Water Damage Restoration reviews in Omaha, Nebraska
-
Worst experience I have ever had with a company. Their subs did substandard work. Their so called project manager was rarely on site. Deconstruction crew was the proverbial bull in a china shop and they're response was "you have to expect some damage with this kind of work." They lied about removing all of the wet insulation from the attic. Fortunately, I went up there to check and made them come back. They insinuated that we were intentionally damaging items and throwing things out so they would have to be replaced. Eventually, our contractor had to send his own people in to complete the work properly. Their motto "Like it never happened" is a joke. If it hadn't been for our contractor, our home would still be a mess. Servpro then had the nerve to file a lien on our property claiming they were owed more money for their substandard work. I am sure this will end up in court. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

Lathe and his crew are the professional and a pleasure to deal with! Highly recommend them!

Wonderful job Serv-Pro. Thank you for the assistance in our time of need with water removal. Your staff was great, addressed all concerns and were very courteous and professional. I highly recommend to anyone in need of water mitigation services to use your franchise.

With the most recent snow storm we had a roof leak and water damage to our ceiling so we filed a claim. ServPro contacted me right away to set up a time for come out and evaluate. Upon inspection it was decided that mitigation would need to be completed in order to fix all the water damage. The mitigation appointment was set up within 4 days which was so efficient! Matt and Heidi performed the mitigation service and were beyond professional. They explained the entire process and took great care to protect our home while they demoed. Now we will need repair done but I have had no complaints at all about this company thus far so I’m sure it will be a smooth process! Thanks again to Matt and Heidi for making such a stressful homeowner’s issue such a smooth and effortless endeavor! I really appreciate it!

I was very stressed when water started coming through my light fixtures in the kitchen.
I wanted to say Matt came out and the crew Matt was very patient and understanding. Very Very Very professional. Matt and the crew saved the day he knows his work also he does this all to well.
They set up equipment aimed it at the rite places the ceiling took about 3 days to dry because of all the water. I would suggest going with SERVPRO if anything happens in your home or apartment.
I would ask specifically for Matt be made me very comfortable he assured us he would take care of us and he did I hope he gets to see this thank you Matt
FYI I think he should be the CEO of SERVPRO that’s how good he is thank you for taking care of my home and bringing such great positive energy and a great smile through the storm we had here thank you again! -
Leelynn and Matt’s team were the best. Very efficient, courteous, professional and left my sewer ravaged home clean. Will definitely request this team again when needed.

Brian and his team at Servpro are fantastic. They are professional, great communication and thorough with the work they provide. I would recommend them for anyone in need of water, mold or fire mitigation work.

Experienced a house fire, (which nobody ever thinks is going to happen to them)...and I called Serv Pro because they had handled a bunch of neighbors flooded basements when our city sewer backed up, and they were all happy with Serv Pro's service... Glad I did!! Shauna and Brian were awesome and I would use and reccomend them again!! House was restored beautifully and no lingering odors. Thanks guys!!

I had a house fire back in April. Savannah and her team were great to work with. Savannah was VERY responsive and i know i probably annoyed her a bit but she never acted like it. Very grateful for them.

*** Response- I reached out many times copying management. The last communication I had with them was sending screen shots of texts, emails, and photos of damage done with no response.
If zero stars was possible, it would still be to much.
Servpro was nothing but disappointing. From the quality of work, to communication.
From the beginning they did not take an inventory of the items they threw away from water damage, which they assured me they would. Then left bags of wet drywall to mold in the back of my storage room.
After the drying process, the left my house with out flooring for three months.
Then the entire time the flooring was being installed we let the manager Becca know that it was being installed incorrectly.
I was told I was being to picky, and that I didn't know what I was talking about. I had to email there subcontractors again tonight, almost 11 months later.
My walls are messed up with paint chips and gashes left. My bathroom sloppily thrown together with poorly done wall patches, and incorrectly mounted toilets.
So now that they are done and out of our lives- almost $20K later.
Our walls, floor trim, flooring, and bathrooms all need corrected.
Save yourself time, and heartache. Go with ANYONE ELSE. -
My son and his wife were out of country, when we checked the house at 6:00 PM and found a burst water line in the upstairs. Water was pouring out of the kitchen ceiling right below and it was running through the floor into the laundry room below the kitchen.
It was a total mess!
About an hour after the call went out to Servpro, Dan and Jessie responded and assessed the situation, within another hour Malcom and Jasmine the technicians were there setting up commercial dehumidifiers and fans on all three levels. They worked late into the night getting everything running.
I can’t say enough about Servpro’s response, their professional work and on top of all that they were all super friendly and more than willing to answer all my questions.
Servpro you get as many stars as possible!!
I would highly recommend them to everyone!! -
Came home from vacation on a late Saturday afternoon to a basement with water everywhere causes by a cracked pipe that must have leaked for days while we were gone. We immediately called Servpro at the recommendation of our insurance broker. They showed up within an hour and got to work immediately. Granted, these people had been working long hours due to the extreme cold causing many issues across Omaha. Regardless, they all showed empathy towards our situation. They worked for hours to get our basement to the point it could start drying. Over the next few days they continued the process of demolition and removal, and we could feel the humidity levels coming down to normal.
Through the process their teams communicated well, had great customer service, answered all our questions, and were overall fun despite their long days!
Shout out to all the people that helped take care of us:
Matt, Leelynn, Kevin, Daeton, Brayan, Blake, Bobby, Brayden, and Chris -
DO NOT use this outfit. I’m not sure if Servpro’s is a franchise or a single operation. But tbe ServPro that came to Glenwood, IA destroyed my basement carpet and never came back, as promised, to install the carpet pad and re-secure the carpet back down. We had to call and hire Kelley’s Carpet Omaha to finish the job.

Servpro was excellent in restoring my basement after a pipe broke. They had 8 people out here the first day with equipment fans etc. I worked with Shauna who made the whole process easy. She communicated when the workers would be at my house. I highly recommend using Servpro. A great company.

My sewer line backed up into my basement and Stephen Bergmann replaced all the affected drywall and trim, primed and painted the walls, rehung the doors, installed the new bathroom vanity, and went above and beyond to make sure everything looked perfect when he was done. He was such a pleasure to work with and is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet! I highly recommend him! Ten stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Matt and Chris were over this morning to clean our basement carpet after our cat and kids had been making a terrible mess of it. They called before arriving, were on time, professional and courteous. They explained everything and got to work. They did a very thorough and wonderful job! It looks and smells great, which is a major improvement! I highly recommend them if you’ve got a big mess. They can handle it.

We hired this company on June 9th when we had fire and water damage. They removed all of our personal clothing items by June 12th. It was mentioned more than once that we could have our clothes back anytime. Servpro employees poorly documented what they took from our home so when it came time for the business to provide a list of our items, they missed several items big and small. I have had to provide many corrections to their list. Savannah, contents manager has asked us for pictures of items they should have. Nothing should leave the home without proper documentation. Servpro has had our clothing for close to 2 months. It has been very difficult getting our clothing items back. Their excuse is they are busy taking on new emergencies and do not have time to clean them. I feel strongly if they cannot meet their current customers needs why are they taking on more business. We are displaced from our home for the next 10-12 months. We need our clothing which includes shoes, belts, purses, coats, hats, etc. for the next year. When reminding Savannah, Kevin or Johnny that we want these items back, it was threatened they will bring everything back. Since we are displaced from our home we do not have room. Johnny states that once items are processed it is difficult to access individual items, especially without payment and prior notice. They have had plenty of notice. We are not requesting everything back. We have had items damaged, things removed without proper documentation, lost items, received other people’s items, & they have cancelled scheduled deliveries. I have many antique items in curio cabinets they have not accounted for. This company is disorganized and have demonstrated poor customer service. When it comes to your home you want someone you can trust. I would not recommend this company.
Per the above information, you can see we have contacted the company many times. The names of the people we have contacted. Savannah, Content manager; Kevin, Director of Operations; and Johnny, Chief Operating Officer. No resolution. -
Leland, Matt, and Kevin have been absolutely wonderful to work with. They were prompt and efficient. They did a great job with the clean up. We needed them for a biohazard clean up and they delivered. I cannot recommend working with them enough. I learned they also do fire and restoration clean ups as well. While I do not wish this type of clean up for anyone, the process has been made much easier with this team.

Truthfully beyond amazing! While the reason for needing their service was not fun; shooting the customer (me) strait, easy communication, and having the chance to speak directly to the owner (amazing!) and explanation of exactly what’s happening each step of the way. Their patients, communication, follow up and willingness to work with our schedules was unmatched and should we need service again in the future Lathe, Andy and the whole team will be our first call! Thank you for getting us back to normal!

There was several things wrong with my experience with SERV PRO of Omaha Southwest.
This team was dispatched to handle services in Iowa in July after severe torrential storms. The local team was swamped and couldn’t do it. So this team came.
1) This team was here to make money, period. They were from a different state and employees were likely paid overtime, needing lodging, etc. Due to supply and demand, I assume the service cost was significantly higher than if it were a local team. At the end of the day, not much work was done to justify this cost. I get companies want to make money. ***But this company behaved as if it was taking advantage of homes who just experienced disaster. ***
2) The communication throughout the service was awful. The team wanted in and out. Comments like “we don’t know what your insurance will cover,” “it will be sent to insurance, we don’t know;” all to convey that they have no role in what actually happens. There was a lot of “we don’t know,” but Lathe and his team could have been better at giving a rundown of how things typically occur. Giving a schedule would have helped greatly.
Upon contacting SERV-PRO of my area, it was communicated that there would be a restoration component. In my conversation with Lathe (upon paying down payment), I still believed there was a restoration component.
I did not know that they weren’t going to restore ANYTHING until the day they were finally done. This wasn’t communicated. Families are stressed when their house is flooded, and this team wanted in and out. Taking more time to explain things would have been extremely helpful.
***3) My main issue is that Lathe communicated that if my family cleaned up the basement beforehand, the cost of the bill (and labor) would go down. The overall estimate could be lowered if we cleaned. We spent several hours cleaning up down there, and moved many things out of the way. The final bill was not changed in any way to reflect this. So, we just helped this team for no reason.
4) The front desk acted annoyed where I wondered where the bill was. “I would ask your insurance,” was said again. When I finally got the bill a month later, it written as overdue days earlier.
