A member of my family is a contractor which focuses on higher end remodels. I asked him whom I can use that will provide excellent service for replacing our HVAC system, he recommended Binder. Had them come out last winter / spring for a quote on a Heat Pump system for our home. They came in a decent price with the equipment that I wanted. The install took place a few weeks later. They had to come out a couple times to finish up and clean up a few lingering issues, but were straight forward and made it right in the end. The system doesn't do everything we were promised, but what it lacks isn't going to affect us. Also had to follow up on them supplying the information for rebates as well as leveling the compressor and replacing a shield they damaged on it.

Requested another quote this fall for adding onto the system, took a couple weeks to get the quote, which came in much higher than expected. Appears to be a supply issue. Requested some changes to the quote to see if we can drop the price a bit, no reply after a week. So holding off for now, but overall, happy with our experiences with Binder, even if I had to follow up with them more than I like.

Binder has come through for us time and again. I’ll never forget when we brought our firstborn home and our AC went out… They were able to send someone out right away to help us and save our sanity. We have regular maintenance done with Binder and we’ve learned so much from their friendly techs. We asked about adding a humidifier to our system and they truly went above and beyond with install and education. Our home is so much more comfortable! We always recommend them to friends and family. Look no further for your HVAC needs! They are a moral, customer service focused, and community minded business!

This company has been serving the metro area from South St Paul for generations! The two man crew replaced my 30 year old furnace and a/c unit. They were very knowledgeable, friendly and professional - answered all my questions and shared all the information I could possibly absorb. They left the place cleaner than it was when they started and performed all their work respecting the home, and with a smile on their face. All at a price I found very pleasantly surprising. They do these changeouts/replacements, and service to existing systems. With the knowledge they displayed and the optimism and enthusiasm they showed, I highly, highly recommend Binder Heating & Air.

Binder replaced my furnace in November. They gave me several options to choose from and the estimates were straightforward and cost-efficient. Picked a high efficiency furnace to pair with a heat pump in the future. Adam and Alec did a great job, including fixing a couple "I know a guy" issues (as Adam put it). Happy with the results. Binder Heating has been my go to for any issues with my furnace and air conditioner for years. They are so helpful whenever I call, and I appreciate that they are a local company still owned by a family.

From the scheduling staff to the guys who actually came out and installed our ductwork, the service here is stellar. I really can't recommend them enough. Their pricing was very reasonable, and their work was clean and efficient. I also appreciated that Michael, who I believe is one of the owners, was the one who did the original estimate and then also came out during installation to make sure everything was going well. It's very clear that this company cares about their employees, clients, and community, and I think that type of character is rare in a company these days. I will gladly support them by giving them my business in the future.

My dad’s furnace stopped heating over the weekend, so I contacted Binders Heating & Air Conditioning for emergency “after hours” service. They were very responsive and even walked me through some trouble shooting in an attempt to save me money on their after hours rates. Sadly, the fix required their hands-on service, but we got up and running! The technician, Chuck, was very pleasant and informative and did great work! The cost was higher than I would have liked, particularly since my dad’s on a fixed income, but Chuck suggested I contact a manager tomorrow to inquire about a senior and/or military discount, which I think is viable, so I will contact the office in the morning. All and all, a good experience, that’s why we continue to work with Binders; you should too!

Eric made a very quick install after waiting for a new motor to ship for my furnace. Really appreciated the speed and professionalism! He also pointed out a possible cause (condensation) and described a solution so it doesn’t happen again. Thank you so much!!
Mike previously came by on MLKJ day, and made sure to order the part so it arrived as quickly as possible after talking about the possibilities for the holiday weekend and giving a cost/benefit analysis of when he should stop by and what the prices would be to get the parts on a holiday weekend vs waiting a couple of days. Since the part wasn’t in stock anyways, it would have been an extra cost for nothing, so I’m glad he was really upfront about that possibility. They were both very honest about the price ahead of time and sent the quotes/invoices promptly.

We love working with Binder. They are great value for money. We have an old house with a complicated heating system - an old boiler system, infloor heating, 12 zones, etc. We signed up for their seasonal maintenance program, and have no regrets. Everyone who works there is a knowledgeable professional with a great customer focus - good advice, high quality work, and helpful in emergencies. They work hard to make it easy to work with them. We will be customers for life.

I’m not someone who trusts easily, and I’m very wary of people trying to swindle me for money. The Binder company was referred to me by a contractor I trusted. I can never thank him enough for the referral because Binder Heat & Air were a godsend. I never once felt like any rep from this company was just trying to sell me something. I felt heard, humored (me using descriptive words to explain what I was experiencing because I didn’t know the technical terms), and I felt understood. They worked with me versus talked down to me. They provided explanations to what they were seeing, what they thought, and I felt like they were genuinely trying to help me not break me. Any time I have any issues with my heating or a/c, they will be the first people I call. Very good company with very good employees. Highly recommend.

Binder Heating & Air replaced 28 Furnace and AC units at one of our town home developments. As a project manager I could not have been happier with the whole process. From the initial walkthrough to final inspection, Binder paid attention to our agency and our resident needs. The installers did a great job communicating with residents as well as keeping me informed of their progress. We had one warranty issue that came up several months after install and Binder was incredibly responsive; Ultimately replacing the furnace with a new one.

Went to Binder looking to get ducting, AC, and Furnace installed in an already finished home without any HVAC. They were very communicative and walked me through my options. They did amazing work. They were able to install ducting throughout our entire house while taking great care not to unnecessarily open up or damage the finished walls/ceilings, it was very tactical and impressive. The furnace and AC work great. A tough job done well, and done timely. I highly recommend them.

We couldn't be happier! We have a unique old house that uses heat pumps for air conditioning, which needed replacing due to old age. Met with Nick for a consult and he was honest, straightforward and very thorough. He gained our trusted immediately. When it came to installation, it was a complicated and challenging project but Mike and Alec managed it like true professionals. In 2 days all the units, including a rooftop condenser, were installed and working perfectly. Stephanie, the office manager, is FANTASTIC--she is the backbone to this fabulous HVAC company. Wonderful service and quality products! We had a heat pump installed. The workers from Binder were on time, friendly, professional, and thorough. They explained everything they did, showed us how to work the equipment, and even put up with our overly-enthusiastic dog! The heat pump is working well and we're very pleased.

On 2/18/2025 I came home from a trip and my thermostat was blank. I realized my furnace was not receiving power. Circuit breaker was fine. MN temps were dangerously low. Temp in my home was 26 degrees. I originally called Dean's Home Services. I was advised I had a gas leak from my newly installed water heater and my door switch was bad and my evaporator coil was very dirty with lots of buildup from previous owners. I was quoted $5,261.01 to repair the door switch and replace evaporator coil and he will fix the gas leak for free, but could NOT guarantee this will fix the problem. That my furnace was 18yo and it was better to replace. I received a quote of $17,243.99 (after a discount of $3,043.05) for a "great" system and $13,636.78 (after discount of $2,406.48) for a "basic" system if I made the decision the same day to fix the next day (the technician asked me several times about making a quick decision and I knew I needed a 2nd quote).

My colleague recommended Binder and made the connection. Binder sent their BEST technician Mike S. who showed up to my home in about an hour from my initial contact. I heard my furnace turn on within 10 mins of him being in my home. He confirmed my door switch was bad and apologized (for a different company's employee) that I was left with no heat and was not offered to just have my door switch repaired, so I could at least have heat until I was ready to decide to replace the furnace or not. Mike walked me through my furnace, educated me on my filters, and made sure I understood was was accurate on my original quote and was was not quite necessary to charge for prior to actually doing the work as it may not be needed. I received a new quote to replace my heat & air system that was under my original quote.

But more importantly...Binder came to my home...not to force/scare me more about my situation or take advantage of me financially to meet a sales goal/quota. It was evident their goal was to just to get me heat so my family can sleep in a safe home. Mike showed up with compassion, heart, and a level of customer service excellence that is rarely seen. I can't say thank you enough to him & Binder.

My grandson, a young new homeowner, woke up to no heat in January and called the company the prior owner had to come look it and they said it was toast and he needed a new one. I have been a customer of Binder for many many years so I placed a call to them as I trust their honesty. I sent them a copy of the other companies findings and as it was late in the day we purchased some space heaters, which I learned everyone in MN should have in case of emergencies like this, and they said Bob would be out the next day to give us a quote. The price was accepted and the new furnace was installed the next day. As I said before I’ve been with Binder for many years and their professionalism, honesty, & customer service is top notch.
