We recently had a $7,000 Air Source Heat Pump installed by another company in April 2019. Our first winter with the system we discovered that they had not installed the heat strips that kick in when the heat pump can't heat the house on its own.

A month ago our entire system shut down. The heat, the a/c nor the fan would work. We had the installation company come to check it out. They said it was a blown fuse caused by the heat strips. They said we needed an electrician to install another breaker or something because it may happen again. No less than a week later, it stopped working again.

ENTER AIRSHIELD...my wife was mentioning our HVAC headache to her parents and they recommended Albert from AirShield. He came by the next day and spent a few minutes on the roof. He came down and informed us that the system had been wired wrong and was using the heat strips as the regular heater. He re-wired the system and we have not had any issues since.

I had an issue with my blower motor not working. I called to set an appointment for the next day with Albert. He tested the part and explained what the issue was and made the necessary repairs. My A/C stopped working yesterday so I called a company who diagnosed that my condenser is broken and needs to be replaced. Since my HVAC is older, they need to replace the whole system. They quoted $13K! I was a bit suspicious about this so I called Albert from Airshield for a second opinion. He was very friendly and put me in in his busy schedule on a Sunday. He arrived, diagnosed and found that the dual capacitor was broken. It was an easy fix. My A/C is now working again! If you need an honest and very knowledgeable HVAC technician, there is no need to call anybody else. Call Albert. Highly recommended!

Albert at Air Shield is amazing! He is very professional and courteous. Our AC went out on Saturday and Albert came out on a Sunday morning to save us from the heat. We received a quote the day before from another company and they told us we needed a new AC and wanted $14,000!!!! OMG 😱 Albert was able to fix our AC for way less than that and it is working so well it's freezing in here. I know Albert will work with us in the next year to get our 20 plus yr old AC updated. My AC unit wasn't working. I called him and told him the symptoms and right away he knew what was wrong and how to fix it. He was able to schedule an appointment quickly and showed up perfectly on time. He was able to fix my AC unit quickly. He explained what issues it had and how he fixed it throughout the process. He gave good tips on best practices to maintain the unit and answered the numerous questions I had. His pricing was also very fair.

Overall, I had a great experience with Albert and intend to use him as my main AC unit expert going forward.

I was referred to Albert (Airshield Heating & Cooling) after another big name company did routine fall/winter service tune-up on our equipment. We had just done the spring/summer service tune-up a few months prior, and everything was just fine per the technician.

During the fall/winter service tune-up, we suddenly were told that our entire duct system for the home would need to be replaced for approximately $10,000-$11,000. They stated that the airflow on their equipment was reading low, that there were other issues with the actual duct lines, etc.

After speaking to Albert on the phone, he said he would have someone out the following day. He stated that he seriously doubts that the ENTIRE duct work needs to be replaced, and that he would have 2 employees on site; 1 would be up in the attic, and the 2nd would be on the ground floor going from room to room and communicating with the person in the attic.

Long story short, all that needed to be done was changing the position of the main duct runs in the attic. Afterwards, both employees went from room to room and checked to make sure that there was proper airflow, and the situation was resolved. Instead of costing $10,000-$11,000, the final invoice was $620.

I now have a new Heating & Air Condition company that has earned my loyalty. I thank Albert and his crew along with my friend that referred them.
