We’ve lived in the neighborhood for 25 years and have always appreciated and enjoyed supporting the local businesses.
Unfortunately this business overcharges. We recently bought a few flower plants to plant in pots on our balcony. We paid more than twice as much as we have at other places selling plants, like the hardware store or the farmer’s market.
As soon as we walked out, we looked at each other and decided we will not be back. Too bad because it is such a nice plant nursery. I guess they don’t want our business.

Gardel was super helpful and the prices weren’t that much higher than other places I checked out—in some cases lower, or the same for better quality flowers. Had a decent selection of discounted perennials (visited in September), that were trimming down in preparation for winter dormancy.

The store manager was extremely helpful with plant selection for my planters. Great, vibrant flower selections as well.

Went here to buy some new plants. Lots of plants but I didn't find the owner particularly helpful. He was reluctant to tell me plant names, if a plant needs more or less sunlight, etc. Totally annoying. In the end I got a cute plant that I will need to Google to figure out its needs.

Can’t beat Gardel’s for beautiful houseplants in Brooklyn. Gardel not only helped us find exactly the plants to fit the sunlight in the apartment, but helped teach us how to connect with the plants to learn how to best care for them. So happy we passed by today!

Our favorite spot in BK to get our plants, flowers, and Christmas trees. Gardel is a friendly and helpful guy and his place is a neighborhood institution.

The place was so pretty and I wanted to purchase some plants, but unfortunately my friend was in a rush and hurried me away before I could get a chance to speak with the owner. Maybe next time!

this is one of the best business in the usa

DBW or "Handy Man in New York City" sub contracts their work out to non skilled laborers whom are certainly unqualified to do ANY handyman work.

They cancelled appointments. They did no show up for appointments. They broke one of my light fixtures while attempting to install it. They did not replace the broken fixtures.

The operator, A.J., is incompetent. Their technicians left me with a comedy of errors and hundreds of dollars worth of damage.

Save yourself so much time, money and mental stability by staying away from this business.

Hernan and his team did an amazing job! They were thorough, polite, careful and knew what they were doing! I have an old, tall walnut tree that a different, unnamed arborist team last year quit trimming dead branches citing it was too dangerous. Urban Arborists did what looked very dangerous to me but didn’t quit till all the dead branches were trimmed. AND they cleaned up everything leaving my yard spotless. I’ll not try anyone else again. I found their prices competitive. Urban Arborists rule 👍

Professional pre-assessment, office admin to schedule, followed by the actual work. And meticulous clean up. First rate organization and team. Worked on neighbor’s tree than months later mine.

Third time in ten years we've used their services on our Brooklyn backyard tree. Never a problem. They know what they're doing. Absolute professional in every respect. Our tree never looked so good. Can't wait to do it again.

Excellent tree service. Did a much better job of pruning a huge maple a smaller hornbeam and Hinoki cypress than a previous avd more costly service. Highly recommend!

A highly professional company we have used for many years now. I would go nowhere else. Their staff is helpful and very knowledgeable, their work crews are doing amazing work and are a pleasure to work with.

They just did a risk assessment and major pruning on a very large maple in my brooklyn backyard. Quite a challenging job-tree about 45ft tall.
They did a terrific job tbh. Very professional service. Guys knew exactly what they were doing and they were careful with my garden vegetation and cleand up after themselves.. I could probably have got a slightly cheaper job with other companies but am very happy I went with Urban Arborists (2nd time-they did a pruning about 16 years ago)
