It was no fun having to have our furnace replaced...but Andrew and John at JLM eased the pain some. Both of them provided excellent customer service and had smiles on there faces everytime I saw them! They arrived exactly when they said they would and kept me informed of their progress. I couldn't be more impressed with their service!

JLM Heating and Air Conditioning is exactly the kind of locally owned business you want to support. The first company I called tried using sketchy pricing tactics and was clearly driven more by private equity than by customer service... as it turns out quite a few STL based HVAC companies have been acquired by PE. JLM was the complete opposite — straightforward, honest, and professional from the start. Scheduling was easy, they arrived on time, and the technician explained everything clearly. The work was excellent, fairly priced, and they left everything spotless. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Highly recommend!

Grant is the best! He came over after hours and worked efficiently and fixed the problem on one of the coldest days of the year! Absolute life saver! Very reasonable price and very friendly and professional.

Update (21 October 2025): Received our first "full cycle" electric bill since replacing our HVAC. Added picture from the email Ameren sent us. Total electric bill DECREASE has been over $300/month since replacing the HVAC.

Our HVAC was old enough to buy its own booze and make bad decisions. We decided it was time for it to move out and move on with its life. How would it ever meet a nice girl and settle down if it stayed living with us?

Anyways, Jozo and his team were referred to us by a friend, and I’m so glad they were. He came out, did some tests and evaluated our old system. Then sat down with us, listened to our complaints (electric bill is super high, cold/hot spots in the house, trouble keeping house cool on very hot days), and gave us his recommendation. He gave us the Goldilocks version of estimates (Good, Better, Best) where every option was a good one. He never pressured us to pick one over another, he just explained the benefits of each and let us decide. Financing was available, and was a quick, easy process we completed over the phone.

The work we needed done took two days. We had the new AC online the first day, and noticed immediate improvements in temperature and air flow. Our first electric bill dropped by over $100 and that was just for a partial month with the new unit. We’re looking forward to our next bill (never thought I’d say that!) to see what a full month with the unit looks like.

The second day of work involved adding additional air return vents to further improve air flow (especially for max capacity days when it’s super hot or super cold), and installing the furnace and humidifier. It was expectedly loud, and I was glad we sent our dogs to a doggie daycare for the day. They cleaned up everything both days so that I’d barely have known they were here!

All in all, it was a great experience, and we will be returning to Jozo and his team if we ever need any further work with our heating and cooling.

Jozo from JLM was great! Our heat exchanger cracked so we needed a new furnace and air conditioner. I got a few bids from other companies but JLM was easily able to beat them. Jozo was able to provide a few options with pricing while he was onsite and schedule our install a week later. He spent the extra time to ensure the system was properly sized for our house and ensured our flue could accomodate everything.

The install process was very easy. They showed up on time, pulled a permit, cleaned up after themselves, and had everything installed in one day. I also liked that the person quoting and designing the system also did the install so there was no confusion with what was sold. I’ve had a few hvac systems installed in the past and was surprised they did not try to cut corners like our previous installer. I would definitely recommend JLM to anyone looking for a new furnace, air conditioner, or yearly maintenance.

Heck of a weekend for your stuff not to work— woke up to 38 degrees in my house. JLM and the crew were amazing, before it was it was safe to get to me in all this snow they walked me through a way to get some heat going so I didn’t have a disaster and then once it was safe Andrew made it here to fix all the issues. Great crew and would highly recommend

They had a tech out to my house within a couple hours of me calling on a weekend. They weren't pushy about doing stuff I didn't need. I could have repaired my furnace but decided to just get a new one since it was already 20 years old. The installers did a good job on the install and the new furnace is working great!

We were in the market for a furnace and AC before the Summer season, so I received several quotes from local companies. Usually salesmen will reach out and throw around complex terminology or rush you for a special deal - not JLM. They were the 3rd company I received a quote from and I chose them immediately after Jozo came by for the quote.

Jozo was great to work with - fast at replies, explained the benefits and differences of our options, and was available to work with our busy schedule. Him and his crew were in and out in a day and we love our new high-efficiency system.

Bonus points for helping us install our water heater as well.

JLM Heating and Cooling just put in my new furnace, and honestly, I can’t believe how excited I am about it! The whole thing was easy, straightforward, and stress free. I actually had Classic Air Care come out first for an inspection, and they told me I needed a new furnace. Their quote was $1,500 higher for the exact same model I ended up getting, which made me feel like they were trying to take advantage of me. Jozo from JLM gave me a lower price, even slightly better than Rhymes. However, I didn't make my decision solely based on price. Jozo's thoroughness and attention to detail is what sets him apart. Even though I only called him requesting a bid for a new furnace, he did his own inspection, took the time to show me photos, and explained exactly what was wrong. That honesty and attention to detail made me feel completely confident about moving forward. If you need any heating work in St. Louis, I’d definitely recommend JLM!

I would recommend JLM Heating and Air Conditioning. The technician was very informative. He explained what was happening and what might be the problem (FYI it was the pressure switch). He did his do diligence at troubleshooting the issue. Another HVAC company that was out a couple of days earlier said it was the gas valve and that they don't make that part anymore. So they recommended a new furnace. Get a second opinion or in this case another company. I never leave reviews on anything but this had to be said. Thanks Grant! I contacted JLM Heating & Air Conditioning Service on a Monday, to have my boiler serviced. They came out, diagnosed the problem and ordered the part that was needed for the repair. Grant installed the new part, check the radiators & before he left, he checked the boiler to make sure it was heating properly.
Grant explained thoroughly explained the issue. Grant was very professional from beginning to end and also discussed other services that their company offers. 10/10 highly recommend JLM Heating & Air Conditioning Service, you will not be disappointed.

Spire told me my control valve was getting marginally leaky so needed it replaced. I called various HVAC companies to get a bid for getting gas control valve replaced, and it really makes a difference when the owner takes the call. I get the run-around from other HVAC companies saying they can't give me an estimate without having to first pay $89 to provide an estimate to diagnose. Spire already diagnosed!

I didn't get the run-around from JLM. Jozo took my call and was very informative, and gave me an estimate for some repair options. He was fine if I supplied my own part as long as it was understood there was no warranty on the part or service. Andy came to service and was professional, friendly, and also informative.

Highly recommend. You get an actual expert on the line to talk to you, and that already ups their customer service experience.

The service provided by Jozo was exceptional. He was on time just as the text message confirmed the appointment. Highly recommend him/ his company for your HVAC needs!!
He also took care of my mother's hvac system that another company said needed a whole new heat exchanger when they were doing routine maintenance. (and it was only 3 yrs old). We decided to get a 2nd opinion from JLM/Jozo & he was honest, told her it didn't need anything. You will have all our business from here on out!!!

JLM has quickly become my go-to for anything HVAC! After shopping around for the best price on a job earlier this year and JLM came in with the best price, I call them first every time now. We had an emergency on a Tuesday night and they had a technician at our home 8am the next morning. The workers are polite, professional, and happy to answer all of your questions. I can’t recommend them enough!
