great experience with Ben and Brownstone Heating and AC. He was very responsive and made scheduling easy. My mini ductless system was in dire need of cleaning. Ben and his partner were prompt, professional, efficient and respectful of furnishings in the house. Most importantly they did a great job. The units are clean and ready for the summer season. I didn't realize the degree to which their efficiency was compromised by the build up of dirt and dust. The airflow is greatly improved. I will definitely work with Ben again. Highly recommend!

Excellent service in an urgent situation. My AC system stopped working just as a heat wave started. Ben picked up the phone when I called, gave me a realistic assessment of his availability, arrived when he said he would, was straightforward about the cost—and then did a tremendous job. A total pro, and a friendly guy, too. I strongly recommend contacting him if you need HVAC service.

Brownstone Heating & AC & Ben were great! We had some (overdue) maintenance needs, a unit that had stopped working, and a potential leak issue. Ben was very thorough, checked each unit, cleaned filters, and also checked the status of each of the outside units (despite the unpleasant temperatures). He also texted to let us know he was running late, which I always appreciate. Highly recommend!

I called Brownstone Heating for a second opinion after my heat stopped working during deep freeze temperatures. The first repair company wanted to charge a high price to dismantle and clean my entire existing 17-year old HVAC system (and more than double that amount to replace the whole system with new equipment). Ben came and though he agreed with the source of the problem, he offered a much better option-- for the same price, he installed a brand new furnace and motor, cleaned the other components that did not need to be repaired or replaced, and got my heat back up and running in one day. He was prompt, honest, reliable and communicative.

Ben was responsive, reliable, and gave me a competitive price. When I called, I didn’t have to go through any automated menus or AI or assistants—I went straight to Ben, we set up an appointment, and he was at my home within 3 hours. When he arrived, he worked quickly, efficiently, and thoroughly. My heater is working perfectly now and he provided all the options and quotes before he started any work to be transparent and informative. Can’t recommend him enough.

Even though my experience with him started off very good I was very disappointed at how it ended. I'm going to give a detailed review of how it went. I reached out to him and I explained how I was from a management company and I needed three separate units fixed. He gave me a price and without me asking he discounted it since I gave him three units. He requested payment up front before any services were rendered and I paid him. He was very accommodating with scheduling and came out right away. He came and spent some time fixing the units, probably three hours, and fixed them all. He then sent me an additional invoice because of the time he spent, it added up to around $1300 total and no parts were needed. After him explaining to me why I was being charged again I paid him in full all of his invoices. I did ask if he can do a little better with price and he said he couldn't. At this point, I was very happy with everything. Two days later I needed his services again. I reached out to him to see if he was available and he said he wasn't. When I asked him to call me if he had any cancellations he said he didn't want to work with me because I had asked for a better price after he performed services. I explained to him that since we manage over a hundred units I could use him a lot and that I would want a little better pricing which he wasn't interested in. I respected that and let it be. Then two days later, four days after the repair one of the units he fixed went bad. I reached out to him to see what he could do. He tried texting the tenant for troubleshooting with no luck. He said the unit was fine when he left and that I should find someone else if I wanted it fixed. This part really bothered me. He was already familiar with the situation and should have been more accommodating but he wasn't. Did he seem like he knew what he was doing I would say yes. But outside of that I would've expected a little more empathy towards the situation.

Ben was professional, efficient and reliable! My heat had been out for a week and my building management was unable to find a company with knowledge on the system - Until Ben! - he was prompt and diagnosed the issue immediately and he had it all back up and running perfectly in record timing. He even followed up to ensure it was still operating as it should. Definitely recommend for HVAC needs! Its tough to find honest and efficient companies and people but Ben truly shows up and delivers.
