We had the most incredible customer service experience from start to finish! Our oven wouldn’t heat on the evening before Christmas Eve of all days. I started a ticket with Samsung and by Christmas Eve morning at 8:30 AM I received a call from Allison at Hometown Hero! She was incredibly kind and was able to send Ali to our house at the start of their day. Ali arrived before 10 am on Christmas Eve and had our oven up and working before 10:30. He was so thorough and answered all of the questions we had! He even took the time to ensure all of our other appliances were without issue. If you are in the Lincoln or Omaha area I highly recommend this service!! They saved our holiday quickly and with great kindness!

We just had our Wolf range repaired for the 2nd time. It broke at Christmas when we had 14 family staying at our house for 10 days. The part was slow in coming in so it was inconvenient not having a real functioning oven over the holidays.

We have had Michael M do the repairs both times. He is very professional and neat and tidy. He’s very pleasant and knows what he is doing. He’s also a real family man, love it that he shared he has four children (as does our daughter).

Kelvin was great. Spent a lot of time with us explaining the problem and the fix. Very personable and obviously an asset to your company. We'll request his services next time we need help.

Update** Called and spoke to a "manager" about my experience after the review reply said to do so and they did confirm that the way they do business and not being transparent about the pricing is part of there "Policy." I would stay clear of businesses like this. Being this un-transparent is not professional. Maybe y'all should change your policy to say we do not do free estimates.

I had a very disappointing experience with the intake process at Hometown Hero. After being referred by Samsung for a dishwasher issue, I was told there is a $150 diagnostic fee, which I was perfectly willing to pay. However, when I asked for their flat-rate labor cost for a worst-case scenario (circuit board replacement) to help me decide if the unit was worth fixing, they refused to give me any pricing.
​It’s hard to trust a company that claims to have 'flat rate' pricing but won't disclose what those rates are. Instead, I was pushed toward a $50 'virtual diagnostic.' It felt like my fees were being hidden until I was already financially committed to the service call. As a local manager who values transparency, I found this lack of clarity very unprofessional. I'll be looking elsewhere for a more transparent local repair shop

Service person was actually early for the appointment but communicated clearly and it was very nice to be earlier than the scheduled timeframe even if it was only 10 minutes. The individual was very friendly, efficient yet thorough and I feel we were treated fairly. Though we ultimately chose not to move forward with the repair, due to cost of repair versus buying new, we never felt pressured to do the repairs and they were very honest and upfront about costs. I appreciate the honesty. Have used them in the past and will use them again.

They handled a warranty repair to the ice maker on my samsung french door Fridge. Bryce K did an excellent job. Explained the repair, and all questions I had. Was professional, polite and friendly. Hopefully I won't need to call them again, but if I do I won't think twice about contacting them. Great Work!

Jan 2026 I think it’s great that you can get a remote appointment for the $50, which is then applied to any work you have done by them. Sometimes that’s all that’s needed and I am confident that Darrin diagnosed my dryer properly. He was very knowledgeable,easy-going and able to answer any questions I had. I will certainly use this service again. Thank you!

Thank you very much for your assistance repairing my Samsung microwave. Derrick did an excellent job and clearly has seen it all with regards to appliance repairs. While Hometown Hero Appliance Repair may not be the fastest or cheapest solution, I am quite confident the issue has been resolved and they will stand behind their work. My only suggestion for improvement would be to warehouse common parts in Omaha so customers don’t have to wait for parts to ship locally. Hometown was able to get us on the scheudle quickly because of a same day cancelation. The tech repaired our dishwasher's power issue quickly and was very friendly. The repair price was reasonable. This was our first time using them and I would call them again in the future.

Derek did a great job explaining everything about our repair. He has helped us with other appliances before and always goes above and beyond. Our service was terrific from start to finish. We also had a great experience with the scheduler. We needed help getting something to fit in our schedule and she went above and beyond to help with that as well.

Our technician was Derek. He arrived on time, carefully evaluated my issue with my ovens and explained everything he was checking as he diagnosed the issue. Nick did a great job fixing our dishwasher and dryer! It took a few visits because he needed to order some parts, but he was polite and professional every time. After he fixed our dryer he asked if I would like the dryer door reversed (so it opens toward the washer rather than away from it). I didn't even know that was possible, but it's so much more convenient! We'll definitely call Hometown Hero again if we need an appliance repaired.

Kelvin was great! He knows what he is doing, gets the job done quickly, cleans up and leaves everything looking great. He also explains things at our level and is very pleasant to work with. Kelvin has helped us with another appliance before and I hope we always get him if the need arises. The company was also great to work with and kept me informed at all times. Thank you to everyone!

Best experience in appliance repair! Scheduling was a breeze through a very courteous and efficient call center. Could service my washing machine the next day. Nick arrived within the scheduling window and diagnosed my issue within 15 minutes. He was both professional and courteous. My 30+year-old vintage Maytag washer runs like a dream! I cannot say enough good things about Hometown Hero. We had another appliance repair company come out to look at our refrigerator, which is a Samsung we bought brand new from NFM only 20 months ago. They took a quick look and told us we basically needed to buy a whole new refrigerator. Hearing that was incredibly frustrating, and it would have cost us around 3,500.
Thankfully, we decided to call Hometown Hero since they are the only Samsung approved service provider in Omaha. Derek came out, took one look, and within three minutes said, “Your line is frozen. It should only take a few minutes to fix.” And he was right. A simple service visit saved us thousands.
I am so grateful we did not listen to the first company. We will never call them again. As the world moves more toward automation and AI, having someone with real hands-on expertise is going to matter even more. Derek was a gem of a human and clearly knows his stuff.
Highly recommend Hometown Hero. They earned a customer for life.
