I called Ron Jon for a service call as I had condensate flowing into the emergency pan and overflowing, resulting in drywall damage to my ceiling (unit in attic). The tech promptly came out and said that the air handler was likely damaged, potentially during install, and that the entire thing had to be replaced (system was only 3 years old). I then did a little research and learned that a clogged condensate line is a very common issue and after looking at the unit myself could see that the line was indeed clogged (this should have taken the tech about 5 minutes to diagnose). I reached out a couple of times via phone and email for Ron Jon to remediate and never heard back. After calling out another HVAC company the tech was able to identify and resolve the issue in about 30 minutes. While I'm not sure if Ron Jon techs work off commission, it sure felt that way when I was informed the fix was a full system replacement.

This was my first experience with an early season a/c system maintenance visit and it was outstanding! My technician, Tony, was thorough, so very helpful, informative, friendly and knowledgeable. He was very careful to protect my home from dirt/etc and was extremely patient answering questions. I highly recommend this offered service and Ron Jon as a company! Tony is a credit to the Ron Jon team!!

My central AC units needed their capacitor replaced.

The Service Technician, Juan, was on time, friendly and efficient. No complaints, highly recommended.

I expected the service call charge, $154.75; however, the upcharge for the capacitors was outrageous.

$195 for $20 -$30 part is ridiculous. Multiply that by 2, for two units, and I believe the cost charged is absurd. Almost $400 for two capacitors. I called the Ron-Jon office and their answer was that the $195 charge is what they get charged for the part. I find that hard to believe.

I have been a loyal Ron-Jon customer for well over 15-20 years, given this experience and what they charged for these replacement parts, I am no longer recommending them to family and friends nor will I use them again.

Ron Jon is the best. Our A/C unit died Sunday night and RJ sent a tech Monday afternoon. We needed a new A/C unit and they were at our house first thing Tuesday to replace it. The installation crew were very professional, friendly and efficient and finished the job by 1:30pm. We have been RJ customers for over 25 years and have always found them to be very responsive to our needs. No hesitation in recommending them to anyone who needs their services.

I recommend Ron Jon for both heating and A/C. We bought an older house and were aware of the limited life we had on the old systems. We started with the noisy clanking furnace after the first winter of uneven heat. We got three bids and decided to use Ron Jon for both their scheduling and pricing. Two summers later it was time to replace the A/C. Again, after three bids we used Ron Jon. On both occasions they were easy to schedule, prompt and efficient. The heating system has four zones which all work as designed and save energy as we have the coordinated thermostats shutting down parts of the house during times we do not use the rooms.
Both installations were done in one day each and the three-man crews were careful, clean and respectful. They do want you to use their annual service contract for inspection and maintenance for the warranty period so ask other bidders their policy if that concerns you.
I figure the contract is cheap insurance.

I had a great experience with Ron Jon Heating and Cooling when they replaced my AC system. They brought a full crew and were able to complete the entire job in a single day, which I really appreciated. The workers were respectful, polite, attentive, and careful throughout the process. They removed the old system, installed the new one cleanly and efficiently, and left everything in great shape.

I found their pricing to be very competitive and scheduling was smooth and responsive. When I had a small issue with the thermostat (possibly user error), they sent someone out on a Saturday to troubleshoot—during an incredibly hot weekend, no less. That kind of service and responsiveness really stood out and meant a lot.

Had a bad thermostat, called and they came within the hour. this was on a Saturday. I have been using Ron Jon for many many years, they are my one and only call for heating and cooling issues. Great service always and quality character ownership.

Very disappointing recent experiences. The first was regarding an ac unit that wasn’t cooling. The tech said “it was just too hot out” and that it couldn’t get 20* below the temperature outside. I’ve been in the house 9 years…never had an issue. Still charged me for the service. 3 days later I had to pay a different company for emergency service when the unit stopped working. Come to find out the capacitor needed to be replaced.

I had been a customer for years so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and scheduled my boiler service that winter. Tech spent 10 min looking at the boiler, did nothing, went out to his truck and talked on the phone then told me I need a new unit and gave me a quote after speaking to the office. Again charged me $230 for service not done. Had two other companies come out for quotes and tell me the boiler did not need to be replaced. When I wrote to the office they denied it, said the boiler needed to be replaced and refused to refund me for services not rendered bc the tech sat in his truck long enough to fool the office. Once again I had to pay another company to come out for maintenance of something I already paid Ron Jon for…

Buyer beware!!! First, the staff are very nice. That’s the end of the positive review. I was lied to regarding the services provided, and totally overcharged, and since they “serviced” my Navien tankless combo unit, and relocated piping, the pressure now runs high, tripping the release valve, and the hot water goes cold intermittently. Not sure of the cause, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. However, they said that they serviced the unit and gave me a list of all the things they supposedly did. The authorized Navien service guy today said there is no way it was serviced. There are only a couple of things you do, cleaning the filters is one, and flushing it with chemicals the other - they did NEITHER, but charged me for it. $1600 later, and I had to pay $2100 today to do what they said they did. Stay away.

Cannot recommend Ron Jon more highly. They have performed seasonal maintenance for us for many years. Always easy to schedule appointments, always come within the slotted time and always arrive in a professional and courteous manner.
In the past they have provided and installed furnaces and air conditioners. All done with the utmost care and reasonably priced.

Quick response & kept me well informed on technician's arrival time. A little pricing for a 24 minute evaluation & recommendation, but the technician was very knowledgeable, experienced and professional. Though, they would credit the payment towards a balance if I went with their services. Still highly recommend.

Todd and his team offer a great service. Diligent team members Tony and Raphael worked hard to get our system balanced and working well. Highly recommend these guys. Veronica in the office followed up multiple times to make sure everything was working well after our new install and relocating of two air compressors units. Great job.

During the most recent snow storm our furnace started acting strange. We called at 9pm at night for no other reason than to get in their queue for the next day. Their answering service was terrific and we received a phone call back from Ron Jon quickly giving us expectations about the next day as well as recommendations as to what we could do to keep some heat for the evening. It worked and they arrived the next day to check and fix our furnace with efficiency and friendliness. I would HIGHLY recommend them for all your needs.

Ron Jon has consistently shown above and beyond professionalism, expertise, and respect for all our services we've had them do. We had them replace our HVAC furnace last year and were so pleased with the service that when it was time to replace our water heater tank, we called them as well. Whether it be regular service appointments/tune ups we request or larger projects like the furnace and water heater tank, I have been pleased with the professionalism their team always displays. They always leave the work area cleaner than what it was before and are responsible in cleaning up any debris in the area. Their technicians are respectful and show a lot of care in the work they do. The work is clean and organized when looking at how they manage my multitude of water pipes in the utility room. For the water heater tank replacement, I did lots of research on types of water heater tank vs tankless and I was impressed with how patient the team was in answering my questions and being accomodating when I wanted a particular A.O. Smith water tank. Victoria helped handle the appointments that kept moving because of my work schedule and always followed up. It was clear that when Todd came for the assessment he was an expert on what to look for and we are so pleased with Ron Jon's team. Their prices were fair and reasonable. The technicians were thorough and did an amazing job. They were prompt to the appointment, laid down mats to not harm my floors, and were quite efficient! Quality craftsmanship and clearly experts in their field.

Ron Jon has replaced two furnaces and one A/C unit for us over the past 9 years. They are easy to work with, set clear expectations, are responsive, and follow up to ensure satisfaction. They are not the lowest price out there, but you get what you pay for. On our most recent install, the team noted two things that needed repair outside the scope of work and fixed them at no additional charge. When there was a question about sizing of a new furnace and code compliance, Todd came to the house to ensure we made the right choice the first time. The office staff is lovely and juggled their schedule to get the team on-site the following day so we could have heat asap. Every employee has been polite, clean (drop cloths and booties) and willing to satisfy my (admittedly high) standards.
