I schedule various jobs with A-1 he came out when he said he would and finished the entire job in one day. I would totally recommend him to anyone. I plan on having him do more work for me in the future. First time I had such a great job done. Thank you

Joe and Robert are awesome! Cleared the main line to my house within an hour. They were honest and didn't try to upsell anything. Dependable, honest and reliable and extremely knowledgeable. They don't charge extra for Saturdays! These guys should be your 1st call.

Very unethical company, they put a lien on my rentals house and there was no follow up letter or anything that was sent to my billing address or the rental house. I will not sue them ever again and won’t recommend to anyone in future.

The technician was very unprofessional and management was unsympathetic to my mother of 94 years
They knew they had to go through the roof but he did not bring long enough equipment so he called someone else to come out with proper equipment. Was charged for the wait time over $300. for a simple backup clog in the drain line. We have been using this company for years and now will never use them ever again.

After three visits from two other plumbing companies who couldn’t get the job done, within an hour, A-1 jetted the line, scoped it, and found that the line was OK. Don’t call a general plumber for sewer work, call A-1!

We've been happy with this company in the past but recently the plumber they sent was not prepared for the full job that we called them out for and no one has followed up. He finished half of the job and didn't fully finish the installation of the garbage disposal, causing a clog ad leak. When asked for someone to fix the unfinished work I was told it would take 4 days for someone to come out.

The guys were absolutely amazing. We had a shower drain backing up. They found it with minimal wall cutting. Even the hole was nicely done with an access panel for future easy access. The guys were polite and clean. Definitely the best plumbers we've ever had.

Patty( Pattie) was extremely professional and sweet on the phone. I called because our sewer alarm went off , and they scheduled a technician for me to make sure there wasn’t any other issues than from having it pumped. Ernest M was very professional, personable, honest , and thorough with his work. If it wasn’t for Ernest M we wouldn’t of known where our sewer clean out line is, which, he helped get it schedule to get it found on our property.
I also like that they work with American pumping and the service technician Damon that came out to pump our tank was in communication with Ernest M.
I highly recommend this company and would use them for all my septic needs of repair.

Juan was the technician who came to my house to diagnose and fix a clogged washer drainage problem.He was friendly , polite, very knowledgeable and professional. He explained everything to me and fixed the problem very quickly.

Like so many who've left reviews, sadly I must add my own extremely unfortunate experience. I was extremely over-charged. Because the technician arrived early, I was grossly overcharged by the company; they made me pay an extra $160 for the tech to drive back to albuquerque instead of waiting. When I called to request a refund management said that it was my fault for not contacting them right away.
As someone who know little about plumbing and business practices of plumbers, I felt that I had no choice regarding my bill. These people have violated my trust in the industry.
I implore anyone who reads this DO NOT TRUST A1 PLUMBING as they will rip you off by any means that they can.

2nd chance after the first awful experience. they were worse. They left me sitting waiting all day (with a scheduled appt) and when I called to ask where they were They said they couldnt make it today. the "manager" yelled at me and hung up. when I asked why I wasnt treated with more courtesy.

Recommended from another plumbing company when I had a toilet back up. They work on rooftop vents which I had. Ernesto did a great job with the service. Thank you!

Charged us $1,100 for an after-hours drain clearance, which I'd have been GLAD to pay if it had fixed the problem. We live in the middle of nowhere, these guys were recommended to us, and I very much appreciated A-1 being able to send somebody same-day.

While the plumber was working and having trouble clearing the drain, he said that if he couldn't get it clear, our next best option would be to demolish part of the bathroom and take a jackhammer to the foundation to snake the pipe - we were understandably shocked. That seemed like an awful extreme step... going straight from "I can't get the snake to go where I want" to "let's do structural damage to your house," but we assumed he knew what he was talking about because... he's the plumber, right? But I digress...

After another tense hour (3 total), he finally got the water to go down, we were super relieved, and he packed up to go. When the plumber left he didn't mention to us that his work had no warranty, or that the drain might require additional attention in the future - he said that it was clear, and we believed him.

Turns out, while he did get the water to go down, he obviously didn't clear the obstruction. It was right back to having trouble a week later - or at least it took us a week to notice, because we found out later that it takes nearly 15gal of water before the showers start to backfill. With all water-efficient fixtures, I guess there has to be a real confluence of water usage to cause a noticeable backup.

I called A-1 to ask if there was anything we could do, and the manager wouldn't return my call - instead, he sent the poor dispatcher to call and tell me, "nothing we can do, no warranty, too bad, folks."

So now we're going to have to get ANOTHER plumber to do the same job. EDIT: Second plumber spent 1.5 hours pulling additional items from the drain - see attached picture.

Don't go throwing good money after bad - find a company who takes pride in their work, and values the time and money of their customers. EDIT: At best this is professional negligence, and at worst it's fraud. Unbelievable laziness and complacency.

I highly recommend A-1 Plumbing. We have been experiencing major problems with the plumbing at our business for the past six months and have had another local well known plumbing company come out and attempt to correct the situation. Unfortunately, they would just come out and do a quick fix and charge their fee. Ernest with A-1 came out and worked very hard to find the problem. He was amazing! We also had to call him out today to fix a problem at a rental home. It took him a few minutes to fix the problem. Great job, Ernest! We definitely will use A-1 for all of our future plumbing needs. A-1 Plumbing is top notch...we had been experiencing an intermittent sewer smell at our house over the past couple weeks. On 3 different occasions we thought we had 'fixed/found' the problem, as the smell would disappear for 2 days. Then it would come back. A different company came to the house last week to do a smoke test to detect where there might be a leak. Let's just say that appointment was a waste of time. I first called A-1 to have our main drain cleaned, just in case that was the issue. Matt was great...punctual, friendly, polite, he encouraged my questions, even made some suggestions re: our sewer smell. Briefly my husband considered doing the smoke test himself, to save money, but we decided to have A-1 do it. First, their price was considerably less than other places I called (bonus!). I requested Matt, so he and his co-worker (I don't recall his name, started with a K) arrived on time and proceeded to do the smoke test. Fortunately the leak was detected immediately and it was in the attic crawl space, not anywhere inside the house, which was our biggest concern. The 2 guys fixed the leak then performed another smoke test to be sure the problem was resolved. Patty, in the office, was friendly and polite as well. Actually, everyone I spoke to on the phone was nice. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend A-1 to anyone who's having plumbing issues. We're incredibly relieved to have the sewer smell resolved. Thank you, A-1.

Had a plumber come yesterday and they charged me $200 just to tell me they couldn't unclog my kitchen sink. A-1 came today and in 20 minutes had my sink unclogged and charged me less than the previous day's plumber. Great customer service and very professional as well.

Richard is my hero! Just weeks short of going on sewer service, our septic pump died. We were quoted as much as $1200 to replace the pump. A1 had installed the pump in 2018 and quoted approx $750 to replace. Richard the plumber went and got us an even cheaper model he trusted more to fix us up. I could not be more pleased with the caring and professionalism they have shown in the 19 years we have been doing business with them.

I have had great experiences with this company for the last 3 years. I have had small jobs and big projects done. The small projects are done well, with quick turnaround time, and communication usually goes well. Communication is a little more broken up for big jobs, but not enough that I would knock a star. They do quality work and the technicians are always nice and helpful. I will continue to use them.

We had a french drain installed by A-1 in July of 2020. During the installation they inadvertently damaged our main line and we didn't know it until Sept. of 2022. It turns out that a tooth from the excavator punctured the top of the main line and it took that long for something to get caught on it, but it eventually backed up into the house. Once we discovered what the issue was, I called about having it serviced under warranty. Dave came out to assess the situation and when he saw the video he immediately owned the situation and said... "Yup, looks like we accidentally caught the pipe!" They had it repaired and we were back up and running within 2 days of the initial conversation. I really appreciate their honesty and commitment to getting the job done right, two qualities which feel harder to come by these days.

Everything is working great again!

Came home from weekend trip to find my plumbing system had backed up.. What a mess!! I contacted A-1 & was able to get service same day. The tech was very knowledgeable about my place, having serviced it in previous years. I had recently purchased the property.. The information was great info to have.. he explained in detail the process of correction and took care of the problem.. whew saved my day..!! Sorry i don't remember techs name.. He was professional and pleasant, & very knowledgeable about the plumbing systems.. Thank you!!

I went online to research companies that install swamp coolers.
A-1was listed in the top three for Albuquerque. I'd worked with them before and was very satisfied, both with the the cost and the work. but something seemed amiss this time around. I had called two other contractors. A-1 was the first scheduled for Monday morning, and because the tech a) was running very late and b) never bothered to call to let me know if and when he was coming one of the two had to be rescheduled. It wasn't just the tardiness that bothered me. When the tech showed up on the following day (again, running late), I doubt he was here even 20 minutes and he seemed in a hurry to leave. The only question he asked me was where the swamp cooler was. Never smiled, didn't seem terribly engaged. A week has gone by and I have yet to receive an estimate . . . which is fine, if the company doesn't need my business because they are that busy. I can say this: I will not be calling them again. How should I grade A-1? On returning calls and promptness, the best I can give them is a D. On cost? I'll never know. Never got an estimate. On PR? Nebulous. I WAS comfortable with the receptionist; not so much with the technician. Professionalism?? Hmmm . . . The guy took the measurements, said he'd call his boss, that was it. That combined with the fact that it seemed like a huge imposition for him to even show up and I wondered if he even liked his job, I have to give a flat out F.
