I have been using Monster Tree Service for 5+ years now at my rental properties. In that time they've removed several trees for me, all of which were large, challenging, and in precarious locations. Each and every time, without fail, they've done a fantastic job! My latest job that they completed involved removing 3 large dead trees, 14 VERY large Mulberry trees, and dead wooding 4 other large trees. The guys descended on the property with tons of equipment and manpower, approximately 13-15 guys I believe. (Couldn't really keep track of all of them!) They showed up on the day they were scheduled and worked a VERY long day, but completed the entire job that day, and did a spectacular job to boot! From Meredith in the office, who is a top-notch communicator and excellent with customer service, to ALL of the guys in Monster's employ, I can't give them high enough praise. When you're dealing with something as serious as the removal of large, sometimes dead trees, hanging over and around expensive assets, you want the job done properly, and safely, the first time. That's why I don't even get bids for tree removal anymore, I just call Monster Tree Service. You should too!

Their service and communication was great throughout the whole process. The whole team was very responsive, thorough and did exactly what was outlined in their proposal.

I had a 80 y/o old pin oak die. I reached out to 8 companies. Monster and one other responded. Monster and the other had a similar bid. Went with Monster because they are a known brand. Came. Removed. Ground the stump. Left divots in the yard. Called and asked for soil and straw. Came out the next day & did as I asked. Paid the bill.
    Highly recommend.

I’ve used Monster for basic and emergency needs. They are fast and efficient. Their pricing was very attractive. Great value and easy to work with.

Monster Tree Service was fantastic. At a time when so many tree jobs are going on with the storms Cory still came right out and evaluated. I was worried about more damage the way it landed.
He sent be a bid right away and scheduled his crew to come the very next morning. They were polite/fast/careful of the structure where tree fell. Done in 45 minutes.

The neighbor across the street had two trees removed by order of the city Creve Coeur. The team and the equipment that came to remove those two trees were organized, efficient, careful, experienced, and very friendly! It is most definitely obvious, that they knew what they were doing, and did it in the most expeditious manner! I was so impressed that I took a number of photos, of which I only will include two or three.

Monster was super easy to work with and VERY responsive. I had a tree down and some limbs down. I had a bid within hours and the work was done the next day. Simply amazing service.

The guys at Monster Tree Service were great. They came out to give me a quote quickly and were able to educate me on everything that was going to be done to the tree, as well as gave me advise on other trees on my property. ( not a sales pitch as they told me I didn't need to do anything to them but to do xyz to help ensure they stay healthy)

On the day that they came to do the work the guys were so impressive on how quickly and safety they trimmed our huge maple in-between houses. Once they were done they thoroughly cleaned up all debris from both properties and made it look better than when they got there.

I highly recommend these guys to do any tree work and will have Monster continue to do tree work on my property.

I just wanted to send a warning about a bad experience we had with Monster Tree Service. On 9/9/21, we had them come out to remove two trees that fell during a storm and cut down another small tree. When they cut down the tree, it landed on our kid's playset and crushed it. The workers would not give me the phone number of their manager so I had to call the office. They said someone would call me back that day which did not happen. I had to send an email with pics of the damage before anyone called me back. See attached pics of damage.

The GM came out the next day and accepted all fault and told us they'd make things right. We reached an agreement that we would buy a new playset in exchange for them waiving the cost of the tree service, hauling away the old playset, constructing the new playset and fixing our fence (which they damaged and didn't tell us about). Over the course of the next month, there were several no-shows where he told us someone would be out to work on the playset but no one ever came. He sent a couple guys out two or three times but they never finished the playset and never worked on the fence.

We sent an email to the office and complained about this lack of service on 10/6/21, almost one month after the event. They sent out the foreman to talk with us. Once again, he accepted all fault and told us he'd make things right. We were told they'd send a crew to finish up the job on 10/11/21. No one ever showed. We contacted him and were told that since the GM committed to fixing the damage, he'd have to be the once to do that. We tried to contact the GM several times and he will not respond to our texts, calls or emails. We filed a BBB claim on 10/15/21 and once again, they did not respond.

I'm sharing this to hopefully prevent anyone else from having a similar experience. There are many tree companies out there to choose from. Beware of using Monster Tree Service. They did more damage than good!

Consider staying out of our county if you plan to handle roads like Savoy Drive and Guyenne Drive in Lake Saint Louis at 40mph. The speed limit in these parts is 25mph. We have kids and pets and elderly FAR more important than your business could ever be. Slow down.

If I could give Monster 10 stars I would. We had a limb the size of a school bus fall on our home at 6:30 am, the crew was there by 8:00 am and gone by 1:00 pm and the yard was spotless. Crew was amazing. Taught me about tree care, tree structure, etc.. I literally cannot thank this team enough. You turned a horrible situation around so quickly. Thank you!

Cut the tree to nearly ground level fast & efficiently-3 hours. Removed all limbs & branches.
Came back later & ground the stump. Removed excess chips & leveled the ground.
    The price was very good.

Removed 4 large trees in the midst of other trees and shrubs. Crew was very careful to avoid the other plantings, cleaned up the area very well, and all for a reasonable price. Excellent job and will definitely consider using again in the future.

Monster Tree Service was spectacular. 80 ft oak that was 3 feet from the house and pool removed in 5 hours. they did such a good job cleaning up its almost like they were never there and the tree just disappeared. I worked with Shelly through the super easy process and a week later tree was gone. Already recommended Monster to several people. They beat others by over $2000. Couldn't be happier. Thanks Shelly and the guys

Amazing professional and quick service start to finish! Whole process was so easy and pricing was great! Reached out on a Monday & 2 huge Trees were down by Friday! Definite recommend and will be using them for our other trees!

We awoke one random sunny Saturday to find that our ancient elm tree had dropped a huge limb overnight that was blocking a sidewalk and encroaching on a street. I called Monster and Cory came out that morning to take a look and let us know if it was safe to leave until Monday (it was) and graciously cleared some smaller branches so the sidewalk was passable.

The Monster crew (Matt, Matt, and another person whose name I did not catch-- probably NOT Matt) came out the following Monday and addressed not only the large limb, but also some "volunteer" trees AND were able to remove a plant that had sprouted in our extremely tall chimney (a annoying but needed chore we'd had no luck resolving, despite calls to roofers, chimney sweeps, tuckpointers, and another tree company.)

Price was extremely reasonable (and GREAT for what was a bit of a rush job that involved a bucket truck) and their team was terrific-- gave professional, helpful advice on how to maximize the chance that the tree would recover.

We really enjoyed our experience working with Monster Tree Service. They were very knowledgeable from the very beginning. When we needed customer service the delivered and took care of any needs we saw.

I had Monster Tree come out to remove a branch that was hanging over my house, remove deadwood from that tree as well, and also remove a dead tree. Both trees were located in my back yard. Communication was great. They showed up as scheduled and were professional and careful of my property. Their cleanup was detailed and thorough. I was very pleased with their service.

I stumbled across the recommendation to try Monster St. Louis through a local reddit along with about six other companies. I immediately contacted Monster and six other people to quote removing a dead elm tree from our back yard. The elm tree was in a location where it stood over my neighbor's house, my other neighbor's shed, and my garage. To make things more complicated, there was a fixed wooden privacy fence preventing entry to the back yard.

Monster was the third company I contacted and the first to reply for a quote. Scheduling was quick and easy, very polite and professional, and done via text message. The person who came out to survey the tree was both prompt and professional, informed me of their fast turnaround time on jobs (to be fair, it was winter), and reassured me of my concerns with the location of the tree. They would have to remove the fence, but would have no issue removing the tree otherwise without risking damage to anyone's property.

Of the six other companies contacted, only four of them gave quotes on the project (one never responded, one blew me off). Of those four quotes, three were higher than Monster; the other company unknowingly matched the quote, but communicating with said company was rocky at best. Accordingly, Monster got my business.

I was told the turnaround time for this job would be three to four weeks, putting completion at the end of January. I was then contacted in the beginning of January asking if they could come out the next day to assume the task. Of course, I agreed, and they were at my house before I could even stumble out the door on my way to work that morning. I had a wyze cam set up facing the tree just in case something happened, and of course I was glued to that camera in fascination as they showed me exactly how they planned to take a medium-sized sick/dead elm tree with a massive split down the middle all the way down without hitting anything but the ground. They did have to take down the fence, and somehow, despite my fence being the most rickety thing in the world, they managed to remove it and put it back up without causing any issue whatsoever (which is important, because we have a husky who loves unannounced adventures).

They took care to lay down 4x8's to drive their equipment across the yard upon; while some tracks do exist, I fully expected them and expect they will fill in with time. Two of their workers worked tirelessly to keep debris to a minimum; I'm pretty sure they left the yard with less yard debris than it had when they started. Everything was returned to it's proper location and the tree was down/fence back up in a total of about three hours. The large chunks of the dead tree did remain on my curb through the weekend but were gone by 5p Monday (tree removed Friday).

Unfortunately, the previous owners of our house did a great job at killing off just about every tree in our yard and this was the second to last to go; I won't have a ton more work for them to do, and hopefully that final tree sticks around longer than we stay in the house. That said, I would definitely recommend Monster tree service. All around, the entire situation was way faster and more well-handled than we ever anticipated.

Although there a few breakdowns in communication to begin with, I am more than happy to walk back my previous review. I am very grateful for the tremendous amount of effort Meredith put in to help me. The staff that came out was still awesome and I thank you all for the work you did. With better communication and the great work they did, I am happy to recommend them as a service I would use again.

Monster tree service delivered the service I needed to get the huge oak tree removed that was so close to the property. Pricing was very reasonable. Can’t be happier with the result!
