I called on Monday (4/7) and was told a designer would call me back, no call. I emailed and still no response. I'm puzzled that no one there wants to get back to me on remodeling my kitchen. If it's this hard to get an initial phone call to schedule a consultation I can't imagine how hard it would be when going through the remodeling process. I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Kitchens by Design provided full remodeling services for my kitchen. The work included design, tear-down, electrical, plumbing, project management and installation. They did a great job and stayed on schedule. I enjoyed working with Victoria and the KbyD team. I continually receive compliments on my kitchen and would use them again, easily.

Bretta is a great designer/project manager. She really listened to my vision and needs, and was very hands on. The KBD team took my old 1950's bathroom and transformed it into a modern work of art. The skill trades people/demo team were awesome and communicated well with her and me if they had questions. Workmanship was impeccable. I believe that KBD offer a good value compared to other contractors that gave me estimates. I can't wait for them to do my kitchen in 2-3 years!

Our remodel was a floor to ceiling, wall-to-wall, down to the studs project, and they and their contractors did not disappoint at any step of the project. We love our new kitchen, it turned out beautifully! The project management support was great for most of the process, but communication dropped off toward the end. There wasn’t a final check-in to confirm everything met our expectations, and responses became quite delayed. We ended up finishing a few details ourselves, like painting touch-ups and filling nail holes on the new cabinet trim. Not major issues, but for a full kitchen remodel, we expected those items to be handled and reviewed at the end.

We also had new flooring installed, and the transition between rooms was chosen and installed without our input, it’s not what we would have picked. I hadn’t realized that was something I needed to ask about, and I wish those types of design decisions had been discussed ahead of time with the project manager.

Overall, we’re very happy with the finished space, but better end-of-project communication and quality follow-up would have made the experience better.

I love love love my kitchen!! Bretta was exceptionally detail-oriented, took the time to understand my goals, and transformed my vision into reality. She strongly advocated for me with the companies involved, making sure everything was done right and to my liking. Side note- I am NOT LOCAL! she did it from miles away! We had Kitchens By Design redo our kitchen, bathrooms (except for tub and shower), all main level flooring, and all main level lighting. It all looks great and we love it. Dawn was easy to work with and helped us pick out good items. She coordinated all the subcontractors and workers and everything went according to plan. Shawn, the carpenter, was amazing and was excellent at everything he did. I felt the pricing was very fair and competitive. We would for sure have Kitchens By Design back for our next project.

Dawn at Kitchens By Design did a wonderful job with our bathroom remodel project. The project included the complete remodel of our main floor bathroom and addition of a new bathroom in the basement. Dawn designed the new spaces and guided us through the many choices we had to make about colors, finishes, and materials. She expertly coordinated all of her subcontractors throughout the construction phase. Each one was a true craftsman, and we are very pleased with the end results. Exceptional Work and True Professionalism — 2026 Update

J.O. Thompson, Inc. recently completed my heated kitchen floor using a Nuheat Duo Mat radiant heating system beneath imported Spanish tile, and the results are outstanding. The floor looks phenomenal — perfectly level, precise, and beautifully finished.

From day one, their professionalism and attitude have been exceptional. I added to the scope multiple times (at least four!) and they handled every change without hesitation — they actually said they love add-ons. They were also incredibly flexible with my busy renovation schedule, coordinating seamlessly with other contractors throughout the project.

During installation, a small dent and scratch occurred on my refrigerator. They immediately acknowledged it and offered to make it right — that kind of honesty and accountability is rare and deeply appreciated. Huge green flag.

A special shoutout to Chuck, who guided me through every step of the process — from design and measurements to nearly 300 emails worth of questions — always with patience, expertise, and good humor. And to Scott, whose craftsmanship, precision, and creative ideas elevated the finished product far beyond expectations. Both were truly exceptional to work with.

2026 Update:
Now that the original flooring project has been fully completed, I can confidently say the quality has held up exactly as expected. Based on that experience, I’ve since hired them again to re-floor approximately 1,200 square feet of my basement with luxury vinyl plank (wood-look) flooring throughout the entire space. Given how smooth the first project was, moving forward with a much larger basement flooring installation was an easy decision, and the process has been just as professional and well-managed.

They’ve also completed additional finishing work for me, and I’m continuing to use them for future flooring projects in my home.
