We had a 100 foot cottonwood land in our backyard. It was, in fact, a monster. Fortunately, it missed our house and garage. Unfortunately, it took out everything else (3 cars, fencing, electric service, patio, etc). The amount of downed tree carnage was overwhelming. I called several companies who came to house to give me estimates. I easily felt most comfortable with the guy(s) from Monster. I say “guy(s)” because (1) the main guy who did the bid is actually an arborist and knew what he was doing and talking about, and (2) the crew he later brought were normal, regular guys who my wife and I felt comfortable having at our house (important for my wife). They were careful with our cars and property and the cleanup was excellent (and I’m picky about that). Price was right (I’m also picky about that). During the process, I learned that some of the companies have to rent equipment to do the job. I learned that Monster owns their equipment. That might not be the most important fact but that made me feel better about them too. I’ve had them back to do smaller jobs and my neighbors now use them as well. Great company. Great enough to cause me to write a review, which I almost never do.

Monster Tree Service is amazing! We obtained multiple bids from several reputable tree services in St. Louis for an extremely difficult project. Not only was Monster the most reasonable bid, they were the only company to provide a schedule for completion (and they delivered on all fronts). The staff was extremely courteous and professional and they even went the extra mile to do some additional trimming and pruning work outside the bid (without charge). They were extremely thorough and did an amazing job. I highly recommend them.

We recently moved into our new house and there was a HUGE sweet gum tree in the front. The neighbors had made comments like "oh man, that tree is going to be a pain in the fall," so I really wanted to get rid of it before it got bad. I was hesitant because of how much of the tree hung over my roof, driveway and gate leading to the backyard. I had gotten a few bids on the removal that were wildly expensive but the rep for Monster Tree came out and offered a reasonable bid. Since they seemed like a bit of a newer company I was a bit nervous how it was going to pan out but WOW was the team great and professional.
First off, Meredith in their office was great with communication and would text me with updates on and what to expect with the process. The guys showed up as a team of 8-10 and made quick work on the tree, chopping it down piece by piece, guiding it down so the pieces didn't hit anything and were as respectful in the area as you could hope and were in and out in less than 3 hours. They removed all of the debris and honestly, my yard and driveway was cleaner after they left than it was prior. A man came by a few days later to remove the stump and even he was courteous and quick.

Overall 10/10 here and would highly recommend them for any of your tree and stump removal needs!

Monster Tree service had great communication, and they were willing to work with my budget. I had an ENORMOUS dead white oak that was super dead in a tough to reach spot behind my house. If the tree hadn’t been taken down properly, it could have damaged three different homes, but they got it down quickly, cleanly, and efficiently. They let me know they were coming ahead of time, showed up on time, were careful, and followed up with me when they were done. I recommend them very highly!

I loved working with this company! Meredith was always so quick to respond. They worked with our schedule, made sure to be courteous of the gate for our dog, and were so affordable! I without a doubt will be calling them the next time we need a tree removal!

I had a huge, mostly dead, tree in my front yard by my mailbox and power lines. It had to come down before it damaged someone's property or worse, yet... killed someone.

I got several bids from different companies and accepted a very reasonable bid from Monster Tree Service.

I've used, maybe, half a dozen tree services over the years and I've never been more impressed than with Monster Tree Service.

From arrival to departure the entire process was incredible.
Their crew is a well oiled machine, and their execution and precision with the removal of the tree was a thing of beauty.

I don't have to worry about that tree anymore and one other perk... my mailbox... I never expected it to survive...
...but it's still standing.

Monster Tree Service did a fantastic job removing a large tree from a difficult to access area of our backyard. Several other companies said they either wouldn't do the job or would charge us so much to bring equipment to the area that it wouldn't be worth it, however, Monster gave us a fair price to do the job and didn't require heavy equipment access the area. Their arborist was knowledgeable and helpful, and their tree removal team was great. They worked very hard all day and finished by doing a great job cleaning the yard. This was the first time we've used this company and we will definitely call them first for any future tree work we need on our property.

UPDATE: We had an emergency project come up on another part of our property a few weeks after our first project with Monster. Again, we had a fantastic experience with Monster Tree Service. Cary came out immediately to see what they could do, and they were able to get the job done quickly, professionally, and with expertise. We're really impressed with this company, and would recommend to anyone of our friends without hesitation.

I wish every worker who comes to our house did such a hard job so well. They trimmed or took down nine trees and did it all neatly and without any difficulty. They cleaned up some places better than it was before they began the job.

I didn't know it was possible to take down a very old, huge oak tree without dropping it. There wasn't anywhere safe to drop it. They did it with no problem.

This company is very reasonably priced, compared to other bids from insured and reliable companies. I would definitely use them again.

After posting the above, I have used them again and, once more, they did a great job. I had a couple of huge fallen trees that made a mess. Everything is gone and cleaned up.

Somehow, they manage to have great workers who not only haul away the mess, but clean up the yard too. I would definitely use them again, and again.

Monster did a great job. A huge tree hanging over the house was no problem. They were extremely professional with exceptional equipment to handle this large job. The entire process was seamless. The crew was great. Highly recommend Monster for your big or small job.

I have now used this company on 4 separate occasions (and once was an emergency where a tree crashed into my home). They were phenomenal!!!!! They were responsive, professional, highly skilled and IMO underpriced. STL is lucky to have a company like this providing this service in our area. I don't know what i would have done without them! Kudos to Tim and his staff!!!

Monster Tree Service was recommended by my daughter who is in property management. I sent what I needed trimmed to their web site, Meredith who works in the office texted me and kept me updated throughout everything. My homeowner's insurance told me i needed to get a tree trimmed the was overhanging my roof. I had 4 bids and Monster was the only one who asked to see what exactly the insurance was looking for so they could properly bid the tree, no other tree company asked for document, I really appreciated that. Any time i had a question, Meredith responded within the hour (providing it was business hours). I live and breathe reviews before buying anything. I was impressed with this company, how you get to speak/text with a human and don't have to wait for a response. Excellent quality and reasonable, is how I would describe this company.

Monster Tree did an excellent job taking down a huge tree in my backyard. Very reasonable bid. The guys working were careful not to damage my property or my neighbors’ property, wore proper safety equipment, worked fast and cleaned up well. The communication from Meredith (front office) was always responsive, friendly and helpful. I would use Monster Tree again.

Monster provided outstanding service. Two large trees and stumps were removed all while working in severe weather conditions. Monster showed great teamwork and got the job done quickly and efficiently.
