The results look great and the whole process went smoothly. Modern Landscape first did a thorough review of the current yard condition and took meticulous measurements so that they could give me a proper estimate.

Modern Landscape listened to my ideas for the backyard and created a good design that met my requirements and also made sure all of the HOA rules and County building code were followed. Modern Landscape also took care of making sure the required building permit was pulled by a subcontractor.

The written design plan diagram was clear and detailed, and the HOA only had minor questions before approving.

The team at Modern Landscape did a really good job with coordinating multiple subcontractors to build a new concrete patio, insulated aluminum patio cover, a new irrigation system, installed new plants and updated rock landscaping.

As soon as we got HOA approval, the construction work was completed faster than I expected and the work passed the County building department inspection.

Installers smoked weed while doing install causing me to kick them off the job. After install I requested a reduction in my bill. After two weeks of not hearing anything from owner, Steve, after several requests to speak to me he said he prided himself on customer service and good work. He admitted they smoked on the job!!!! He refused initially to discount bill saying it’s not his fault and later never offered more than $300 dollars off a $5000 dollar job. Avoid business if you want customer service. Contacting NV Contractors Board.

BUYER BEWARE
We had a large area of turf put into our backyard. Not even 12 hours later, the next morning, there was a large burn stripe in it. After some research, we learned it was from the reflection of our windows. After calling the company, the receptionist acted like she had never heard of this situation before. When we called some solar companies (to come cover our windows) they said that they get this call ALL THE TIME.
This should have been explained to us before the turf was installed. Now, the company said they would return our phone calls and they have not. The entire thing needs to be replaced. For the amount of money we paid, this company needs to learn how to follow up with their customers.

Initially it was a good experience. HOWEVER, once I had my turf (artificial grass) installed and I paid the same day with cash it turned into a disaster. Within 24 hours I had these lines appear in the turf and after some research I found out that it is a common problem. It's the windows reflecting the sun onto the turf and then burning lines into the turf. Had the installers or company warned me of this COMMON problem, I would have taken measures to prevent it. My turf is still under warranty, BUT after several calls, emails, and text messages to the company they have yet to respond for over 3 weeks. I also referred them (before the problems started) to my brother who wanted turf, and lo and behold he has the SAME problems with lines burning into his turf, no response and no warning of the potential problems either. I regret I used this company and regret that I referred them to my brother.
This can all be resolved with a return call and my turf being fixed.

Don and his guys were great from start to finish. Don designed our small backyard that was cluttered and not enjoyable into a small masterpiece that is not only functional but enjoyable and looks great! His guys were very professional and everyone was open minded to our ideas and preferences. Great work and very efficient (lot of work in a short period of time). Quality job!! Thank you! We worked with Mike Oritz a few years ago to re-do our back yard and we still love it! Now with that being said, we have jumped the HOA hoops to get our front yard done. We set up tentative dates of May 11th or 12th as he said it takes a month to get the turf in. I have left messages with Mike but no phone call or text return so I am assuming we are still set but not sure for May 11th or 12th. Not sure what time the crew will be there or the day, but since we are hosting a UNLV graduation party on Saturday, I do hope it gets done.

I am so thrilled with my new landscape! Donald Moore designed the perfect landscape to fit my yard and my budget. He came up with a few options for me, so I was able to get Phase 1 done this year and can work on Phase 2 once I see what my budget will allow me to spend. The turf in the front yard is beautiful and surrounded by some lovely desert landscape and plants. The crew also added pavers along each side of the driveway so that it's easier for my parents to get in and out of the car when it's parked along the edge of the driveway.

I now have the best looking yard on my street. The neighbors have been walking past to check it out. I couldn't be happier and can't wait to get started on Phase 2 next year.

After shopping around, I went with desert greenscapes for a backyard redo. I now have a great putting green. I found their prices to be reasonable, workers very professional and finished in the time they quoted (I had out of town guests in the following day). Also, since they knew I was expecting guests, in addition to the turf job, they also tidied up around the yard for me as well.

I received quotes from 4 companies and although Donald was not the least expensive nor the most expensive without question Donald is the most professional! Unlike the others that only took my request and quoted it, Donald took the time to outline a much more curb appealing project with designs incorporating my old rocks to wrap around our new tree, adding paving to the property line and around our pillar to make it so much more appealing. He even recommended the flagstone where our roof drops rain onto the turf that would have damaged the turf in the long run and even a flagstone for the mailman so he wouldn't step on our turf daily in the same spot. A most professionally done project to the point that I had Donald outline what he could do with my backyard. That is the next project in a few months to be done by Donald and his crew from Desert Greenscapes. I highly recommend his services.

Desert Greenscapes did the conversion on both my front and backyard after consulting with a few different landscapers. I had a list of requirements for the backyard and was looking for suggestions for the front yard. Don was very attentive to my requirements, and came up with a great design for both. He has also been available to answer questions since the conversion.

The crew was wonderful – on time, courteous, and even finished the job early. I was especially pleased with their patience and friendliness as I moved my foster pup through the ‘construction zone’ since she was extremely fearful of just about everything at the time and I wasn’t sure how she’d react around strangers.

I love my low maintenance yard!! It’s been 4 months since they’ve completed the work, and I’m still getting complements on it.

BEST LOOKING YARD ON THE BLOCK! Desert Greenscapes landscaped our backyard in Dec of 2010. We contacted three different companies to give us estimates and to help us design our dream backyard. We wanted a lush yard with artificial grass, pavers, a fire pit, a retaining wall, and lots of trees and shrubs.
Donald arrived at our house on time, and he was very prepared for all of our questions. We chose Desert Greenscapes because of Donald’s knowledge and honesty. We felt very comfortable with him, and he worked hard to design a really impressive backyard and to keep the price within our budget. Donald really helped us out with the Summerlin HOA as well. He drew a very nice sketch and provided all of the additional info that the HOA needed to approve our project. All I had to do was drop off the documents at the HOA office. It couldn’t have been any easier!
Our schedule was really hectic in December, between work and travel, but Donald worked with us to get the job done. The yard took a little longer to complete than planned, but it was well worth it! Donald’s crew was one of the most polite and professional crews that I have ever seen. The project took several days to complete, and every night the crew left the yard clean and organized. There was never any trash, tools, etc. left in our yard!
All of the materials and shrubs/trees that Desert Greenscapes used were of the highest quality. Our artificial grass looks amazing, and all but 3 of our plants survived the unusually cold temps and snow that we got this winter.
Another great thing about Desert Greenscapes is the service after installation. Donald and his crew have come back to our house several times. They put some additional stakes in a couple of our trees after a few days of some really strong winds. The also came by to clean out our sprinkler valve because some small rocks had gotten stuck in valve. Donald has also been very helpful when I have called him with questions about maintaining the yard (fertilizing, pruning, etc.). I strongly recommend Donald and Desert Greenscapes to anyone who wants a beautiful backyard and wants a company with integrity!

Donald Moore is knowledgeable and professional. He offered enhancements that improved the overall appearance of our yard. We are very pleased.
