Only concern is the length of time it takes to get workers to our house for the job. The job is usually done well and to my satisfaction.
I do appreciate the confirming estimate on work proposed but, again, would like more rapid responsiveness to get the job done.
1/16/24 update: As always a great job and must admit that this time when I called Gibson they had someone at the house very promptly and with good follow up until the problem was solved much to my great satisfaction!

Gibson provided super fast service-- fixing an issue related to my boiler that other providers were struggling with. In fact, Gibson was recommended to me by another well respected heating contractor in town who I had reached out to first. They did a great job, quickly and for a fair price. Would highly recommend them.

We haves used Gibson Plumbing for the last 20 years or so. They have always been the BEST ! But most recently we had the most incredible service so far.

We discovered a fairly serious plumbing problem is the downstairs bathroom. It was already 1 in the afternoon when I called the office. Gibson said they would do the best they could to get someone out that same day. That just didn't work out, but they said that someone would be there at 8am in the morning.

At 7:55am Liz B. knocked on the door and was ready to go to work. Two hours later everything was completely fixed and Cleaned Up. Liz was Totally Professional to the maximum. She had the tools, the parts and the Knowledge and was extremely good to work with.

This service call had the best outcome possible. Many Thanks to Liz and the crew at Gibson Plumbing.

Galen from Gibson Plumbing has come out over the holidays to diagnose my leaking problem and returned the next week and efficiently replaced my toilet and answered any of my plumbing questions. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the service, repairs and cost. I will always use them in the future.

In looking for a firm which was competent in the boiler furnace heating systems I was referred to Gibson by another firm that did not work on my type of heating system. My requested work was estimated and contracted very quickly and the work was scheduled in a reasonable time frame. The work is now complete to my satisfaction and I have nothing but good things to say about Zack and his personality, professionalism and competency. One "hick up" was solved quickly with no drama. This company will be my "go to" firm for quality work on my heating system!

Gibson plumbing was a life saver. RC Willey delivery drivers failed to do a simple oven install stating they couldn't find the shut off valve when it was right in front of their faces. They didn't even plug the new refrigerator in. Gibson plumbing came to the rescue. Thank you so much. Your employee, Galen was super professional and he knew exactly what he was doing. They’ll fix it. That’s all anyone wants when it comes to these problems, and they can do it! Hire them, you won’t regret it! I called 6 different companies and Gibson was the only one that would even take a look at the problem. As it turns out, my problem was very minor and required barely any time and effort, but if it had been major, I believe Gibson would have handled that just as joyfully. All that calling around and it turns out my pipe was turned off at the valve. Now why couldn’t any other company have helped? They could have but they weren’t willing to accept the chance of any extra work. Gibson didn’t shy away from that chance. They’ll get my business in the future -which I’ve been told might not be for 10-20 years to come. Thanks to Gibson!

It’s never fun to write a bad review, and I really don’t like being negative. I typically avoid leaving bad reviews, but a few things about this experience were frustrating.

First, the staff kept calling me “honey,” “dear,” or “buddy.” I understand I’m younger, but it felt unprofessional and really annoying. They came to give me a quote, which I thought was a free estimate, and it took about 30 minutes or less. I ended up signing a document that said they’d charge me three times what the plumber had initially mentioned. I get that there are costs, but it seemed excessive.

They billed me for four hours, even though the job only took 2.5 hours. They also charged for the first 30 minutes, which should have brought it to three hours. On top of that, I had already purchased the sink, but they added nearly $150 in extra parts, which I thought were included in the original estimate.

They asked if they could come a day early, and I agreed. I asked them to text me before arriving, but instead, they showed up at 8 AM, waking up another tenant who’s a night-shift travel nurse. As the property owner, this was frustrating because it upset my tenant.

There was a part missing for the sink head, so the plumber had to leave to get it, even though the job still took under 2.5 hours. The sink looks fine, but when I called the office for clarification on the charges, things got more confusing. The initial estimate was around $300-500, but I ended up paying almost $800—double or triple the range I was expecting.

The person on the phone explained that I was being charged for the first visit and for the plumber driving out that morning, but it felt like she was just coming up with reasons to add more charges. I was originally calling just to get clarity, but the conversation felt defensive. I was also in a rush because they came a day early, so I just paid to avoid being late to my appointment. However, when I reviewed the invoice, there was a random $44 “miscellaneous” charge. What does that even mean? You already charged me double of what was quoted.

I wasn’t planning on leaving a review but got two email and text saying they want my feedback, but it’s frustrating when you expect to pay $400 and end up with a bill for nearly double with a lot of miscommunication. The front desk mentioned there’s a warranty, but the plumber told me the warranty doesn’t apply if I supply the parts—and I only provided the sink so that just sounds like a mess as well. Everything else came from them, so I was confused beside the sink and sink faucet.

Overall, the communication was off, and while I’m sure they do fine work, I would advise being cautious with their pricing. It felt all over the place, and there was a lot of misleading information about costs. I was excited about getting the new sink installed, but now I feel pretty indifferent. This is my third experience with a plumbing company, and I’m still searching for one that doesn’t overcharge or mislead their customers.

What a breath of fresh air! Gibson was amazing from start to finish. The office is responsive, the techs are skilled and communicative - and they get the job done well and in short order. Five stars and two thumbs up!

We called Gibson Plumbing for a free quote and they suggested we have someone come out soon thereafter. We notified them it was not an emergency and they said it was no problem as they already had someone in our neighborhood.

We had someone come to check out a leak and confirm the diagnosis we were already aware of. They were in my home for approx 90 seconds. They then proceeded to block the entrance to my door, and demand that we pay $195 for their gas/mileage fee. For what it’s worth, this “technician” made me feel extremely uncomfortable and not someone I would on other conditions welcome into my home.

UPDATE: not only did my bank help me dispute this charge, but they also made us aware that Gibson Plumbing forged my fiancés signature. They also keep saying they have a recording of our initial call, which we’d love to hear as we know exactly what was said, but they won’t release it.

I called Gibson after my contractor never returned to finish the job. I was blown away by how patient, proficient, and professional they were. I'm in Truckee, CA and so often I am excited when a contractor even takes the time to return my call, let alone show up or follow up. Gibson in on my spreadsheet of go-to/preferred plumbers now. This is my second time using Gibson Plumbing and Mechanical in a year’s time. I appreciate so very much the service Daniel provided in repairing a sensor in our furnace. It completely solved the problem of the pilot light repeatedly going out. I recommend this company to anyone who needs good decent help with issues in their home. The prices are fair and affordable. Zach and his crew were awesome to work with, they were able to schedule an evaluation, order parts, and install the new equipment in just a week. This was a whole furnace replacement, in a tight attic with little to no wiggle room. The office staff was polite and helpful with scheduling and billing. I have already recommended them to other family members and friends.

Rosa was a tremendous help immediately when I call. So very helpful. She was completely transparent about pricing for the simple job I needed help with. She was able to work me in the same day I called, which was amazing! The tech that arrived gave me plenty of notice so I could get across town - no 1-3 hour window - also amazing! He was courteous, polite, professional and was in and out in no time. Job done. I've never had a relationship with a plumbing company - now I do, and I'm so thrilled it's Gibson. I'll certainly recommend them to anybody that has a need!

Galen went and got the parts and returned the next morning 1st thing and fixed everything. He is a very nice and considerate tech.

Zach showed up on time and was both pleasant and extremely knowledgeable about my residential boiler. With a problematic and dated hydronic system, it’s a huge relief to have found a trustworthy technician with fair pricing. This company was AMAZING. We called them after a different company messed up our furnace and left us without heat for 5 days while denying responsibility. When I called Gibson, Cambria answered the phone and was beyond kind. I was in tears about the situation and she was patient and understanding. She worked with one of the owners to slide us into their slammed schedule the same day. They were responsive to both me and my husband in getting info beforehand so we could streamline the process. Zach Gibson himself came out on his way home to help us and fixed what the other company did. I can't recommend these guys enough!
