, configured, and running for us. We're very happy with the results.

Mike Sostilio is our Hero. Furnace stopped working on Friday morning. On Sunday, MA is going to get a major snowstorm with subzero temperatures starting Friday night. My two elderly parents have no heat and this was very concerning knowing who can I call on such short notice. Well I remembered John Sostilio and his son who helped me out a couple years past and they were fantastic. So I called, and this time John’s son, Mike arrived Friday, had all the parts, and fixed the furnace before sundown. My parents have heat, the ladies are pleased, and the pets are happy. Michael was really great on our three bathroom toilet replacement and bathtub trim update project. He was patient with us as we made up our minds, and gave great advice. The work looks terrific. Sostilio also handled our boiler replacement last year, and we have recommended them to friends and family.

John Sostilio and Sons installed a new gas stove for me two years ago. I called them back to replace my 50 year old gas boiler. They came to check on my system on time and returned a timely estimate with two options. I did get other estimates but decided on Sostilio and Sons from my prior experience with them, their work for a neighbor and their pricing. I’m very pleased with their work and fully recommend them.

Recently we had a problem with the gas fireplace and he came and helped me get it restarted. They are reliable, reasonable, and honest. Definitely appreciate them being local and do recommend to many friends and neighbors.

We had a heating emergency with our Navien water heater and Mike Sostilio came out first thing. He diagnosed the problem quickly and said we could repair the part in question rather than replace the whole thing. He even had all the parts on his truck to fix it! He was very clear in his explanations and took the time to help me understand the issues that were going on. He checked the whole system over carefully and made sure it was working properly before he left. The cost for all of his work was many thousands of dollars less than the other quotes I received. The heat was back on within two hours and the system is running better than ever! Mike does super high quality work, and is completely reliable, tidy, friendly, responsive, honest, and very reasonably priced. I cannot recommend Sostilio and Sons more highly. I wish every company were more like them!
