This was my first experience with Northern Plumbing and it was fantastic! In my initial call with Jeane (a name close to that) they couldn't send someone until Monday, when I explained that the problem was causing my house to have no water she said she would call me back and they shifted some things around and sent someone that day.

When Skip came he was extremely pleasant and listened to every concern I had and then walked me through what he was seeing. As he continued with the work he showed me pieces he was replacing and what was going in. It made all of the work feel very honest and made me feel like I understood the plumbing in my home much better.

When the work was all done Skip gave me a full rundown of how to work the pipes, as some of shutdown switches had been upgraded from very outdated systems, and again went over all the work that had been done.

The most important thing, to me, was there was not a moment where Skip talked down to me or lectured me about the damage that had been done. That seems to be a big thing when plumbers come to my house, they lecture me about the work they are doing. This was completley different. Just friendly Skip doing a great job.

Hello, Thank you very much for the good work you did. The first time you visited my house you renovated the water purifier and now it is the second time that I went to change the water heater and I really liked your work. Highly recommended.

I had three related issues that needed to be addressed: a bathroom sink trap that needed to be cleared and/or replaced; the hot and cold water supply lines for the tub-shower tom have shut-off valves installed in-line; and the tub-shower faucets/controls to be replaced. Chris and Elmer did the trap repair/replace the afternoon of 12/3, and Elmer returned, with Skip, morning of 12/4 -- both teams did an excellent job; they were professional, competent, and explained what they were going to do clearly. All the required repairs and replacements were done in a timely manner, with complete clean up. I highly recommend Northern Plumbing & Softening.

Plumber was very friendly and professional. Work was completed in a timely manner and the plumber took the additional time to clean up after the work was completed.

Elmir was fantastic. He explained my choices and was able to schedule around my travels. He showed me how to drain my old water heater so it wouldn’t leak while I was gone. He was quick and efficient with the installation. He also cleaned up so that area looked better than before he came. I highly recommend Northern plumbing.

Elmir and Skip came today to replace my garbage disposal with a straight pipe. They both were professional and personable. They looked at the situation, explained what needed to happen, gave me a good estimate of the price. Once I signed it they got to work and finished it in a timely manner. They showed me the finished work and had tested to make sure there was no leaking. They left no mess behind at all. I will definitely use Northern Plumbing again and highly recommend them.

Elmir and Skip were amazing. Super friendly staff. My water heater was broken and they were able to replace it same day (lucked out that they had one in their van). While I went through my home warranty, they didn’t make it seem like an issue (other companies have). Gave me great insight on what to look out for since I own an older home.

This started out with me co reacting my warranty company, which led to them denying me coverage.

However, the company dispatched to my house, Northern Water and Softening, sent me 2 remarkable gentleman to diagnose the issue. After determining that I’d have to pay for the entire job, Skip, one of the men sent to my house, worked with me the entire time to get the job done. 2 days (because I had to go to work) he finished the job, and I’m fairly positive it was past his working hours.

Skip provided knowledge and insight to my issue, provided me a detailed breakdown of what work was being done, and offered follow up assistance should anything happen afterwards. He was in contact with the warranty company as well looking to see if any part of it could be covered, or if we could waive the service fee should another issue arise during repairs. (Thankfully none did)

It was a great service in my time of need. My wife and I are grateful to have hot water again, and our new puppy Kenai is going to miss the nice man who came around for a couple days.

10/5 would recommend.

I had the pleasure of meeting Skip and Elmir today. I had inherited a burst pipe in a new home. They were able to diagnose the issue fairly quickly and engaged in a logical explanation to what needed to be done, along with alternatives. Ultimately , when we decided on a pathway forward they went to work quickly. Overall it was a solid experience , I hope I don’t need them anytime soon , but I’ll know who to call.

Very quick to respond. On time. Professional and great customer service. Skip and Patrick were very nice and respectful to me, my dogs and my home.

Skip and his apprentice were wonderful! Northern Plumbing & Softening were able to schedule us an appointment quickly. They called before they arrived and arrived even a few minutes early. They fixed our problem toilet; were very professional and very nice. They explained everything to us. We were thrilled with the entire process from the ease of scheduling to the completion of the task. If you are looking for a plumbing service, we would highly recommend. We kept their business card in our "use in the future" stack!

Chuck and Nate were friendly, prompt, fast, precise, and done quickly. They even showed up an hour and a half early! Completely wowed and the best plumbers we have ever had. Our water filter and faucet work perfectly! Save yourself a hassle and have these guys do your job for you!

I called because there was a tiny hole under my business sink in a copper pipe, and water was spraying out a bit. So I made an appointment, and the repair person was supposed to come 3–4 days later. But before they came, I didn’t get any updates or confirmation messages at all. When I called again, they told me they had misunderstood my address, so it didn’t show up in their system and that’s why they hadn’t come. That’s when I started to get really frustrated.

The repair guy finally showed up, and to check where the leak was coming from, he said he needed to remove the epoxy tape I had put on because the water was spraying like a mist. I said okay. But while he was removing it, he ended up creating an even bigger hole on the opposite side of the pipe and even bent the pipe — and later claimed he didn’t do it. Then he told me the pipe was old and that the whole thing needed to be replaced, estimating the cost at $1,400–1,800.

He didn’t seem to know what he was doing at all. He kept taking pictures and asking his team what he should do. It didn’t look professional whatsoever. When I told him the price was way too high, he said I still needed to pay a $140 trip fee. I mean, if the pipe was supposedly too old and needed full replacement, he should’ve said that from the beginning — not make the pipe worse and then charge me a $140 trip fee. And instead of simply cutting out the 13–14 cm section and repairing it, he tried to make it into a full replacement to charge a huge amount.
So I asked for the manager’s phone number, and he gave me the owner’s number, so I called.

I don’t remember his name exactly, but I explained to him what had happened. And right away, he got angry and told me not to blame his plumber. I told him I was willing to pay the trip fee, but the plumber himself had said he doesn’t know he can fix it or not, and impossible to simply cut and reconnect because the pipe is bent. And the owner he was getting angry at me. He even said, “Don’t take advantage of us.” I mean, is that something you say to a customer who’s just explaining the situation? And as the result, plumber made bigger hole and bent the pipe.
I’ve never experienced such an outrageous and infuriating level of customer service in my life.

As a business owner myself, I think throwing out an overpriced estimate like that is absolutely unreasonable.

Do NOT ever get anything fixed here.

Have work done twice by the company and have been very happy with the quality.
Very responsive and helpful with quoting and upfront with pricing.

Would recommend for any plumbing when you need.

Northern Plumbing provided a great service, we would highly recommend! They installed our new water heater professionally and efficiently. We had a bit of a hiccup during the process with our home warranty company but the guys at Northern Plumbing handled the situation while simultaneously installing our new water heater and all was sorted out in the end!
