Horrible customer service. Home warranty company sent out and they tried charging us $280 to "clean coils" on our AC. Had a legitimate company come out that charged us a reasonable amount and there was too much frion in our unite. The technician didn't even check that. Now our AC is working fine for the mean time. No thanks to AMA Air.

They were contracted by fidelity national home warranty to fix my leak. The work order was filed as emergency but it took them many visits, cancellations, and over a week later to get it done. I probably have water damage because of them. If you get this company assigned to you from your warranty, I would suggest you request an immediate change of contractor.

Worst experience these people are clearly incompetent!!!! I called about not having hot water, my pilot light on the water heater was out, they send a man who does not speak English, all he can tell me is it's fixed it's fixed few hours latter no hot water!! So they send the same guy out so this time I won't leave him alone. I ask questions which I do not receive proper answers to. Again I get its fixed it's fixed. Few hours latter no hot water. Customer service on top of that sucks. These people are pretty much sucking the life out of me. I have wasted 2 whole days waiting on them and I'm sure now their is going to be a 3rd. That is time I can't go to work or properly take care of my child.

Update- these people have since come out and replaced my water heater but never once told me what was wrong with the first. Told my warranty company that there was a leak but the technician told me he just simply didn't know what was wrong. I asked for a different technician on several occasions and they refused. Genesis lies tells u everything is fixed then speaks to you like your stupid because the technician does not speak English and there is a language barrier. I have never had such bad customer service or been ripedoff so much. Worst customer service ever

AMA Air was assigned to my air conditioner claim through Old Republic. Day of claim, never got a call or text message or email from AMA. On the day following the claim, I called them and after nobody answered, I left a message to be called back. Nobody called back that day. One day following my call, still no call back from AMA. So I called Old Republic and asked for another service provider. Old Republic still wanted to assign them but I refused. If they can't respond to a claim, I have no confidence they will show up or complete the job properly. They have not earned my business. Within 10 minutes of being assigned a new service provider, I have an appointment with the new provider. Zero responsiveness from AMA Air. Don't waste your time.

Tech came out on Saturday for leaking water heater, told me that a couple of things needed upgrading to code. Today I called Fidelity National to find out status. Now there's 624.00 worth of code violations.we have decided to cancel this request and put in another, hopefully the next company will be more trustworthy. Had a bad feeling when this company was assigned to us. Bad review after bad review.

    *****STAY AWAY*****
Vendor was assigned by warranty company to fix AC. 20 days later and the AC is still not repaired. Slowest and most unprofessional company I have ever experienced.

I get the feeling they only stay in business because they take low bids from warranty companies and get them finished whenever they need money.

Pretty embarrassing... Nobody answers the phone and when they do, you wouldn't know it was a business because its just some guy who answers the phone like its his personal line.
    *****STAY AWAY*****

I work for a property management company. They have been assigned to other properties of ours through warranty and its the same issue. No scheduling, multiple visits to solve the problem, unprofessional, no communication the list goes on...

The only thing they are consistent in is poor performance HAHA what a joke

This company came out to fix our air conditioner through American Home Shield. The service man could barely speak English and was on the phone with his company the entire visit. He put in a new transformer plus 2 lbs. of coolant which he charged us $96.50 for. Then he tried to charge us $350 to clean the unit and we said no, which didn't make him very happy. 40 days later, the a/c unit stopped working again. We called American Home Shield and asked for a different company to come out. They sent out Air Squad. Their service man had to replace the same transformer plus put in a capacitor and said the coolant valve was leaking and had been for quite some time and it was a very obvious leak. He fixed it and said we were down about 3 lbs. of coolant. We did not refill the coolant but called American Home Shield again. They sent out AMA Corp again. The same nasty service man came out and checked the coolant and said we didn't need any and refused to show my husband the gauge. Soooo, American Home Shield sent out Air Squad and he put in almost 3 lbs of coolant and our unit does not need to be cleaned as AMA Corp claimed. If you want to get ripped off, then use them at you own risk. Air Squad was wonderful and fixed everything.

My home warranty company, Old Republic Home Protection, contracted AMA Air to service my AC on a rental home in May 2022. The technician reported the unit was dirty and needed to be cleaned, but otherwise was running. The unit was not running and my renter was sweltering in the heat. I had to find another AC contractor on my own and got a 2nd opinion. They confirmed the worst, that the 29 year old unit was not repairable and needed to be replaced. I did receive a $2,400 credit from ORHP for the replacement of the unit, which cost $17,000. ORHP would not waive the $75 service call by AMA Air, I felt that was adding insult to injury. AMA Air should be avoided always, they are completely incompetent.

Came out on a Thursday to check our AC unit. Took it apart to diagnose and wanted to charge $650 to fix so I guess the owner did not agree with the pricing. Another company was sent over to take a look but couldn't do anything because the fan control center was dismantled by the AMA tech. Had to reschedule for the AMA tech to come back to our home to put it back together before the other guy could do anything so we had to wait until Saturday between 2 and 5 pm. The AMA tech never showed and I never received a call from anyone. Of course, understandable to be closed on Sundays, but was rescheduled for Monday between 9 and 11am yet he was an hour late. Pretty much put my family out of AC in the dead heat of summer in July for more than a few days. Took him a minute to put it back together and leave and then finally, the other company could come and fix the unit. Took the other guy not more than 10 minutes to fix. Was out of AC for 8 days total; 4 of those days credited to AMA. Lovely. Just lovely. Thanks a bunch.

if i could rate them -10 stars i would. they have left our home in 101 degree heat for 3 weeks going on 4 and then ignore the number when we call about having the tech come finish his job after he decided to quit his job in the middle of our appointment last week.
now we have to medically evacuate the home again and this company is used by the HOME WARENTY PROGRAM! Outrageous, never in my life have i felt so neglected by a service. even now they get on the line and hang up as we are still having to deal with company as i type. we have been promised our 15th appointment with this company since the start of the issue and only one of the appointments have been honored as scheduled. The first appointment was apparently missed because he had incompetently parked in a tow zone. we have had to reschedule over and over and they refuse to schedule someone new until your first tech quits.
This company is an ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. Please be advised they will not fix anything you have wrong. They are the absent minded teenagers of the Air and Plumbing service industry!

same as everyone else - assigned this company from Old Republic Insurance and they didn't show up and were super rude. canceled that service request and opened a new one and was assigned a much better company. if you're assigned AMA - don't give them the benefit of the doubt like I did. Just cancel that service request and open a new one and repeat until you're assigned not this company.

Had to use this company due to a warranty contract to replace a water heater. First thing the tech Max did was say that there were a bunch of code violations (there weren't, it was perfectly installed by the home builder). Then he said that our warranty only covers the water heater, not parts, permits or labor (untrue and outrageous as he did not know my policy and the policy clearly covered everything). Then he tried to get me to sign for the work by saying "sign here, here, and here, then I'll tell you what it says". Very unprofessional and I feel for anyone who was scammed into signing something without reading it. The whole time during the first visit, he complained that they weren't supposed to be doing upstairs water heaters.

I immediately took before pictures as I did not have a feeling of trust especially after they made us sign paperwork saying they are 100% not liable for any home damage during the install.

After speaking with the warranty company, they told us they covered everything except the vent modification. And it was an $85 fee that must be paid before the tech would show up to do the work. At this time, my family of 5 had been without hot water for a week. So my wife agreed to pay the bill upfront.

When the tech finally came to do the work, my father was home to let him in. I told my father to watch what the tech had to do to the vent. He even asked the tech about the vent when he noticed nothing being done with it and Max said "we have to use the existing vent, we are not allowed to. We have to vent it through the existing vent".

To my surprise when I came home, Max had not even modified the vent. Thank goodness I had before pictures!!

So then I called the warranty company, who in turn 3 way called AMA Air with us on the line. I explained everything to the receptionist who then put us on hold for 10 minutes. She then came back and said all the paperwork says the work was done. At that time, I informed AMA Air that I have before and after photos showing no work was done to the vent and we would like a full refund. She then put us on hold again for another 10-15 minutes saying that her and the supervisor were looking at their photos. When she came back on the line, she said that their photos show the vent modification took place. And that it is required for code since all water heater vents are different sizes. I was taken aback by these two lies (40 gallon gas water heaters have the same size vent connectors and actually come with one which they did not install).

At this point, 2pm, I told them they have till the end of the day to resolve this and issue a full refund for the work not done but paid for. If they do not, I will be forced to contact the Nevada State Contractors Board. They did not call back. In fact, they told us the next day that they would not issue a refund and hung up on us.

I will now be contacting the Nevada State Contractors Board to report this companies criminal activity.

No show no call. The first time they came to address the knocking noise in my A/C the tech said he "wasn't experienced enough to diagnose the problem" and they'd call me back to schedule a senior technician to come back out. I never heard back. My home warranty company scheduled them to come out again. The never showed up or called. When I called them, they assured me they would be out the next day. Didn't show up again but this time they at least called to tell me he can't make it. Absolute clowns.

Terrible , terrible company. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have valued proof and record of terrible customer service through being misled and lied to by AMA. Talked through with their manager Sergei to try to come to a resolution and was practically blamed by him for his Technician’s failures! Their tech found an issue while working on a separate issue and said they were going to submit a written work order and pictures to my home warranty to get fixed. The AMA tech said I would get a call to schedule. Didn’t hear anything back from them and started getting a leak. Called AMA and home warranty to find out there was no proof of this issue. Now they say it’s my fault!! They hardly every answer their phone or return your call. AMA is not interested in customer satisfaction, just your pocket book. The tech also oversold an expensive coil cleaning service that they have no record of me paying for either. DO NOT USE!!

This company is a BIG RIPOFF!! My home warranty sent them out to repair my leaking water heater that was under warranty and was just put ion 4 years ago. A guy came out in his personal vehicle to look at it and said it was no problem to swap it out. When my home warranty called about the authorization, they told me that there was over $500.00 in uncovered cost. This company was trying to say that I needed all kinds of stuff to bring it up to code and they had to replace the vent and all kinds of other stuff that was not needed. I didn't use them and had to open another claim and got the home warranty to send another company. The other company came out and did it for only $100.00 warranty replacement. I don't know why the home warranty companies use these people. They should be put out of business because they are a BIG RIPOFF. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Came home Saturday morning to discover the hot water heater not working. Contacted Fidelity National who referred us to AMA. Ama sent our a service person Monday morning. So not to have a problem in the future we told AMA that instead of replacing the hot water heater we wanted to upgrade to a tankless system. Service person gave us a quote for approx $4300 and asked for immediate deposit of 50% which we gave him with a guarantee that the work would be done on Wednesday. Wednesday no one showed up in the morning so I called the company only to learn after being placed on hold and disconnected 2 times that nothing was scheduled. Since we have been out of hot water since Saturday I immediately cancelled the project. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE . I blame Fidelity for dealing with a company that has a bad track record

Record High Heat July - No AC. AMA accepts my warranty claim to come out scheduled 5 days later. I try to contact to see if there is any way we can make this sooner. No answer, no call back. I request a different vendor. I get assigned AMA again. I get a text and an email to call them to make an appointment (Am I to assume that the date they sent me for 5 days is not scheduled?). I call the number, no answer, left a message, no call back in 48 hours. Needless to say I have to contact a company that will answer because if I request a different vendor again, im sure I'll get AMA a 3rd time. I can't speak to the quality of work, but good luck trying to schedule an appointment. 3 days now, I haven't canceled the claim yet to see if I'll even hear back from them.

Had an emergency plumbing issue late at night and AMA Air responded quickly. The plumber was courteous and fixed the problem efficiently. They saved me from what could have been a disaster. i will definetly call them again for any future plumbing needs

Company was assigned to our A/C unit issues by home warranty. The tech they sent out on the initial appointment was great. He started working the issue and made an initial repair. Unfortunately, that was not the issue and he had to return. The next repair required a few parts that they didn't have on hand. The dispatch scheduled an installation appointment for 31 July, but had to cancel. Dispatch rescheduled for next day, I took another afternoon off work and this time the tech never showed, I had to call and find out what happened at close to 7 p.m. because I had not heard from the tech or dispatch. The story I got was that the tech was running late and it got too late to continue working. So, we rescheduled for today (Saturday, 5 August) with a 10:00-12:00 window. I called dispatch when the tech didn't show within the allotted time slot and was given the excuse he was running late. I called an hour later for an update, basically told he'll get there when he gets there he just going to be very late. After that, their dispatch stopped taking my calls. I had to get the warranty company to contact them. Got an email from A M A that the tech would be here between 3-4:00. Its that time and I am still waiting...

Hired them to replace the back tank hardware in three toilets and they did a wonderful job. No more leaks and weak flushes! Afterwards, we noticed one toilet had a leaky set of bolts and gasket after it was removed and cleaned during the job, and they came back the next day to make it right. No leaks or wobbles, and the toilet is 100% bone dry all around and working perfectly. They call ahead and show up on time, and felt informed, safe, and comfortable with their work. We will always use them for our plumbing jobs! Very affordable too.
