Constraction reviews in Grand Rapids, Michigan

!!!Would not recommend!!!
I would strongly advise you do not use this company. The professionalism ended at my kitchen table with the salesperson. The install process was not good at all. They didn’t do what they said they would do. It looked like they rushed through the work. There was a fairly long list of problems with the install. The whole project basically needed to be redone because of how poorly it was done the first time. The second people that came to fix the problem didn’t fix the problem and left without even asking me to look at the work before they left. After expressing my concerns to the installation manager he said he’d send someone out to look at it. Two days later a guy showed up with the expectation that he was there to “re caulk some stuff” We assessed the problem came up with a solution I agreed to and I was told I would be called later that day to make it happen. It’s bow the next day, still haven’t heard from anyone and my bathroom still looks like poo!
-over sell under deliver
-poor communication
- sub par work
- didn’t do what was promised
- unprofessional installers
- two months after install and I’m still fighting to get everything fixed.
- didn’t fix the issues the second or even third time
On one positive note they did at least say they’d fix it. Haven’t yet but we will see what happens and if they at least make it right that’ll be about the only good thing about this company. -
Scheduled an appointment, sales person showed up on time, but refused to begin discussing the project and and left, looking to reschedule, as my wife was not present. This is all despite me assuring them we are in the early phases of the project and would not be making any decisions at all, just looking to get a feel for pricing and options.
They said it was due to "company policy" with no other real explanation. They certainly lost a sale as it was a complete waste of my time to get off work and rearrange my schedule for the meeting. I am only guessing this policy is due to high pressure sales tactics. If they had insisted on this over the phone when scheduling, I would have told them never mind, this isn't the type of business I would want to work with. -
Consider before inviting this company into your home if you are really looking for a pressure pitch complete with the “call to my manager” and the sign right now offer followed with insulting remarks and an attempt to pit my wife against me when we said we wanted other quotes. Good contractors let people get multiple quotes!
They are offering discounts in exchange for good google reviews, so be skeptical of 5* reviews. We were quoted 9k for a tub replacement -
This company is so sketchy. They have an automated system call you so it only actually connects 1 out of every 3 times. They insisted on reconfirming an appointment that I made only a couple hours prior. Then when they came out, they said they would give me a discount if I wrote them a good google review. When I said I would need to think about it, they called two days later wanting to send out a "production manager" to "verify measurements" and offer me a better discount. Why couldn't they use the measurements the first guy took? Why did they need to come out again. Super sketchy.

Lewis did an AWESOME job of presenting the product, explaining the plan, and getting us a price that we felt was the best for our needs! He also has a great smile and a winning personality; my husband and I think he was great

The sales person Nick was polite and well informed about the product. He did not rush or pressure me into anything I didn’t want. He arrived on time and we interacted well, as we discussed the expections of the completed project.

We had a very small shower for our kids. We had Travis come help us set up a large deep soak tub and an amazing shower. The workers installed everything in one day. From the sales man Travis to the workers everything was so easy and done to perfection. That’s to them all.
-
Travis explained the company’s quality very well, and convinced my wife and I they were a great company to work with. He was also willing to help us with our project both the working aspect and the financial portion.

My experience with Leaf Home Bath was amazing. The gentlemen came out exactly when they said they'd be there and immediately began the work. At the end of the day I had a beautiful new shower. I would use them again in a heartbeat. This is a wonderful company who prides themselves on quality, price and service. I am so grateful that I chose them.

David called was rude once I told him I don't have time for their sales person to come out and give me a two hour sales pitch. He said they needed to take measurements. I offered to give the measurements. All I wanted was a simple tub replaced nothing else. I asked for a ballpark estimate for just a tub replacement and they wouldn't give me one. If they do this every day there is no reason why they can't give a ballpark price. Needles to say, he hung up on me in the middle of my sentence when I said I don't have time for the sales person to spend two hours at my home. Stay far away from these one day bath places!
Overpriced crooks -
Josh Strickland was in the installer. Great job. 3 hours

We had a great experience working with Nick. He was willing to work within our needs. There were so many design options and they only use the top quality materials. AND it's all manufactured in the USA which is great. Highly recommend.
-
Nick did a fantastic job with the estimate and explaining everything involved with the process. We were very impressed with his knowledge and the ease of which he explained things. We would gladly work with him anytime and we are very excited about getting our walk in shower!

A representative from leaf home came out today. I had a great professional time with Travis. He was very knowledgeable and we are very excited for our new shower.

Stefan gave us a detailed in-home consultation. He was very knowledgeable about the product, and had some innovative design ideas to maximize the limited space in our small upstairs bathroom. Considering the scope of work, Leaf Home Bath offered a very reasonable price, and a lifetime guarantee on top of that. Can't wait for the installation.

Despite an ordinary start to our meeting, which was for an estimate on a tub replacement, our sales person turned icy in his tone specifically toward my wife when I had to step away from the table for work. He constantly talked down to us and demonstrated no attempts at understanding what we wanted or what we could handle in terms of price. He was clearly trying to pressure us to make a multi-thousand dollar decision when we had made it clear that we were shopping around and were only interested in an estimate. Upon being told that we couldn't commit to a purchase contract right in the moment, he left with a severely negative attitude. No smile or "thanks for your time" from him despite us trying to be pleasant in the face of so much pressure, simply silently kept his eyes down and left. It looks like based on some of the other reviews I've read that this place likes to offer discounts for positive Google reviews, which makes sense as I doubt they could come by them honestly. I would recommend working with any other company.

The salesman was high pressure, you have to sign now or you won't get the discount! He kept talking & we finally agreed to do it since it wasn't our first quote. Told him we had the money so that wasn't the issue! After 3 weeks they finally got a appointment for usin another 2 weeks. By then we found someone else that was cheaper and sooner so we canceled.
Last week (3 months after the first visit) we got a letter about a loan that we hadn't done! We called the number on the letter & it was Leaf Home Bath that initiated the loan, with out our knowledge!
Be very careful with this company, best keep looking for someone else! -
My aunt recently had a representative of Leaf Home Bath come do an estimate for a tub to walk-in shower conversion in our home. The representative was skeptical, and dismissive, about how the City we live in was going to cover the expenses of doing so.
This is something that is easily found on the City's website, or by contacting the person at the City who is overseeing the project, and ultimately approves who will perform the work (we had to get three quotes). The funds are a grant from HUD, passed to the local government to assist in situations like ours: two members of the family having mobility disabilities.
The representative of Leaf Home Bath wouldn't even send my aunt the estimate, nor would he send it to the City contact. My aunt literally resorted to taking a picture of the dollar amount; no breakdown of materials, labor, and other charges. Just a dollar amount.
This is incredibly unprofessional, and I've never heard of a company who willingly refuse to submit an estimate in the hopes of winning the bid to get paid. If I could give zero stars, I would. Try better next time. I'm glad your company did not get awarded the project. -
Josh and Shawn did a great job. Did very well in covering up the floors and cleaning up after themselves when job was finished

leaf home bath came today to look at a shower replacement that we needed in our half bath. The representative, Travis, was excellent in presenting the product and the quality of service that will be rendered. We confidently move ahead with this project as we feel the pricing that went with the quality of service and product will be excellent. Plus this all comes with a lifetime guarantee.

Our representative Vy was amazing! Love the product and can’t wait to have it installed! The prices were amazing and easy to work with for financing
