Called Balkan on Sat. 7/8 after a competitor seemed to be impatient and upset with having to come to my house( looked in basement bathroom and angrily gave me $540.00 quote to snake line only. All else was extra. Never looked at anything else). No worries, he wont be called back.

Balkan sent Javed (professional, courteous, & pleasant) but as it was a weekend emergency call and my sewage trap was poorly obstructed he needed to call out a specialist. On Sun 7/9, George came on time, asked to see everything inside and out. Gave me quote, knocked out the job, and did so with a smile on his face.

George reminds me of my childhood, where "service with a smile" was the way business was done.

I had a major sewer backup in my home for a full week. I had four different plumbers/sewer companies come and attempt to snake it out, but none of them were able to do it. Someone recommended me George from Balkan Sewer. He came to my house and with his pressure machine cleared the blockage in about ten minutes. This review is written for Balkan the company but it is really about the amazing technician GEORGE who came to the rescue when we had trouble identifying where the trap was in our basement when it had been tiled over by the previous contractors. Without George’s expert analysis and professionalism I don’t know what we would have done. His passion and willingness to troubleshoot with us made the entire experience an actual joy (and I can’t believe I am writing that considering the sewage that was coming into our basement!)

I felt like we got the problem but more importantly George gave me an education about the plumbing in my property and I have always said that a day without learning something new is a wasted day. Hats off to you George and I will be recommending you to other landlords in my network and if I have a sewer problem in any other property Balkan is on Speed dial and I will be requesting George. Had a clogged sewer drain and upon calling to make a appointment, I received quick service to have a technician come to my home. I recommendation George as the technician plumber as he is very knowledgeable and knew what to do to get the job done. Went the extra mile to ensure the water flowed nice and clear to the main sewer line going out the house. Highly recommend.

Had a sewer backup which I figured was my main line so I looked around for a sewer cleaning company. I saw the $49 ads but also saw the overwhelming negative reviews for almost all of them so I looked past those companies. But after seeing the reviews for Balkan Sewer I decided to give them a call even though there wear not the cheapest.

I called Balkan and schedule an appointment and was given quotes for the different type of blockages. I was given a 4 hour window and about an hour before that window expired I was called by the technician. The technician showed up and his name was George. He took about 20 mins diagnosing the problem before he told me what the problem seems to be and verify cost. He was very professional and detailed and ended up clearing up the drain in about 15 mins. I haven't had a problem since. I would for sure use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

I called them Monday about 7 pm someone called back within an hour & told me they are on the way about 2 hrs time frame. Unbelievable to find it's a FREE service with suggestions but worth for me more then $2000 in saving because he gave his expertise to say all thing people will charge for it...but they didn't. Professionalism at the top of a kind. I tried to give them seven stars but it's only allowed me 5 stars. Very Very happy to find them.

I've had a chronic problem of drain clogs over the past year. The city has been doing work on my street where sand and other items are being pushed into my sewer and sanitary lines. I've called several $49.95 services but none of them have been able to help clear the clogged lines. They've brought their snakes only to tell me something has collapsed or I need to dig up my pipes to see whats wrong, one person told me I probably have a tree root. I got tired of paying 49.95 for services that didnt work, and decided to reach out to George at Balkan. I am so glad I did. His experience and patience alone was worth every penny. He cleared my sewer drain in less than 10 minutes!! I am not kidding, 10 minutes.. all the nasty water smell was finally gone. In addition, he went above and beyond to look at my other lines to ensure they were operating smoothly. I am so happy George was able to address my clog in a professional manner. 10 stars!

I called Balkan Sewer & Drain Cleaning because I had a clogged sewer line in a 6 Family building in Long Island City. They sent Chris the next day and although it was an extremely stubborn grease clog- the grease had hardened into a brick! -, he was persistent and kept at it until he cleared the entire line - which was about 50 feet inside the house and another 20 feet from the main trap inside the house to the main sewer line in the street. Chris was extremely pleasant and professional throughout his visit. . . . due to this very positive 'first' experience with Balkan, I contacted them again when I had a clogged sewer line in a single family rental property. This time they sent George, who brought a lot of experience to the job. He was able to unclog the interior sewer line relatively quickly - which was clogged due to the tenant's throwing baby wipes and paper towels down the toilet, but then the tenant pointed out that the exterior drain located immediately behind the house was also clogged. It took George an extra hour to clear that drain of the mud and gravel that had collected there. George is always prepared for any kind of situation. He will not leave the job-site until the sewer line is cleared and functional. He comes with all of the equipment needed to do the job on the first visit - he even had back-up equipment on his truck just in case something unexpected occurs - that is Experience at Work. You can be assured when George answers the call, the job will always get done! Do not hesitate to call Balkan when you need a credible, qualified, honest company to take care of your sewer and drain issues. I would not call anyone else!
