We have used MJ Electric about 3 or 4 times now during our construction. They are always available quickly when I call or text, are thorough and professional each time they come out to do work. They are our first call anytime we need electrical updates, new outlets, and new light fixtures.

Submitting a ticket online, getting a phone call, and making an appointment was easy and fast. An electrician came out quickly, explained the issues we were having and why. Made a fast, diagnosis, fast repair and was very transparent. He suggested some, "nice-to-have" upgrades in the future and will keep them in mind when the time comes.

Called MJ Electric for out door electrical repair/replacement. They had a guy out here in less than 2 hours......took out old system, put in new, ,,,, super quick, super efficient. I will use them again without hesitation.

Our central air conditioner lost electrical power during a stretch of hot and humid weather. Mike of MJ Electric took my call and told me he would have someone come the next morning. The electrician arrived at 8:00 AM and quickly diagnosed the problem; ordered the part(s) with a quick delivery back to him and soon got the A/C up and running again. He was very knowledgeable, professional and personable - I will definitely call on MJ Electric for future electrical repairs and installations!

I called MJ electric in order to get my home in Richfield up to code for the city point of sales inspection. The electrician who came out was super helpful and the office staff got us the certification form right away. Super happy them.

Day 1 meeting to explain what we wanted to do as far as where to install the light outlet boxes and electrical outlets. I felt that I was asking too much when I was explaining to them what I wanted to the owner. I called to him again to make sure that he understood what we wanted. The next meeting he sent a new person and then I had to explain again. Felt the owner did not care about what we wanted after initial meeting. Did not explain how the work would be done except on paper which was not easily understood and costs breakdown was vague.. From start to finish, communication of when the workers are coming was lacking and the updates of the progress, issues, etc… was poor. I will definitely not use them again. Unfortunately, we were stuck with them once the job was started. Couple of emails to address some issues or concerns that I had with the work went unanswered. Do not use the company. The garbage was not taken out but left in the garage and the debris inside our basement was not cleaned up.

I HIGHLY recommend MJ Electric. These guys rescued me from a kitchen-remodeling nightmare starring an electrician from a different company. A friend recommended that I call MJ Electric who sent someone out the very next day (!!) to take a look at everything. They had the actual work finished within a week. The owner even came out to personally inspect the work after it was done.

They answer the phone, they show up on time, they do things correctly, and they clean up! I will use them for everything going forward because I trust them, they are honest, and they provide top-quality electrical services at an honest price point. I've already given their number to several people. I give them ten stars!

We had MJ electric upgrade the two services at our duplex from 100 amp to 200 amp services. They also upgraded the old interior fuseboxes to Siemens 200 Amp breaker panels.

The MJ Electric pros did a workmanlike job and behaved in a courteous and professional manner while they worked onsite. They also cleaned up after themselves in an admirable manner. It was a pleasure to work with them and I recommend them.

Their 2023 cost for a residential 200amp panel upgrade is around $5,000. Because we upgraded two services at the same site and there weren't any special issues or conditions we were give a discounted price of $8,500 for the two service upgrades.

BUILDING ON EARLIER KUDOS:
After only 3 months of our new Overhead Main Line Conversion in operation a storm felled a large tree on the line, bending the mast, leaving a gaping exposed hole where the flashing was torn off, and threatening disaster if (and when) the line finally snapped. MJ Electric's team went above and beyond to make sure that a new conduit was installed and the damage to the roof addressed before we faced series rain water or pest control issues, despite running into considerable red tape with Xcel. THANK YOU.

EARLIER:
We couldn't be more impressed with the quality of service, customer and technical, we received from MJ Electric over the past month. After discovering that our underground main line had failed, it appeared we had no good options: tear up a 500 sq/ft section of decking and move a hot tub or move the meter (and destroy our finished basement) location entirely. Brad made two visits to our home to meet with us and our Xcel Solutions Design engineer, diligently diagnosing the challenges and patiently mapping out our options. Without going into project specifics (which were legion), Brad and his team came up with a workable solution that saved us thousands of dollars and months of disruption. Also, Mike personally answered our calls and bent over backwards to ensure the project was completed on time and invoiced fairly. We will absolutely recommend MJ Electric to our Bloomington neighbors, given the opportunity.

We were impressed with prompt, reliable, quality, affordable service. We added additional lighting in several rooms and it was done in such a timely manner. We plan on using MJ electric in few more projects soon.

Called MJ electric out for a kitchen remodel. This was a total replacement and rewire and required new breakers and Arc faults. They fit me in super quickly and their prices were the best in town that I had bid the job.

They were very professional and serious when on site. Didn’t waste any time and worked constantly throughout the day.

We had a very small window of time to restore a house damaged by renters.  We completed some of the electrical repairs needed but ran out of time for the rest.  MJ Electric came out twice, sooner than expected both times (we had MJ install some outdoor lights, we didn't notice the replacements we brought with were damaged so we had to purchase new ones, that's why they had to come out twice).  Excellent workmanship: professional, efficient, and courteous.  We highly recommend MJ Electric.
