I called at 7:15 to have our furnace repaired. It was back up and running by 9 am for a lot less than we thought we would pay. Really happy with this experience!

Tom answered my call right away and helped me fix and then later replace a boiler. He was on time, responsive, respectful, and no nonsense-- just what you want in a repairman!

While I can't speak for their service, do not buy parts from them as they are outrageously expensive. Also, check your bill to make sure they aren't price gouging you on the parts and additionally charging you expensive labor time. They sold me a filament for $92 that retails for under $20. That transaction made me lose my trust in them.

Furnace stopped on frigid near zero degree night. I called Hinding at 7:03 AM. I was told they'd have someone out "shortly". At 7:18 AM Pat and Justin arrived.

They instantly diagnosed the problem and got the furnace running. It's the original 60 year-old furnace and because of its age a worry. Pat also made recommendations for staged parts upgrades short of an entire new furnace.

Fabulous service!! Humming along now at comfortable 70 degrees.

Had them come today to clean and tune the furnace. Tech seemed to be hurried and skipped some stuff. Basically cleaned the burner. Then asked if I wanted a new coupler which I said yes to. The thermo coupler seemed overpriced...you can get the part as low as 6.00 and he charged me 52!! That's one heck of a markup or a crazy hourly labor rate as it took him about 3 minutes to replace it.

I asked if he was going to check the boiler pressure which he never really did. I'm absolutely sure my old boiler gauge is off by 10psi (20psi on the gauge and my 30psi pressure release valve opens up). I would've been nice if he had his own pressure gauge to check it but kind of blew me off when I asked and said my gauge was fine....

Basically cleaned the burner super quick and replaced the coupler (that comes out with the burner anyhow) and was boom gone. Not really that impressed at all.

I've got 2 young kids and it was hotter than a pistol in our house as our AC wasn't working - Tom snuck us into his busy schedule, and did some Amazing work on getting our AC back up and running. South of the City this guy is Solid.

I strongly recommend Hinding. I had an issue with my furnace. Hinding was very responsive. They outlined my options and without any pressure immediately went with the option I chose and fixed the problem. All at a reasonable price.

I LOVE Hinding! Pat from Hinding came over and within 5 minutes (at no charge) figured out what the Bonfe "technician" I had used the day before (via an amazon coupon for a furnace and Air conditioner tune up) couldn't do in 2 hours! The Bonfe guy told me that I'd need to replace not only my furnace (which he was right about), but also our air conditioner as well.

Our air conditioner had been working perfectly well until the Bonfe guy started looking at it and all of a sudden it just "stopped working" ...he said it would need to be replaced also. I told him that was very odd as it was working perfectly well up to when he started looking at????

I contacted Hinding and Pat came out for a second bid on the furnace and air conditioner. Within a very short time he identified that the air conditioner had "shorted out" and he got it working within a few minutes (at NO charge!), He recommended that we not replace it at that time (that was 3 years ago and it is still working!)

Hinding replaced our furnace with a better bid than the Bonfe guy had given me (for the exact same furnace).. Might I add that Bonfe had told me they were giving me a good bid because we had used them for the tune up.

Anyway, Hinding replaced our furnace 3 years ago and we are very pleased with their work and the furnace they put in...they are experts at what they do. I have recommended them to everyone. I would use them again in a heart beat!

wow, one of the most prompt, courteous and professional HVAC companies I've ever had to use. Definately recommend Hinding!

My wife and I decided to buy a new furnace and we had five different bids. The salesmen that came made a big production out of measuring windows and measuring rooms and presenting spreadsheets and graphs of costs and savings. Enter Hinding, the guy comes in with no sales pitch at all but goes straight to the furnace room and ask what it is we are looking for, high efficiency, double stage or single stage. Now the other guys tried to establish rapport, like hey, I got a truck just like yours, or hey I am a funny guy and let me relate to you with jokes, none of which I had time for, anyway they go right to the top of the line with all the bells and whistles. The guy from Hinding says, I would go with an 80% single stage, they are by far the most reliable and I have more calls on the other type. Hired him right away. He installed the furnace and humidifier and when he was done, you couldn't even tell he was there. The furnace is a lot quieter than the old one and we have peace of mind.
I would hire them again in a nano second and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new heater or air conditioner.

I had a really great experience from them last year, when they came out and fixed out AC unit. This time, unfortunately, I had a 10am appointment today, and I had to call into them and talk to the woman to find out what was taking so long. She said that they were running behind on an AC job, but I had to contact her. Then I just called her again to see, and still nothing. One big question I have is, why should I be the one calling you to learn that you're running late? I'm sure this is a great company, but there is a huge lack of communication to let your other clients know that you will be running late. And for someone who has to take work off, and make appointment for the day, this does not make me happy. I might have to look elsewhere.

Tom came out on short notice last year during the hottest week of the year and got our AC up and running when no one would consider fixing it. He is very nice and knowledgeable and doesn’t waste your time, a real no nonsense kind of guy.

After receiving inflated estimates for repair and carbon monoxide scare tactics leading to a $11k estimate for replacement from other, larger company. I called Hinding to get an estimate for new furnace . Pat came out and diagnosed my thermostat as the problem, and then bypassed it to get my furnace working temporarily until I can get a new thermostat. He checked for CO levels inside and out as well as the the inducer motor the larger company said was the problem. He quoted my $500 to replace the motor, they quoted me $1200. He saved me a ton of money and and didn't even try to sell my a thermostat! I have heat on a cold day and they have me as a loyal customer when is time to replace furnace. Highly recommended.

Being new to the neighborhood, I took advantage of a Hinding seasonal special on a furnace clean and tune a few weeks ago. I scheduled a second appointment last week because some new noise had developed in the furnace since then.

Your technician identified the problem quickly as one to "keep an eye on" but not critical to replace immediately. He was very courteous, knowledgeable and didn't charge for the service call since you had just paid us a recent visit.

Best heating and cooling firm in the Twin Cities, BY FAR!! Came out on a Sunday morning to repair my air conditioner and was extremely reasonable and highly competent. Before that did a job for one-fourth that quoted by another firm. If you're not using these guys, you're wasting money.

He came a day earlier than he thought he would be able to, which was great since our Furnace fan wasn’t working. He was very professional, knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. I would hire them again!

Very responsive: made time to help me with a boiler that woundnt light when no one else had availability for days.
Excellent communication: scheduling person was awesome and followed up with more exact times: not your typical ”betweem 10am and 5pm” arrival window. The technician showed up exactly on time too.

Called for furnace repair yesterday (Sunday) and my call was promptly returned early this morning and a technician was out to my house soon after. The problem was diagnosed quickly, the technician had the necessary parts and within a half hour my furnace was blowing warm air again. The technician didn't waste any time getting the job done, which was probably why the bill was much lower than I anticipated it would be. I would definitely trust Hinding again for any future heating/AC issues.

100% I would recommend Hinding. really, I don't think there are any one in the business as honest and straight forward as they are. They are not out to make you spend more money than you absolutely need. Honest and sincere service. I called about our AC not being as cold, and over the phone they provided a solution. Most of other businesses would have sent someone over and charged me for it. Please use this business. Quality, honesty and cost by far the best in the twin cities area
