Came back from a trip to California thinking we needed a fire pit in our backyard. Solicited bids from three companies and chose Dean because he had great examples of similar work he'd done, a competitive bid and because he took the time to listen to our ideas about what we wanted in the fire pit but also in the yard overall. We ended up with a bigger project than we originally contemplated, but one that really enhances our enjoyment of our yard.

Perhaps the best testament I can give for the work Dean and his team did for us is this: last night, my family sat around the fire pit for six hours, just talking and hanging out. We're very happy and highly recommend Dean for any sort of outdoor landscaping and construction.

After meeting with other top landscapers, we chose to work with Dean on an extensive landscaping job. He provided a multiphase design that was inline with our budget. This design was completed with a couple of consultations with us, which we greatly appreciated. Following the design his crew went to work. They scraped and regraded entire yard, installed a beautiful bluestone patio with stone sitting wall. They also added an irrigation system, full sod yard, and beds. His crew worked hard and with attention to detail. They were very respectful to our neighborhood as they worked away. Dean was quick to answer calls from us and was very attentive through out the process. We would not hesitate to recommend Dean and his crew.

We just had Dean re-grade our back yard and put up a retaining wall and it looks fantastic! I will most likely have him do more work on our property in the future. Dean was easy to work with and very responsive when we had questions. A very professional operation which is refreshing as compared to a lot of the landscaping companies out there!

We hired Dean to do major work on our property due to faulty grading around our home that caused water infiltrations and foundation problems. Dean took the time to come over several times, look at the situation, and discuss options and work required to fix the problem. He is very thorough in assessing the work to be done, so the proposal reflects the actual cost of the project and there is no "surprise" extra costs added to the project as we go along. He was flexible when we had issues with the initial schedule, and what we appreciated the most was his responsiveness whenever we had a question or if we ran into unexpected problems during the project. We would hire him again in a heartbeat if we had more work to do on our property and highly recommend him.

Over the last several years I have had landscaping and hardscaping work done by Dean's company. I helped out two of my sons when they moved into their homes by gifting them their landscaping when they first moved in. All three of the jobs were completed on time, and the work was outstanding. Dean's designs are well thought out and have been perfect for the homes. He keeps his commitments, follows up promptly if their are any problems that come up, and goes above and beyond to ensure you are completely satisfied with his work. It is so hard to find reliable, high quality and high integrity professionals - his company fits the bill.

Dean and his crew were great. Dean was great to work with on design. Great ideas and responsive to feedback. Work started in the early side of the timing expectation he established. Once it started, his crew was punctual, courteous, professional, and quick. We are delighted with our newly transformed back yard.

I contacted Dean early in the season and we went through a pretty in-depth consultation addressing my drainage concerns as well updating the poor landscaping attempt a previous home owner put in place.

His crew was able to come out about 2 weeks earlier than originally anticipated and they worked efficiently.

We worked with Dean and his crew to design and install a beautiful brick paver walkway, a stone staircase, and beautiful stone retaining walls. They improved our drainage too. Dean has been wonderful. His team does amazing work, and we love our oasis that has been created. You don't see many owners willing to come out multiple times, or change plans multiple times for their clients with a positive attitude and willing to do it, to make things as perfect as we wanted them. If we have had a question, he has been a phone call, or quick email reply away. Dean also went above and beyond for our backyard so we could get the most out of it. Our yard backs up to a "nature preserve"and we told Dean we would reach out to the city and get some information for him, and before we even picked up the phone, he had been in contact with the city multiple times. 11/10 customer service. If you want a hassle-free job with beautiful work, Dean is your guy! He was the easiest contractor I've ever worked with. He was extremely responsive and cared about every concern I had. He had suggestions for me when I needed them and has understood all my concerns from the start. I have a 3-phase project with him and he has completed phase 1 beautifully. He did some grading for me and put a new sidewalk in so the water wasn't flowing to my house any longer. It looks amazing! I highly recommend Dean Bjorkstrand!

He was prompt in returning my call, clear about pricing, and most importantly, he was willing to get to my project in a timely manner. His crew arrived when expected, were efficient, and honest (not all of the snow needed to be removed) about what needed to be done. Not only will I use Dean again, I've already signed up for additional spring services!

We met one time with Dean to discuss our needs for front and backyard lighting. He listened to what most mattered to us for safety, security and aesthetics.
