We had a main water line from the street to the house replaced. The Gustafson’s team was great! Mike responded quickly, came the ame day for an assessment and scheduled the repair quickly. The team arrived for the repairs on time. They were very professional and personable. I appreciated that they could communicate without profanity and get their work done efficiently. The whole team was friendly and thorough. I would definitely recommend them.

I have an antique claw foot tub with specialized hardware for the shower component. One of the faucets was very loose. I called Mike, who came highly recommended from a friend. When he came to evaluate the hardware- he was unsure whether parts were even available to repair the faucet. He removed the valve, took it to the office to evaluate part availability and was able to find a valve to repair it. The faucet is now secure. His service was prompt, and effective. Pricing was fair. I appreciated his honesty in part availability and was thrilled that more expensive repair was not needed.

We chose Gustafson’s for our furnace repair and we’re so glad we did! They were communicative, clear, and quick to respond. Mike, the owner, was open and helpful during the whole process. Ryan did our repair and did a wonderful job. We are so thankful for them helping to keep our family warm in these cold months. We would highly recommend them for their work and their excellent customer service.

I recently had Gustafson's over for a quote along with other reputable companies. And it was clear that Gustafson's would be doing the work. They all had great reviews to say the least. But the others had lots of charges for ridiculous things. No need to get into it. But I'm sure we all know what I'm talking about. I'm so happy that I went with my choice. I had a water heater and 2 toilets installed. A fair amount of work to say the least. All I can say is they crushed it! And it was great to see a young apprentice getting his knowledge in as well. I was able to have some conversations with these gents and I was impressed. Thank you boys for all your hard work, and keep going because you guys are the backbone of America. What would we do without you. I hope that this review at least gets you to call Gustafson's for a quote. I will not be working with anyone else ever again. Thanks to everyone at Gustafson's 🙏🏻

We are beyond grateful to Gustafson’s Heating and Cooling for providing our family with a furnace when we truly needed it. This company has hearts of gold, and Mike and Ryan went above and beyond to help us. Their kindness, compassion, and professionalism meant more to our family than words can express. The service was quick, the products are high quality, and the entire experience was nothing short of amazing. We are so blessed to have crossed paths with this company and will absolutely be using Gustafson’s Heating and Cooling in the future. Highly recommend!

Ryan and his team were great. I gave them a call with my concerns and they assessed the situation very promptly. I was able to work with Mike to come up with a new system that would fit my needs. Ryan and his team promptly came out and worked over several days to complete a reinstallation of my HVAC system and water heater. They went above and beyond to ensure that everything was running smoothly and that I had all the information I needed to register my products. I would highly recommend this company to anyone that is looking for detailed and quality work.

Due to allergies getting worse and constant maintenance, we decided to convert from evaporative cooler and gas furnace to a rooftop package unit with combined refrigerated air and gas furnace. Our swamp cooler was decades old and rusted out and leaky, and I had limped it along for several years, so I figured it was time. I read lots of reviews across Google, Yelp, nextdoor, etc., trying to make a list of the major players and the smaller family-owned or independent HVAC contractors. I tend to gravitate toward the smaller companies as communication and personal attention can be better, and the large companies need to book a lot of jobs to cover their overhead. Cost is not always cheaper going this route but I place a high value on quality of work and commitment to the work being performed. After reading online reviews for several months, I was able to find virtually no bad reviews or comments for Gustafsons, and a bunch of positive reviews, so I added them to my list for estimates.

When Mike came out for the estimate, he showed a lot of interest in our particular situation, which has the evap cooler alongside a boxed furnace on a flat roof. We went over options, made some measurements, and talked about motorcycles and various other topics.

I liked Mike's estimate and his system, which is very modern and prompt with email links and the ability to update the estimate quickly when I had questions. Mike also agreed to set up the electrical work with a contractor he trusts, so that was another thing I didn't have to worry about. This was important since we were also upgrading the amperage of our electric service for a number of reasons and the wiring for the package unit was part of that upgrade. Since our water heater was over 30 years old, we decided to replace that as well (more about that later).

The HVAC and electrical work were completed quickly and without drama -- maybe one advantage of getting work done in the off-season. There was a LOT of work, from ripping off the old units, building a curb to hold the package unit, getting wiring run, hiring a crane to get the new unit up on the roof, and I'm sure a thousand other details. The water heater was replaced a few days before the other work since it was independent of the HVAC work. All of the work was carefully done and high quality. They even came back a few days later and painted the rooftop duct work with a reflective paint to reduce solar heating.

We have been very happy with the new HVAC system and the smart thermostat that was installed with the system. Rooms that used to be quite cold in the winter when the rest of the house was warm are now toasty with the new furnace -- I guess the new furnace creates more airflow or pressure in the in-floor ducts and equalizes the temperature much better throughout the house. We tried the air conditioner briefly to verify that it works and sure enough it got cold very quickly in the house (this was in February), so we are looking forward to staying cool this summer.

The water heater was a bit of a surprise since they set it to 'A' (the lowest setting on the thermostat) before they left but said if we need it warmer just move it up to 'B' or higher. I was skeptical because the old one was set near its highest temperature and still didn't get quite as hot as I would like and the hottest water would run out fairly quickly. The new water heater provides a blissfully hot stream even on A and we haven't ever run out of hot water.

I really enjoyed working with Mike and have been very happy with the outcome. This package unit uses one of the new refrigerant types so I also wanted someone I can trust with maintenance as the new refrigerant is phased in over the next few years.

We were having issues with our washer draining into the wall and we wanted to get our plumbing and heating systems inspected since this was a new home purchase and we were skeptical of the condition. These guys were PHENOMENAL! They were timely, helpful, and extremely thorough. They found a gas leak coming from our furnace and immediately fixed it. They were polite and did not treat us like we were stupid which can be common among repairmen. I am thankful we found them.

I was having issues with my furnace, not starting. I made an appointment with Albuquerque plumbing heating and cooling, and they came the same day. Miguel was great!!!! He fixed the issue and checked for any future issues that may occur. I definitely will be recommending Albuquerque plumbing heating and cooling to friends and family..

These guys wanted almost 2000 dollars to fix a leaky faucet, install already purchased bathroom faucet, and repair the water turn offs. Their diagnostic fee was 113 dollars. That was ok...I figured it would go to the cost. Omg ... I had another plumber show in 15 minutes, fixed in less than 2 hours and charge me less than 375.00. The tech was Oscar. DONT CALL THEM EVER GOR ANYTHING!

Oscar C is an outstanding technician and was super considerate in his job as well as being punctual and professional. 10/10 would use his service again. I didn’t enjoy the AI system the company uses but aside from that, all my interactions with them were great as well.

After discussing options with Matthew, we decided to install a new water heater and comfort pump. He was able to get an install appointment very quickly! Bobby Johnson, the technician, was fantastic! He was on time and was very professional every step of the way! Thank you! We highly recommend this company!

There was major plumbing work done. Chase/Issac/Benito worked diligently, were informative, polite and respectful. Left work area clean. For the work done I have nothing to compare if it was over/under priced.

Your company is very professional and put your customer first. Juan Martinez was the service tech for both service calls. He is very professional, knowledgeable and a excellent rep for your company. Dom was great also(2nd call). Lakota(in the office) also made sure that I was a satisfied customer. Thanks.

Came the same day as my heater went out in a very timely manner. Miguel was very professional and informative. Kept me in the loop of what he was doing, what he found and what’s the best steps are. I will be recommending to all my family

This was one of the best experiences ive ever had with plumber. Richard Ysco did an amazing job fixing my shower . He was extreemly thorough covering all the possibilities and scenarios before the work got started , leaving no room for miscommunication and giving a complete understanding on what I should expect. Super satisfied with the work he did.

Richard was amazing coming out after 5pm to try and figure out why I could only get warm water instead of hot water. After some trouble shooting and a phone call I had hot water again. I am very pleased that he could come out on such short notice since I had called the office at 1:30pm. Richard was extremely professional and willing to answer all my questions. I won't hesitate to call the next time I have a plumbing need.

After review my invoice ($170) for the initial visit I do NOT agree this was money well spent. The tech spent most of his time trying to convince me I should abandon my boiler/radiant floor heat system and change to his recommendation (package unit or splitter heating systems. At the end of the day, the time the tech was here nothing was done with exception of trying to purge the system, which could not be purge because a bad part on the boiler, which tech failed to test properly. When he could not purge the system he immediately tried to tell me I had a leak in the copper tubing in the floor. Suggesting over time the copper tubing in the floor could develop leaks. Which BTW is highly unlikely.

Responsive good, nonrefundable visit cost: High, Analysis Flawed, solution options; 1) flush boiler/radiant floor system and replace/repair boiler parts, 2) abandon existing boiler system, replace w/mini splitter or packaged unit. Tech Suggested: due to water temp measure at gauge there was an issue with floor tubing, possible leak! Tech recommendation change out the entire system, Estimated cost $24,000+/- (both options), Flush option ~$4300. Customer conclusion; incorrect analysis lead to we should change out of entire system. Questionable honesty!

Alternate contractor completed work; boiler flush plus changed necessary parts, $1450. Customer conclusion; reliable, straight forward and honest!

Conclusion: ABQ Plumbing should reimburse me the initial $170 fee because of an incorrect assumption by the tech and incorrect analysis.

I will most definitely never call this ABQ Plumbing again to assist with my boiler or any other mechanical issues! I do NOT recommend this company to anyone needing mechanical support with their residence heating system.

Shane was awesome!! Really friendly and did excellent work. Very happy with everything he did. He put in a recirculation pump on the water heater for faster hot water throughout the entire house. Awesome. Placed new drains and p traps in 2 bathroom sinks. Thanks again Shane.

Pete cleaned the mini-splits and explained the four new maintenance contracts. He was thorough in his explanations, answered all my questions and helped me understand the differences among the four contracts for the most effective life of the mini-splits. I trusted Pete’s knowledge and liked the guy. 😃

James M. was cheerful and knowledgeable. He explained everything clearly and I was impressed with his expertise.
So glad we’ve found our new plumber!
