Reviews of local pros in Berlin, New Jersey

Great experience with Alpha Mechanical. Tom arrived promptly, diagnosed my thermostat problem, and fixed it in a professional manner. Would definitely call again for any of my air conditioning needs.

The entire team was amazing. They were here on time and did an amazing job. Each person who came through the house was respectful and responsible. They treated my wife and kids with respect, cleaned up after themselves each day, and did a thorough job. I couldn’t be more happy with product and installers!

Thanks to Alpha Mechanical Heating and Cooling, my HVAC unit gets to press on for another year! They came out Monday, had part by Thursday, installed on Friday! From Nicole in the office to Jim, Tom, and the rest of the technicians they employee, I have had nothing but excellent service from them. This is my first time dealing with this company and would recommend them to everyone. On time and if running late will notify you of any delays from other ongoing jobs. If you have a home warranty especially, ask for these guys by name!
Thanks again!

My wife and I have found Alpha Mechanical to be a reliable HVAC company that can be trusted for their ongoing services commitments. Since 2015, we have had the opportunity to witness Jim and Tom purposing our home's HVAC systems. We have been pleased with their professionalism, work quality, and timely follow-ups. We genuinely feel fortunate to have this local, family-owned contractor located within our community.

We had experiences with both Jim and Tom and they were extremely knowledgeable and professional. We would recommend Alpha Mechanical to anyone in need of their services. They left our home with the problem fixed and they cleaned up as if they were never here.

They installed furnace and hot water heater and extensive ducts throughout the house. The technican came promptly, and did an excellent job. Priced the job very reasonably. Very happy with their service and for the follow up. Nicole, who answers the phone is extremely helpful!

ONLY CALL THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT GREAT SERVICE! Unfortunately, we had to have our heater serviced several times during the winter. The tech was very timely, affordable and even a little funny! We will definitely be using this company for our heating and cooling needs!

We have used several Heating & Air Conditioning companies over the 30 plus years that we have owned our home, and I can say with all honesty that I would rate Alpha Mechanical 5 out of 5 stars, for service, professionalism, quality of service and equipment, and the technicians and installers who have worked on our heater and air conditioner, and price. They are the best. We have called Alpha Mechanical many times, in the past, to keep our old furnace & air conditioner going until we could afford to buy a new one. We have had our heater break down during the coldest days of the winter, and our air conditioner quit when the temperature was above 90, with the humidity just as high. I had called other companies, who replaced parts at a high cost$$$, only to have the same parts fail again a few weeks later. My husband called Alpha Mechanical and Jim McGonagle came out and fixed many issues with our heater and air conditioner, and at a lower cost than the others, and done right. We knew that our ancient Carrier Heater, and Lennox Air conditioning system needed to be replaced, and in September we called Alpha Mechanical, and Jim came out, assessed our heating and air conditioning needs, asked us questions, and answered our questions. Since we were going to do this, my husband did a lot of research and knowing that this would be something that we needed to have last, we wanted to not skimp. Jim suggested a Trane system, and we researched and found Train to be one of the most reliable brands. We added a couple of options, like the Trane CleanEffects Air Cleaner, and a Steam Humidifier, with this and the model heater and air conditioner we settled on we couldn't be more pleased. Alpha Mechanical helped us with rebates, financing, and sent his crews out to our home to clean our air ducts, remove our ancient heating and air conditioning system, and install our new system. Let me say this about the technicians and installers who came out to our home, they were courteous, respectful, professional in every way, and didn't mind my husband looking over their shoulders while they were working and asking them questions. LOL When they were done everything was cleaned up, they showed us the different features and how they worked. We immediately noticed a difference, a warm even temperature thought our home, our home did not feel dry anymore, and now over one month after the installation our gas bill is significantly lower. Yea!! Oh, and Alpha Mechanical has contacted us a few times since and asked us how things are going with our system, and if we had any questions to not hesitate and give them a call. So, if you are thinking of getting a new Heater or Air Conditioner, or need your current units services do not hesitate to call Alpha Mechanical Heating & Air Conditioning, in our opinion they are the BEST!!!

I've been using Alpha Mechanical for years now and have had nothing but a great experience. They have always come the same day I've made the appointment, when it's been an emergency. Any other ap Jimmy has always been professional and very knowledgeable about the products they use. Prices are great I've been happy with all my services provided.

Many years ago Alpha Mechanical converted my home heating system from a heat pump to a propane fired heater. This system has served us well. They recommended at the time to hold off on replacing our a/c compressor as it had more life to it. Turns out we got about 10 yrs more from the a/c unit. 2 years ago we had the a/c unit changed. Alpha once again came through any our system works great. These people are great and do neat work and good work. If you need HVAC work done, give them a call!

Jim and the whole Alpha Mechanical Team have surpassed our expectations. We use the for 5 of our properties and they have done everything from repairs to completely uninstalling and reinstalling our commercial rooftop units. They are prompt and on time always. They are professional and courteous. They cover all of our HVAC needs. Thank you Alpha!

I would highly recommend Alpha Mechanical for all HVAC services in both residential and commercial settings. My first encounter with Alpha Mechanical was last year after hearing about them through a coworker. My church was in need of an HVAC system, as Chairman of the Trustee Board it was my fiduciary duty to ensure that we had multiple quotes done and a full comparison of HVAC companies with regard to the years of experience, licensed and Insured, level of services rendered and proposed equipment to be installed. Hands down, Alpha Mechanical was the most experienced, providing the best equipment for the best price. They provide immediate responses and are very prompt and courteous with every visit. After the great work done at the church, I’ve been utilizing their services for maintenance and repairs at my home. People that know me, know that I am very particular. The level of expertise and prompt service that is provided with family owned business is unparalleled. I would recommend to anyone in a heart beat. You will not be disappointed.

Whenever I need some work done at the house Jim is my first and only phone call. These guys are top notch all the way around. Even if it's not HVAC related I still call Alpha to recommend whoever I may need. They had replaced my entire heating and a/c system in a day. Money well spent with Alpha.

We have been hiring Alpha Mechanical for over 14 years. Trustworthy up-front and friendly. Their prices are competitive and they are a family generation business. You won’t go wrong with this company!

Another year of outstanding service. Thank you for your honesty and integrity.

Service was A+ quality start to finish. Working in the construction industry, I would recommend Alpha Mechanical across the board.

I had my entire HVAC system overhauled. The crew that came out were on time, professional and a pleasure to work with. The quality of the work was excellent and they stayed to make sure that everything was working right before leaving. Any questions that I had were answered which included an in depth tutorial on how the new system operated which I very much appreciated. I plan to use them again for maintenance when the time comes. I highly recommend. Thanks guys!

They are Great!!! Jim was our repairman for our HVAC. Very pleasant as well as professional. He didn't make me feel dumb when explaining the work he'd performed. Nicole (the young lady who placed our appointment) is equally pleasant and professional answered. I was going to confirm our appointment the day before service and was Very surprised to see that a Text confirming said appointment was already in my inbox. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to my friends and neighbors...and have. AWESOME!!!
Thank You Much.
