Ryan, George, and Adam did a great job with our riprap and steps on our river bank. The initial consult, the plan, the materials, the work, and the follow-up was superb! We are very happy with the results. We highly recommend NEC!

We had major ice dams this year. I waited until close to the last minute as it was going to get nice in 3 days. I messaged Dean via his website, he responded that same day - Very promptly. Dean's Crew was able to come within two days - They were friendly, gave me helpful tips for the future and worked quickly & efficiently. They completed clearing four large dams within an hour and a half. The price was much more reasonable compared to other companies (By at least $150!!!) and I'm very happy I went with Dean and his team. I will take steps next year to hopefully NOT have ice dams but if for some reason I end up with them again, I'm contacting Dean Bjorkstrand right away. You should too!

Dean took great care of us. We were on a tight schedule to be done before our graduation party. He came through in plenty of time. We use our patio almost every day and get compliments every time we have guests. Our rough ideas were fine tuned by Dean and became reality. Thanks.

If you are considering landscaping in the Minneapolis area, I highly recommend Dean Bjorkstrand Landscaping. The recently did a patio/backyard redesign for us and we could not be happier. Dean was very thorough with us throughout the quoting/design phase and has so much knowledge to offer while also being considerate of budget and personal preference. When his crew was on site to perform the work they had great communication and worked so quickly. Now we get to enjoy our backyard for the rest of the summer!

We had a great experience with Dean and his crew. They were professional, timely, and we were very pleased with the end result. This was our first time hiring a landscaper and Dean took his time explaining to us the process and answering any questions we had. We would for sure hire Dean again for future projects.

Dean and crew were absolutely fantastic to work with. I'd HIGHLY recommend them. We landscaped our entire yard. Stone patio and pathways, raised vegetable garden, 5 trees, and 100+ shrubs/perennials. Dean came up with a great plan full of just about every possibility. We scaled it back a bit, but never felt like there was any pressure to "upsell" us on anything. Communication was stellar. When we had questions or wanted to make changes, Dean was incredibly responsive. We usually heard back the same day. Installation actually happened a couple weeks earlier than anticipated (since when are contractors every early!). His guys were very respectful and did a great job. We made a few last-minute changes in the midst of install. There was no groaning or pushback; it just got done. It looks great, and we can't wait to see to see it grow over the next few years!

We were continually having water/flooding in our basement with each significant rainfall. Dean assessed the situation and accurately diagnosed the problem. Dean repaired, heightened and strengthened five window wells and re-landscaped the area to eliminate run-off into our basement.

Dean did the job very well and very quickly, providing timely information from scheduling to estimating through to completion. Dean is a great guy, knows what he is doing and you can trust him to do what and when he says he’ll do it.

We’ll work with Dean Bjorkstrand again and recommend Dean Highly.

A little late writing this, we had several bidders for landscape work at our home, and we really liked Dean and his ideas best. Very responsive and on time with his proposals and pricing, gave us a full breakdown of every wish list item we had and the cost of each, and then we worked together to find the best combination of ideas to fit our budget: removal of existing landscaping, installation of new mulch beds, stepping stone walking path, plants, trees, and resodding and new grass seeding.
Dean's crew was great, very professional, and accommodating to our on-the-fly modifications, and everything was cleaned up at the end of each work day, I'm sure the neighbors appreciated!
Everything was completed on time and on budget, and a year later, all but one plant survived and everything is thriving! Our yard is transformed from an eyesore to a beautiful and colorful landscape.
Recommend Dean for his friendliness and professionalism, and every time I've called him with a question or concern, there he is stopping by and checking in same day. Reliability and honesty are very important to me, and Dean checks all the boxes.

We always use Dean Bjokstrand Inc. for gutter cleaning (at least twice a year) and ice dam removal when necessary during the winter. In addition, Dean's crew routinely does battle with the threats to our lawn. What impresses me is that Dean makes explicit at the front end what they are doing for you, and then, remarkably compared to other shops, his crew does the work when they say they will do it, and their efforts are helpful and well done. The operation is professional from start to finish, and Dean himself is very responsive should any questions or concern arise. I recommend his services to anyone.

I entered into a contract with Dean Bjorkstrand to build steps on my patio to my slider door. Throughout the whole process Dean was readily available to answer any questions that I had and to make professional recommendations as to stone size and colors. His work was outstanding and it was great to deal directly with the owner rather than a representative. Service was provided on time and to the specs we both agreed too. Dean Bjorkstrand has completed many jobs for me, big and small. It all started with gutter cleaning, then window cleaning and on to landscaping.
The staff Dean employs are delightful, tidy, and hard workers. Dean has done a lot of landscaping for the yard, which is thriving,and his crew solved a major problem with drainage.
This year, we are addressing the lower deck. Dean has designed what looks like a tremendous improvement and enhancement to the house.
Dean is friendly, prompt in his responses, overall great to work with.

We have had a few projects completed by Dean and his team and they did a great job on both. When we started, we had water in our basement and our landscaping looked terrible. Now we have no water and our landscaping looks great! Dean gave us several options on both projects, which made the process much easier. There are no extra costs or expenses beyond what he says it will be. We will be using Dean and his team again!

I had a great experience with Dean and his company. I had them design and install a lighting system for my yard and from the start he showed up on time with ideas and how they could fit in my budget. The installation went smoothly without any issues and the lights look great. This winter a portion of the wiring was damaged by a snow blower and Dean came out the next day to help me with a repair. I would recommend to my friends and family if they ever need landscaping help. Definitely a 5 star review.

Dean was referred to us via a neighborhood friend. Our initial meeting with Dean was a consultation on our patio repair. Dean knew exactly the work needed, provided us a bid in a timely manner and started the work nearly immediately. Our patio looks brand new and required true craftsmanship. No surprises along the way!

Extremely impressed. Dean completed work on our property this summer (August 2019). We were really pleased with the quality and professionalism of his crew. They were efficient and prepped the area and completed the work quickly. The outcome was exactly what we were hoping for and while some follow up was required, Dean remained extremely responsive throughout.

Dean helped us design a backyard that was beyond what we could imagine. He had great ideas for incorporating our wishes and had great suggestion for what types of plants to install, products for decking, and patio stones. He was very prompt with communication and finished the project far ahead of schedule. He made the project so easy for us and we are so excited to use our new outdoor space. He even had designs that we may add on in future years.

Dean came up with a design for our back yard patio and executed the plan perfectly. The site guys took the time to carefully save some of the bushes we wanted to keep. The guys were on site every day from the beginning of the project all the way through. Dean had great design ideas for us that we hadn't thought of. The patio is beautiful.
