Allen Outdoor Solutions and their representative Sergio just finished replacing a broken rotor head on my residence in Florissant, Missouri. Sergio did an outstanding job locating and replacing the broken head. Sergio was extremely courteous and professional and took the time to look at the other heads as well to make sure no service was needed. I would highly recommend Sergio for any service job.

I've been a customer of Allen Outdoor for quite some time, but the last few years have been rough.We have an irrigation system and use them to turn it on and turn it off every year. Appointments are scheduled so far out but since everyone was having staffing issues, I stuck it out and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Last year (2022), I received a notice that my backflow inspection had not been submitted so I had to follow up with them and they turned it in. I just received a notice from the county today (fall 2023) that, again, my backflow inspection was not submitted. I just got off the phone with Allen Outdoor and the girl said she needed to check the county website because often times it's submitted but it's just not updated to show this. Nope. My inspection wasn't even submitted and now the county is threatening to turn off my water even though I hired and PAID this company to do this. And yes...I switched companies for my system shutoff this fall but am still dealing with this. You need to seriously think twice about hiring this company.

Our subdivision is a client of Allen Outdoor Solutions. I would like to commend Chrissy Killian, Administrative Assistant/Scheduling Specialist, for Allen Outdoor Solutions. Last fall, we were in need of two replacement lights for the entrance to the subdivision, and we learned they had become obsolete. Chrissy was extremely helpful in our finding a solution to our problem, and we were very thankful for her assistance and her expertise. Her customer service skills are excellent! As a trustee to the subdivision, I have always been very pleased with the care and service we receive from Allen Outdoor Solutions. And for that, they continue to receive our client loyalty.

Had one of the nicest, most personable technicians perform a startup service for me this year! Nathan couldn't have been better with my dogs & even my kid who wanted to say hello while he was trying to do his work. He verified all my zones were working properly and even suggested modifications to the watering schedule I asked for! Appreciated the insight and wish Nathan nothing but the best in the future!

I hired Steve Allen and his firm to install a sprinkler system in my yard. Because its is a L shape yard it was a challenge to design and implement. Once we had the start date on the books everything went very smooth. The lead on my project, Jon K. kept me informed the entire 2 days and communicated very well with me. I was very surprised to see a large team of men converge on my yard and moved quickly and when done each day, I could not tell anybody was digging up my yard, laying pipe and installing a very cool watering system.

At the end of the project, Jon sat with me and explained the full system, allowed me to walk the entire project and make a few adjustments to suit my wants and needs and when they left I felt I got a good value and am looking forward them coming back in April to turn on the system and watch my gardens and lawn flourish.

Calling Allen Outdoor Solutions, to install and maintain your irrigation system, is the best choice you'll ever make! Their service is outstanding! Everyone from the office staff to the guys who come out to install and maintain my irrigation service, are always very professional and courteous. I interviewed 3-4 irrigation system companies, and while Allen Outdoor Solutions was not the lowest bid I received, they are worth every penny I've spent. I would highly recommend Allen Outdoor Solutions every time. They are the best in the business!

LANDSCAPING: We are so impressed with Allen Outdoor! We had the pleasure to have Craig come to our home and design our landscape. He was very interested to hear the desires I had for our home. And even though I thought some of it would not be possible with all the shade our land has, he provided plants that would work for our landscape. It all came out so beautifully!

Special thanks to Miguel and Antonio! They executed the plan so very well and neat! They were professional and even took out the time to educate us on how to care for our new plants! Great job Allen Outdoor!

Allen Outdoor has installed and removed our Christmas lights for a few years now. They do a great job! Their team is efficient, professional and friendly. Our lights always look perfect! At the close of the holiday my lights are neatly packed into a single tote that I store in basement ready for the next year. So easy! Much better than trying to handle it yourself.

Very professional and accommodating. We were able to have a variety of outdoor projects done (fences and retaining wall) at reasonable prices and they gave realistic timeframes. They added a few little extra details here and there that really made us feel great about our choice. They were very informative and accommodating with obstacles and they were nice to our dogs!

I was very happy with how my yard turned out. Allen Outdoor did an amazing job. Steve the owner came out twice to meet with me and go over plans for the yard. He was very helpful and patient and listened to what I wanted. The workers were hard working, kind and very respectful. I would highly recommend this company.

Steve, the owner, gave me a bid on irrigation and we discussed additional work i required prior to installation. He sent Miguel,Tony and Kyle and they did an outstanding job! They should be bonused if they are not! If i didnt know better i would think it was their business they cared so much about our satisfaction! They were pleasant, listened to exactly what I wanted and did it perfectly without me repeating instruction! They also worked very hard. Did a great job cleaning up too!! I highly recommend them!!!

Had 2 appointments completely blown off and no one calls to follow up. They give you a window between 12-5 so I have to take off work to accommodate. Just made me mad and I highly recommend using someone else.

Initially I had reached out to setup a bi-weekly cut as my grass hadn't gotten out of control. I went back and forth with Dustin via email for the duration and found a great service was possible based on the conversation and promises. I was told I could schedule ad-hoc cuts by notifying them ahead of time for a work order. I asked for the first to be submitted right away. A week went by and I heard nothing nor did I get a cut. I had to reach back out to Dustin to find out he had forgotten to submit. That was fine, people get behind. I was told they would be out. Again, no one showed up and I had to reach out again. The grass was finally cut and I was supposed to be on track for my standard cut. A week went by and no one showed up. I had to reach out to let Dustin know the cut didn't happen (3 weeks passed) and only then was someone sent. I was told I should now be on track again. Again, 2 weeks pass with no cut. I reach out again and inform them it's coming up on 3 weeks without a cut. I was told someone would be out that same week and then informed due to rain mid week no one could come and the earliest would be the next week, almost 4 weeks later. I went ahead and cancelled service at this point. If the location is not able to be serviced because it simply doesn't fit the route please inform potential customers. I made the drive to your office to provide the hand signed CC authorization you said was necessary during the work week to ensure you had everything you needed. Open and honest communication are key.

Be sure to make sure they remove your credit card for auto charging. I was charged after cancelling service for a work order that was never completed.

We have used Allen Outdoor Solutions for our irrigation system since moving into our house last summer. I have been so pleased with the company, and with the techs that they have sent to explain things to me and work on our system! I called the office this afternoon in a panic because the backflow was leaking in the front of the house, and Joe came out right away and took care of the problem, explained what had happened, and came up with a plan to take care of it in the future. I have had had great experiences so far with the responsiveness and thoroughness of this company. And everyone has been super nice! That's always an added bonus!

We have used Allen Outdoor Solutions multiple times and have always been more than happy with every project. They removed the old, awful sod in our backyard, fixed an issue of standing water, and installed the most beautiful new sod. The French drain they installed completely eliminated the standing water and we and our dogs have loved using our yard ever since. That good experience led us to having Allen Outdoor install an irrigation system, then a new driveway, and then a beautiful new patio. With every one of these projects, we were more than happy with the price, the high quality of materials, the care and professionalism of the crews and office personnel, and how Steve Allen treated us. We never felt any pressure from him, he made suggestions, had a wonderful sense of design balance and proportion, listened to our input, stopped frequently to check out the projects as they were in progress, and genuinely made us feel our projects were as important to him as much larger ones would have been. Steve also quickly had a minor issue corrected the only time we had one. For us, Allen Outdoor Solutions has become a go-to business because we know we can count on the quality and integrity of the products and service they deliver.

I have used Allen Outdoors a couple times in the last two years. Each job was done in a timely fashion and at a fair price. I highly recommend them.

Initially had an unpleasant experience, but several people from Allen got involved, including the owner, and made things right! I wanted to leave a good review for James (tech) who did an excellent job and for the company, they do good work!

Editing review: While we previously had no issues with annual irrigation services, we used Allen to fix a landscape light in December 2024. The tech was friendly and personable which we appreciate, but was unable to complete the job on the first visit. The tech was eventually able to complete the task at a later date. Steve (the owner) reached out to discuss and resolve the issue. We appreciate Steve investigating the issue and putting customers first.

Very responsive! Had the system installed in a week from the first contact. They know their business…without asking they put in sprayers yo water the planter boxes! Definitely recommend Allen.
