I am so happy to have found Urban Tree Specialists. Our hicks yews that we use as a privacy fence were looking sick. Nick came out to figure out what was going on with them. I could tell right away but he was very knowledgeable about trees and plants, and when he pulled out a magnifying glass I knew he meant business! I have never had someone care about my plants as much as Nick did. Thank you! He also evaluated some of our trees and presented us with some options for them. We look forward to working with this company from now on!

Extremely pleased with Urban Tree Specialists. Nick spent a long time with me during the walkaround my yard in the estimate process and answered all my questions. The crew was very knowledgeable, professional and cleaned up all tree debris. I would highly recommend Urban Tree Specialists!

Had very high hopes for this company. Very nice when they came out to give us a quote for a few things, Trimming our large maple tree, removing a tree, removing bushes along our fence and cleaning up and taking some brush. The workers came and they left a mess. They didn’t complete their job they promised with removing bushes and taking the brush. Left MULTIPLE emails asking to get someone back out to finish the job. Nothing. No response at all. Multiple calls and no answer. Ridiculous. I wouldn’t use this company ever again. Unless you want a half a** job with brush left everywhere. Very disappointed. And over priced for the “work” they did.

Had an entire crew for a whole day. They accomplished more than what we had agreed to. The crew was very professional and worked constantly except for a lunch break. They did a thorough cleaning and left things looking better than when they arrived. Bret Cleveland, the owner, has given us bids before that were always competitive, but the end product is just a notch above the others. I would recommend them to anyone.

We used them back in January 2020 to remove an Ash and grind the stump. The initial estimate with Nick went well. The follow through was poor. I had to seek them out a handful of times to make sure they were still able to come. Once the team came to remove the tree the team lead asked if we wanted to grind the stump. I said yes and that it was in the estimate. He then corrected to say it is an “option” and the price for the option was not included in the line item. The team lead had Nick contact me about the “confusion” on the estimate. Nick managed to finagle me to pay for 1/2 of what the “option” cost of the stump grind should be. After the job was done and spring came around we found holes, 6-10” wide and 4-6” deep, in our yard from their machinery as well as a poorly ground stump with chunks remaining. We have had tree removal services before and know this is poor quality. Guess we only paid for “half” the stump grind. Will not be using again.

Heard that this group was great. Got a very fair estimate. Tried repeatedly to get work scheduled. Never got to the point of hearing back on a schedule. Hired someone else. Got the work done by another contractor, paid more but at least the work got done.
Funny thing, got a call from Urban Tree the same day the other contractor was on site. Now Urban Tree is ready to come do my trees.
Strange how things work.

We have used Brett and Urban Tree for the past seven years and just finished removing a large tree from the backyard. This is our second removal this year and I couldn't help but review the service that I received. The main difference with Urban Tree is the incredible knowledge level that the owner and crew has in working through the various tree scenarios we have had. They leave my property clean and minimize any damage to my turf. I highly recommend Urban Tree and speak from my satisfaction as well as the positive feedback of others who have taken my advise and called.

Urban Tree has treated my Green Ash 2 or 3 times (2 yr schedule) and that work has been fine. My issue is I've asked for estimates for trimming in the past and multiple times I've called asking for a return call to discuss an issue with no response. Their lack of communication is my reason for leaving their service. The service I'm moving to is slightly less in cost and based upon my calls to them I can already tell they will be much better communicators. I don't know if UTS is way too busy or just disorganized, but when customers call they deserve call backs and follow up.

I had a tree to fell in between two other trees and a deck, and four huge trees to trim. They did very professional work, and were reasonably priced. The crew was great, enjoyed watching them work. And Bret, the owner, is available if needed. Great price, great job, great people. Why not give them a call and see what they can do for you.

We had a very large oak tree removed from our back yard from them. It was just amazing to watch as it was lifted piece by piece over our house. The way they worked as a team was just great. They left everything clean and beautiful when they were done. Would definitely recommend them!

We've been using Urban Tree Specialists for years to help maintain and address problems with our trees and shrubs. Nick has a wealth of knowledge about native plants and trees and is extremely thorough whenever he does a walkthrough of our property. Whenever we get a quote for work, we always get valuable advice for the maintenance and protection of our other tree and plant life.

The planned work not only takes into account our current problems but also plans for future growth and sustainability. We've used them for several big jobs across the two houses we've lived at over the years - every time the work has been impeccable and a huge improvement to the property. We'll definitely continue to use them and recommend them to our friends and family.

The owner, Bret, came to my house within just a few days of making an appointment to give me a bid. He’s a very friendly person and definitely knows everything there is about trees, shrubs, bushes, etc. Any question I had, he was able to answer immediately in terms someone who isn’t and arborists can understand. He also looked up different options for trees and shrubs that I could plant based on my property and soil while he was here and gave me a very detailed & fair quote for the job. I also received a follow up email with the quote and have scheduled their services as I have known people who are very happy with their services in the past. They are extremely backed up right now, but I will be adding follow up after the job is complete, though I have no doubt it will be done well.

The team did a great job! Fast, thorough, and cleaned up everything. My trees looks great and it has already paid off as I’m pretty sure at least one of the storms we’ve had since then would have landed a huge branch of a tree on my roof.

I would recommend this company to anyone that needs their services!

I believe them to be competent in the field, however, not in their office. After paying my invoice, they continue to bill me, even after showing them my canceled check, made out to them,, with their endorsement on the back.
That should have ended it but no. They claim they have no record of my deposit., but my bank clearly indicates the debit paid to Urban Tree.
To this day, they still harass me. If you do business with this company, keep your records very well documented.

Contacted over two weeks ago for an estimate to remove two small dead tree's and asked for an evaluation of the rest of our tree's to determine if we needed trimming or if there were any issues with them. Estimate was fair and I accepted the quote for several of the tree's. I followed up several times...the scheduler told me "Nick is behind and will get back to you soon". Finally, after wasting two weeks, I get an email from Nick that our job is too small, it would be 8-10 weeks before they could do it, and I should look for another company. Wow.

It would have been completely fine if I were told this two weeks ago. Communication is very poor.

Urban Tree Specialists was one of the companies our landscaper referred us to. We also got a bid from another recommended company, but for even more extensive work Urban Tree Specialists was considerably lower in price. Listening to Nicholas Goergen and walking around the yard with him is an education in trees! Nick saw things that the other company didn't even notice. We had to reschedule the date due to a conflict, but that was handled quickly. They pulled up early in the morning on the new date with all their equipment—wood chipper, stump grinder, bobcat—and finished everything before the rain began. That included taking down 7 large trees (see attached photos of trees circled in red) and grinding their stumps, grinding about a dozen other large and small stumps or root clumps in the yard, pruning/trimming 2 trees, and cutting some limbs off a couple other trees. I cannot more highly recommend them, and have already told our son in Liberty to give them a call if they need any tree work done!

Exceeded my expectations in all areas. Quick, clean, kind and affordable. Removed a large dead tree in our front yard. They were considerate of our property and left it cleaner than when they arrived!
