Home Services reviews in Fenton, Missouri

I contacted TruGreen care a few days back to get an idea of the lawn services they offer. Decided not to move forward. They have been calling me every hour and leaving me messages. I have ended up blocking most calls. They still keep calling. It has been a nightmare.

Paid roughly $450 for irrigation, weed control, and seeding. As far as I can tell, the irrigation was either not done or in sections I cant see (I have several bare spots) Very little to no seed planted and these pictures were taken after the 4th visit. They told me my lawn would look worse initially from weed removal, but I still have roughly 2/3 of the weeds in my lawn still. Would have definitely went with someone else for more money if I knew this was what I was getting.

Damien J. Was great he did an incredible job. I asked him to wait while I got the grass cut. He went and did some other customers and came back. I love him to death. He’s a great guy and he did a great job.

I’m very disappointed in TruGreen’s service. I had brand new sod installed just one year ago, and their treatments and neglect have now killed it. The technician who visited my property went to her manager twice, asking him to call me and come out — yet he never did. I also called personally and was promised someone would come inspect my lawn. Unfortunately, no one ever showed up and I never received a follow-up call. This is not the level of professionalism or care I expected.

The lawn applications did not cover my whole yard. Could not get any help. I canceled my service and 8 people have called me in three days even though I told the first person to take me off the call list. Shows how they just want the Money. Go Local

10/10 do not recommend TruGreen. It’s been a nightmare since day 1! I prepaid my full season up front which was over $600 and some change, and I expressed my concerns to the representative on the phone. He assured me that my issues would be taken care of, the weeds, the hill and the bare spots. I had some other questionable concerns and requested someone come out and do a thorough consultation with me, and they stated they only grab my property from Google Earth to measure the square footage of my property, but they would do a soil test for me to make sure they do the correct treatments. The first visit I watched the guy partially and he did not treat my part of the property line by my driveway, so I let TruGreen know. The other treatments I felt confident that they were treating my full yard from February to current, the entire square footage that I prepaid for. Fast forward today after 5 treatments the service man asked me about the hill, and I stated it was cut a week ago and I didn’t like how tall that grass gets. He informed me that it isn’t grass, it’s weeds and asked if it gets treated. I told him that I assumed it was being treated everytime as I was charged for that square footage in my plan. He made some calls, and his supervisor said they don’t treat any rocks, and that 50% of my front yard that I’ve paid for has not been treated during the past 6 months. I am so beyond frustrated, and every time I bring up my concerns they only offer a partial refund but no actual solution to fix my yard. I understand it can take at least a year to see results but now I’m back to square one with my hill! I could have had half of my results by now, and it’s affecting my curb appeal as I plan to sell my house next year! If there were any issues in the last 6 months then why didn’t a service man speak up? Why am I paying for square footage, which is half of my front yard when it’s not being treated?! And why hasn’t anyone come out to go over a thorough and realistic consultation? There’s an office in Fenton, one town over. At this point I want a full refund so I can take it to a local small business.

This company is unprofessional and shady, just like their name implies.
-
This is a family-owned business and they literally treat everyone like they are family too.
-
Employee didn’t realize he was on camera when he was upset he couldn’t get through my gate. Then cussed me for it.
-
Likes to leave their trucks parked in employee parking spots of other businesses for long periods without permission from the business.
-
Came and trimmed trees over power lines after a storm in Harrisonville Missouri and did a phenomenal job cleaning up the lines and their trimmings from my yard afterwards.
-
Totally butchered my trees. Cut way more than needed. They don’t care.
-
These guys are awesome! They came out to cut back the trees for UE and did a great job! Very professional, courteous and made sure we we're happy too!
-
If they pull up in your neighborhood keep an eye on them. They will come on your property with no explanation or the courtesy of knocking on your door and cut down bushes or anything they "Deem necessary".

Shade Tree crew trimming trees in 2500 block of Lynnwood Drive are phenomenal. I had expressed concern for a 100 year old weather vane that I have displayed in a flower garden. One of the men stood guard over it during the trimming. KUDOS TO EXEMPLARY EMPLOYEES!

Shade Tree is a great company that takes care of their employees & customers. They are probably one of the best tree Services around. They work in 10 degree weather. They are the first on scene on storm damage jobs; they get their before FEMA does & usually have to wait on FEMA.

This company came to my neighborhood to trim trees. They trimmed branches and they fell into my flowerbed that I have been working months and months on. The workers then left the branches smothering my plants while they waited in their trucks. I came out and removed the branches from my flowerbed without the concern or help of the workers. I then called the company to complain because something I spent months on was ruined. There were broken plants and vines ripped from the tree they were growing on. They sent a man out who then told me it's just that time of year. Plants die. We are not going to replace anything or do anything for you. I've literally been sobbing since he left. This company doesn't care about what they leave behind when they're done. The bulbs that were developing are crushed. Their sprouts ripped from the ground by debris. My plants are in SHOCK from having HALF A TREE dropped on them carelessly. I will be lucky if they survive and come back next year. My Variegated plants look absolutely pitiful. My heart is absolutely broken and all this company had to say to me was that plants die.
I'll definitely be letting the plant community know that their gardens, plants, and effort don't matter. -
Shade Tree Service employees were polite and knowledgeable about their job. They did work for the power company in our neighborhood. Roger Finch and his crew were very professional with their explanations and work.
