It doesn’t get any better. This team is always there for me, looking to save me money and always doing a great job. I used to do a a lot of stuff myself, but I’m so glad I can trust Thompson to come in and take care of everything when I’m not around, or just don’t want to. I always feel like a super valued customer every time I speak with them. Great family business.

These guys were Awesome and I recommend them 100% — gratefully! Why? They were:

1) RESPONSIVE. When I called them we were in a tight spot and they sent their estimator to us the very next day.
2) PATIENT. Their estimator spent time explaining what he saw, how to fix it (the whole system!) and why. He gave us a lesson in plumbing 101, which made us feel a lot better undertaking this unexpectedly big project.
3) ACCOMMODATING. They worked hard to get this done ASAP and communicated during the process when the plan changed, which it did!
4) CARED. We had an “after hours” overflow issue that they discovered, managed, and resolved. We *really* appreciated that.
5) QUALITY. The work is 95% done, it's all working, and every time they were here they left our place better than they found it.

Woke up to no heat. This company scheduled someone within the HOUR. He showed up on time and was terrific! This is the only company that we will use moving forward!

Evan and Colin came to diagnose and repair a leak in the bathroom. They were both professional, highly knowledgeable, and great to work with. They found the problem quickly and fixed it. They even made recommendations to prevent any issues in the future! Incredible service from them at Thompson Plumbing, super happy!

Friendly, fast, efficient and fair....these guys are great! I live in Maine and the water heater at a home I own in Medford sprung a leak. I called them way before business hours, left a message and Joe called me 2 minutes later. They reached out to my tenant to set up a time to do the work, which they were able to do it within hours of my call. The tech, Kyle was super nice, knowledgeable and efficient. The price was reasonable and they didn't ask for payment until the job was done. Highly recommend them for whatever plumbing needs you have!

Thompson has been our go-to plumber for a while now! They have fixed a major leak in our wall, replaced a water heater, as well as several smaller jobs over the past few years.
They never fail to be prompt, throughout and wonderful to work with. They are also reasonable price wise for the turn around time and quality of service.
Finally, they are all just the nicest. From giving me time updates so I can plan naps, wearing masks to protect my medically complex daughter, to allowing my son to “help” then fix the sink and explaining every step of the process to him, every interaction with this team has been lovely.

I had heard of James Thompson Plumbing & Heating from my local fb page and had heard good things locally. I reached out and set an appointment for general cleaning/tune-up of my boiler. They were really great, nice and very informative giving me tips and future maintenance. I would gladly use them again!

Very professional job done, local guys which I love and excellent work. I'm addition, the plumber went above and beyond to explain how he installed my toilet in such a way that - many years from now- should anyone go awry, any leak would not go invisibly into the subfloor, but rather be immediately evident in the back of the toilet so you can take care of it early on before it can destroy your home. This level of care and explanation is awesome and so appreciated. Top rating for great work.

Want to send a thanks to Evan and crew at James Thompson plumbing and heating. I had a hot water issue with one of 3 heaters , which turned into an unexpected issues with my 2 other heaters and 2 furnaces. Income property in Medford , been 30 years or more for the furnaces , and just about 6 years on the water heaters. I had no choice but to replace them now that the weather is warm and Evan reassured he could have the job completed in a timely manner . I’m completely satisfied with the results and made a great decision to do business with Thompson plumbing, and planning to hire them in the future.

Had a major water leak from my water heater in the evening. Evan came out the next morning to inspect the water heater and also offered replacement of furnace as it was 40 years old. He was not pushy but merely indicated replacing the furnace with the water heater may be a smart move considering the age. They also provided a discount for replacing both at the same time. He came out with his team the next day and replaced both units. They were very efficient and left the basement clean of debris and hauled away old units. I am appreciative of their quick work as we were leaving on a trip and needed the replacements done as quick as possible. Would highly recommend this company and will most likely use them in the future if needed.

At 3:30 pm yesterday I discovered I had no hot water and that my hot water tank was leaking. I immediately called and spoke with Joey. He was great and said hopefully someone could replace it the next day. (today).
This morning at 9am Scott and Evan arrived. They were wonderful! Both were professional and knowledgeable.
I am very grateful that Thompson Plumbing was able to resolve this so quickly!
I have been using them for many years and would never consider going to another plumber.

Had a problem with my kitchen sink Maintenance called John Sewer and Aiden came out and fixed the problem quickly. Very pleasant too. (Loved his accent)

Adian from John's came to my house this week after a call last night. He was prompt the next morning and professional. He explained everything he was doing and was very pleasant. He would be an asset to anyone's company. I will be calling John 's in the future.

John's Sewer sent someone out in the morning to fix a slow flushing & slow filling toilet. The first guy that came did a bunch of work but didn't really fix anything, so I was a bit frustrated. But then, to my surprise, a few hours later got another call that they were sending someone else (Aidan) and right away he was able to figure out the problem, ran out to the hardware store to get the replacement part, and came back quickly and fixed it!

He was super communicative, cleaned up nicely after he solved it, and even showed me what the issue was after he fixed it.

Would definitely use this service again as long as Aidan was the guy they sent!

3 year old decided to flush her PJs down the toilet and clogged our main waste pipe. They picked up on one ring and had a tech out to our house in an hour. He worked efficiently and was able to clear the clog in no time. 10/10 recommend.

Honestly - cant thank Patrick enough. My basement was flooding, toilets were not flushing, and all a week before my wedding !! Patrick saved me ! He was super prompt and documented everything very clearly. Pricing is transparent and very honest. 11/10 would highly recommend to anyone.

We had a main sewer drain backup that was threatening to flood the basement on a Saturday afternoon. We called John's and they had a technician to our house in around an hour. The technician who helped us, Aidan, was spectacular. We've had our fair share of experience over the years with sewer line issues and have dealt with these problems numerous times - Aidan was the best technician we've ever had. He took extra care to make almost no mess whatsoever with the equipment by putting down tarps and covering the cleanout machine. He solved the problem and was totally done within an hour. I thought our Saturday night plans were going to be ruined - but everything was totally resolved within two hours. It was a top notch experience.

John's went out of their way to help me. I actually had a broken main drain, but they came out when nobody else would. Top rate service!!
