I called to schedule service for two HVAC units that weren’t working properly—a four‑ton unit and a smaller one. The young lady who answered the phone was very polite and helpful. She suggested I check the filter, explaining that a dirty filter could prevent the system from coming on. After removing the filter on the smaller unit, the heat pump did start working, but the AC still wasn’t functioning. She also told me the diagnostic fee would be around $85.
When the technician arrived, he inspected both units. He found that the breaker powering the four‑ton unit was bad, so he wasn’t able to perform a full diagnostic on it. The breaker for the smaller unit was only putting out half its wattage—enough for the heat to work, but not the AC. He mentioned he wasn’t too concerned about the AC since it was cold outside and recommended replacing the breaker and doing a proper diagnostic before summer.
However, when he finished, the price he gave me was double what I had been quoted over the phone. When I asked why, he said it was because he had looked at two units instead of one. I paid, but I called back to verify because that wasn’t what I had been told. A different call center representative apologized and confirmed that two units meant two diagnostic charges.
I then asked the technician to clarify the diagnostic results so I could understand the next steps. He told me the four‑ton unit might need to be replaced. I asked how he could know that without completing a proper diagnostic, and he said it was because he saw rust. Since the breaker issue prevented him from fully assessing the unit, that didn’t make much sense to me. I asked for a quote in case a real diagnostic later showed the unit needed replacing. He quoted me $16,000 for a new four‑ton unit “if purchased via dent.” 👀

We recently moved to the area, and we did not have any knowledge of local companies, so I relied on reviews to guide our decision for a plumber. Sam from Dent AC, Heating and Plumbing came out to take a look at a leaky outside faucet which turned out to be an easy fix. He then went on to do a complete plumbing inspection on our new house, giving some advice and estimates on future repairs. He was very professional and friendly, and he took his time looking over everything while he was at our house. We really appreciated his expertise and also signed up for Dent’s membership program so that we can get annual maintenance checks on our systems.

I have called and asked to speak with a manager or owner this was Monday. It is now Thursday and still no call back as of yet. I called twice leaving a message both times. It is hard to address issues when the company won't call you back.

We used this company on a plumbing issue for one of our rental properties. The guy came out and couldn't reach/fix the problem from the roof and told us we needed to have a cleanout installed. This cost $2700 and wasn't needed. This house is on a conventual foundation and he should have looked under the house. There are 2 cleanouts within easy reach.
We approved the work to be done trusting him.
He installed the cleanout in the front of the house right where the rain gutter water will hit it. The hole that he dug wasn't filled in by the company, so he didn't finish the job.

He later sent us a cost estimate wanting us to replace the concrete sewer line of 25' and all of the cast iron pipe under the house at the cost of $13,000.00.

After we saw the concrete pipe he cut out it was clean and with out an issue. We decided to get a second set of eyes on the situation, and they found that the concrete sewer pipe is fine and doesn't need to be replaced.
While they were under the house they found that one of the pipes between the kitchen and laundry room was supper clogged. I'm not sure why Dent worker didn't find this massive clog considering he used a video camera. Which he couldn't or wouldn't share with us.

Wonderful experience with Chance. He arrived on time, was efficient with his review of three systems, and provided me with information in a helpful manner that was easy to understand. Highly recommend.

Garrett was great to give us our first time home membership inspection . He was very nice and knowledgeable as we addressed our opportunities. He gave us our options in writing , including pictures and explained in detail any issues and the financial options for services to be rendered. Garrett was very appreciative of his company and complimented his experience and training with them. The Technician arrived on time and was very nice to deal with, and he was very knowledgeable about his job, I enjoyed our interaction and he did a very very neat, clean, good installation that looks like it will hold up over time.

I was extremely pleased with the excellent service Orby provided! He was very knowledgeable & quickly discovered the issue. He advised the part was in stock & I would be advised when to expect his return. He offered the maintenance plan & I agreed to that.

My heater stopped working later in the day, so I called Dent to have it looked at. I have a go to Hvac company, but knew they would not be able to get out to me at that time a day. The guy that came out was nice, but told me that I needed a new part for my heater which would run $500, and that he didn't know if he could get or not. He also said once we replaced it, that it was likely that another part would need to be replaced as well. He quoted me $1,500 for the repair and it would be dependent on if he could even get the parts. He then tried to convince me to just go a head and get a whole new Unit. I told him to just check on the part and let me know in the morning. He did call me back the next day, but said it would be at least 2 weeks before he could get the part (yet again a ploy to get me to buy new equipment). I had my go to guy come out the next day. He replaced the part the guy from Dent quoted me $500 on (which he had in his truck), cleaned the other part Dent said may need to be replaced, and had my system up and running for $119 out the door in 45 minutes. I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau. If I didn't have some knowledge of HVAC and had a company I trusted confirm my suspicions , Dent would have robbed me blind.

Aaron Kerley with Dent AC, Heating, & Plumbing installed a tankless hot water heater for me two weeks ago. I am loving this new hot water heater! The water is hot instantly and I don’t have gallons of hot water in my attic anymore! Aaron came to my house at the time promised and worked all day installing the new water heater. Before he did any work, he explained everything I needed to know in an easy to understand way. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional. And he is polite and friendly. He cleaned everything up after he finished. I highly recommend Dent Plumbing and I especially recommend Aaron Kerley!

James notified us concerning arrival time and arrived within scheduled time. He was friendly and professional. He did a thorough inspection and communicated well. The report he gave was detailed and understandable. He did a good job explaining our options on replacing our unit.

Garrett did an amazing job! In and out in a few hours. We used a “handyman” for our plumbing needs before actually calling in Dent, and let me tell you how worth it that decision was.
