What a Godsend. After another repair company didn't want to bother with repairs on old furnace, we called SS and Dennis came and got us going, which was a challenge. He not only went the extra mile(s) to get a part and clean the furnace, he seemed genuinely concerned for our welfare (being old folks!) Great guy, good company, fair price. Can't say enough positives!

Silver State Heating & Air has exceeded all our expectations. After a HORRIFIC year long experience with another contractor, they saved us. They came in and fixed the repairs needed. Dave did the repairs and did a phenomenal job! Great attention to detail. They're a local family owned company who cares about this community. Bill, the owner, is awesome & cares about people. He is honest & will be fair. I can't say enough about how happy we are now, after a bad experience. We will only use them in the future, if needed. Thank you Silver State!

My sister and I had a exceptional experience when we called Silver State for a heating repair. This was after calling our maintenance agreement with another company who informed us they could not come out for maybe two weeks to repair our furnace, WTH. Silver State came out the next day, fixed furnace and came back the following day to continue to fix the furnace until it worked properly. I am setting up furnace maintenance agreement with them... exceptional wonderful guys! so grateful.

I could go on and on... Silver State Heating and Air are THE BEST! Every employee I've met has been hard working and kind! They all seem to eat, breathe, and sleep HVAC; their passion is infectious! Silver State Heating and Air works on the AC and Heat for my office, and we are so grateful. They understand that honesty and integrity make a customer for life! Dave the Service Manager is passionate about HVAC and passionate about saving people money. That sounds like a line, but it isn't. He and I are in the same networking group (Truckee Meadows BNI) and Dave gets so excited telling stories of how he saved customers money. It feels rare to find a business with: skill, integrity, AND strong customer service. It feels like, "something's gotta give." Not in this case! They are the whole package :)

Steve is a very friendly technician. He had our water issue fixed in no time. He took the time to answer all of our questions and recommended ideas for our future projects. We will use this company in the future.

Cannot recommend Silver State enough. I work at a large apartment complex that was severely behind on HVAC maintenance. We had over 30 apartments experience heating and cooling issues from August to December and Silver State handled everything incredibly well. The repairs they have done have been thorough, their communication is incredible, and their techs are very knowledgeable/reliable! -- I cannot say the same for some other companies in the Reno area, unfortunately. Now that we have gotten through those initial units, we are working with Silver State to perform maintenance on the other units in our community, and it is going extremely well so far! Whether you are an apartment community or own your home, I highly highly highly recommend Silver State! This team is the best in Reno, hands down.

Silver State heating and air is the absolute best company that I have worked with when it comes to HVAC. They are consistent and do a very well job. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Alex when he comes to our community and he is very transparent when he talks to you about the problem at hand. Very friendly very easy to talk to and most of all very professional. I’ve also had the privilege to work with Dave. He runs a good business and is always very helpful. For our commercial building, we're set up for quarterly maintenance/service, and while it could be a pain, it's a breeze. They have fair prices, are easy to contact, and make sure we're operating in tip top shape.

We moved into our home a few years ago with a 30-year-old HVAC system that is both outdated and complicated. Our house has four different zone controls (four thermostats), a damper system that’s no longer typical, and the unit runs on propane. Silver State was one of the only companies in our area that knew how to work on a system like ours—I called at least five other places.

We first reached out in the middle of summer, shortly after moving in, when our heater started turning on in the middle of the night. We had a newborn at the time and woke up to a dangerously hot situation. Their team came out the very next day to troubleshoot and fix the issue. Part of the problem was a badly jerry-rigged control board at the main unit. They completely redid the control panel, and the price was very reasonable.

Fast forward three years later—I wanted to shut off one of the zones but couldn’t remember which zone controlled which part of the house. Dave, the service manager, took my call, and even after all that time, they had such thorough notes that he could tell me exactly which zone went where and how to safely disconnect it myself. They didn’t try to sell me a service call—they just did the right thing and helped a mom out.

Dave was fantastic, and the entire team has consistently been helpful, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. We can’t recommend Silver State Heating and Air enough.

Deceitful and dishonest. Not a good way to run a business.

Meet with aggressiveness as soon as the lady answered the phone. Asked to speak with a service manger to go over work scope and expectations. How to proceed with you guy’s checking our system to quote us for services. I would say with customer experience I had and the last review. This is not a good choice for your refrigeration needs.

This is an updated review regarding a horrible experience with the NBC office, specifically with the office manager Brenna Smith who is very aggressive, rude, and unreasonable.

NCB grossly overcharged us for the service and have been harassing us nonstop. We were charged for 2 hours of “work” that was done under an hour (shutting a hot water valve off, which did nothing to fix the HVAC not cooling issue), as well as a “truck” charge that was never discussed or agreed upon.

Stay away from this business!

The front end of this experience went well with good responsiveness from the service technician and a positive attitude. Unfortunately, once I received the bill and asked questions about it, Brenna (accounting) chose to be aggressive and combative without any effort to try and keep my business. I believed I was charged too many hours based on my conversations with the service tech but she refused to give on anything making it a very poor experience. I learned that giving a little often times saves a relationship and brings back far more business in the long run due to referrals and repeat work. It was disappointing that during our call, I provided her with multiple opportunities to save face and just apologize for the poor experience and yet she did not take it. This is two stars instead of 1 due to the service technician.

I let their technician into our building last Friday to work on the boiler. We had been out of hot water for 4 days. It's now Monday and still no hot water. So we've been 7 days without hot water now in mid-November, 2024.

I just called and asked the lady who answered if I could get an update about our service call from last Friday. She immediately responded "we've got someone there actively working on it."

However, I had not yet mentioned our location. So when I brought this to her attention she wouldn't answer any further questions. From my own experience coupled with the other reviews, how can anyone rationally choose to do business with this company?

Matthew came over to service our gas fire place that we hadn't used in years due to various issues. Within an hour he had it running perfectly and cleaned out all the dust and old embers and left the work space cleaner than he found it.

Cody cotton is the best employees a company could have. He was very thorough in what he did for us. He showed pictures and explained everything that was going to do and did. A employee like Cody Cotton makes a good company , and makes us homeowners trust in that company. When we call Nevada Heating, the office employees are very patient and kind. My heat stopped working last night with 9 degree temps on the horizon. I called numerous companies desperate for an emergency service and everyone was booked. I got a call back a short while later and was overjoyed to hear Joe Margareci agreed to come out despite that he was already done for the night. Not only did Joe save the day, he was far and away the best home repair tech I've ever had. Very thorough and honest. He took a bunch of pictures of the internals of my unit and explained everything clearly. Joe didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need; he simply gave me all my options and explained the pros and cons of each. 10/10.
