I had my basement carpet cleaned last night. We have an ivory berber carpet in the recreation room, and a tan shag in the bedroom. Both of these areas have become our teenage son’s “man cave”. He has friends over, they eat, drink and spill in both rooms. We’re planning on selling the big house when he graduates from high school this spring – so I haven’t been too concerned over the carpet stains, knowing that we will replace all the carpet.

But suddenly we were going to have lots of family over for the holidays and I was ready to get new carpet. Now! But my sister recommended I try a professional cleaner first.

I called Cavalry Carpet Cleaning, because they are from Eden Prairie, and had some good online reviews. I was just hoping that the mystery brown, blue and red stains (koolaid?) could become lighter. I was amazed!! As I saw the clean carpet next to the still dirty section – it was like new carpet. It was ivory again! All the big stains were gone, and a couple small stains still remained - - but unless I told you where the stain was – it was so lightened that it was invisible! I wish I would have taken before and after pictures – because the transformation was really impressive.

Working in the property management industry, I havent found anyone who can restore carpet the way Cavalry does for us.. I've been using them for a few years now and they have come through every time and even restored some of the worst soils and stains that I never thought would come clean. When you combine that with the competitive rates, its an easy choice to make when it comes to carpet cleaning..

I have used Cavalry several times in the past few years and they do a good job getting rid of stains, including coffee stains,and also getting rid of pet odors. My parents recommended them and used them to clean their furniture upholstery. They are always clean, professional, and on time.

This is the second time we've had Jim clean our carpets. He arrives on time and does a great job. His prices are great, too. We will have him back again.

Jim, the owner, and Scott came and did a site visit for a weird spot stain. I had some bug spray leak in a cheap duffel bag and the bug spray ate through some black synthetic rubber or vinyl that was part of the duffel bag. It created these weird gelatinous black blobs that got on the wool carpet in one of our closets. Jim said he would come and take a look and evaluate whether there was anything to do. Since it was such a small spot, he said he would lower his minimum fee. He also said if when he saw it, he could tell there was nothing to do, then he wouldn’t charge me to come look at it. When Jim and Scott arrived, they were pleasant and got right to work, looked at the spot and said it was worth a try and if they didn’t get it out, then I would not have to pay. They worked on the spot, made it much better, but ultimately it had been on the carpet too long (the stain was probably a week old before I noticed it when I moved the duffel bag, and some of the dye from the synthetic material that had disintegrated and was already, as they say, dyed in the wool). So, even though they made the spot better, and even though they spent a good amount of time trying to get the spot out, Jim stuck to what he had said when he arrived and didn’t charge me for the visit. I definitely recommend Cavalry Carpet to anyone looking for some honest, knowledgeable, flexible professionals that truly seem to want to help their clients.

Cavalry Carpet cleaners were recommended to me by a neighbor and and I'm glad they did. I was sure my kids carpet (two rooms) would have to be replaced but all they really needed was a good solid cleaning. I had an odd schedule that week and Cavalry worked around it.
