Highly recommend Elliot and Sensible Heating and Air Conditioning. After calling several companies only to reach their call centers, it was great to get connected to this truly local business. Elliot was quick to respond and did an incredible job with repairs. Again, highly recommend!

Came home on a hot Sunday night with a sick wife and no A/C (stressful to say the least). Elliot responded quickly, was honest, professional, and easy to work with. While emergency service isn’t cheap, he was upfront about everything and absolutely earned my trust and future business.

So grateful and so happy with the late night service we received! On such a cold night the owner showed up for us, was competent, friendly and went the extra mile. Nice and warm now!!

Elliot replaced two of three damper motors for our furnace today. He had to go out to find the motors we needed, and did so very quickly.
Elliot is professional, prompt, great at explaining the issue at hand, and very nice. He’s had years of experience in the field and is obviously very knowledgeable. Also, I felt totally comfortable with him in our home. I can see why his ratings are so high!

Elliot was able to come take a look at my broken A/C within 15 minutes of calling, able to give a quick diagnosis, went over the options and offered competitive pricing for a new A/C installation. He took extra time to look into what A/C would pair with my furnace to be eligible for rebates, even if it led me in the direction of getting A/C from another installer.

I can’t say enough good things about this company and the exceptional service we received! My wife and I had been dealing with a recurring heating issue that just wouldn’t go away. After reaching out to a well-known company in St. Paul, we had our problem "fixed" temporarily, only for it to resurface again. At that point, a friend who works in HVAC recommended this business because they specialize in boilers. My friend specifically mentioned the owner, Elliot, by name and I’m so glad they did!

Elliot was an absolute lifesaver! Not only did he come out to our home within an hour on a cold Monday evening, but he truly went above and beyond. He didn’t just fix the issue; he took the time to walk us through what was going on, showed us how to handle potential future problems, and even followed up the next day to make sure everything was working properly. His prices were lower than what I paid the big company that didn’t even solve the problem in the first place, and what really stood out to me was how kind and patient he was. He never once made us feel like we didn’t know what we were talking about. He even turned up the efficiency on our boiler, and now we’ve already noticed a significant improvement—we’ve been able to turn off our electric heater!

I trust this business completely and will definitely be reaching out for any future heating needs. While I hope we don’t have to call them again anytime soon, I know that we’re in great hands if we ever do. I can’t recommend them enough!

Elliot was open, honest, and patient during the quote process. Once I decided to go with him he was quick about getting the work done. He showed up around 1 and was done by 3:30 or so, and my house is finally getting cool again. Highly recommend!

Just worked with Sensible Heating & Air for the first time—so glad I did.
It was a hot weekend and my AC went out, so I started calling around in a bit of a panic. I got in touch with Elliot, and he couldn’t have been more responsive or helpful. Even with my older unit, he showed up with a can-do attitude and zero sales pressure.
His pricing was very fair, but honestly, I’d gladly pay whatever it takes to work with someone like him. I’ll be using Sensible Heating & Air for anything I need moving forward. Highly recommend.

I found them to seem much more honest than a lot of the bigger shops because the were actually focused on fixing a problem versus looking for a more expensive one to sell you on. Saved me from >$1k in costs for furnace work/parts I didn't need.

Elliot was awesome to work with!! I called him early one Friday morning after my furnace went out, and he came out to check it out that same day and had the issue resolved on the following day. He was very flexible with my scheduling. He is very knowledgeable and prompt with responding to my many questions. His pricing is well below other quotes that I had gotten. I definitely plan on having him back to do work in the future.

Our condenser started having issues (squealing noise and fan struggling to spin) that seemed to be getting worse. I saw Sensible was nearby and well reviewed, so I sent a message via the online form around 5 PM on a Monday. I heard back about an hour later and scheduled a visit for Tuesday morning. Elliot came by right on time and checked out the issue, suspecting a bad capacitor which testing confirmed. He replaced the capacitor, checked coolant pressure (was fine), closed everything up, and was on his way less than 20 minutes after he arrived. The unit already sounds better, and he said to follow up if there were any issues. The cost was pretty reasonable given the quality of service and the piece of mind of getting a professional check. Elliot was also a very nice guy and easy to work with. Altogether I'm very satisfied and will likely return should I have any other HVAC needs in the future.

We had a great experience working with Elliot twice now. He is very responsive, able to come out quickly, and great/easy to work with. He was able to figure out a problem with our AC after being told our unit needed to be replaced altogether (saving us a ton of money!!). We cannot recommend Elliot enough.

Elliot and his team did an amazing job installing a mini-split in our upstairs bedroom during our upstairs bathroom remodel. We'll have them back for future HVAC needs without hesitation. In fact, they'll be who we call eventually for the whole home humidifier we hope to have installed soon.

Yes Elliot is a very sensible guy. Got my furnace quickly running again. Very honest with the assessment and helped saved me some dollars!

Elliot was able to come out the same day in the evening after contacting him, and fix my AC unit with a new capacitor. Another company told me I’d need to replace the whole condenser motor for $1200, but Elliot was able to get me back up and running for $300. I really appreciate his honesty and quick turnaround and would highly recommend Sensible!
