Buying a fixer upper home is best done with good counsel. In my fixer upper quest, the best counsel I found was 3:23 Home inspection. Not only did the inspector do the military crawl in what some sadist identified as a crawl space, he found the cracked laminate flooring hidden underneath an area rug. After i presented the sellers with his report, I was able to negotiate more than the 30% from their asking price. This isn't the lame, impersonal service you have come to expect from big corporations. This is the kind of small-is-beautiful service that exceeds expectations.
