My experience with Collins Electrical was excellent! I needed power run 150’ from my house out to my new shed for woodworking and lighting. Mitch recommended two 20amp circuits after understanding my goals. Communication was clear and quick and the team was done in about 6 hours! They dug a trench, tapped into my breaker panel, ran all the wiring for the shed, gave me plenty of outlets, easy plugs for overhead shop lights, and a switch near the door. Everything was flawless from start to finish. My wife and I felt the price was fair, but Mitch made it feel worth every penny by being kind, approachable, friendly, passionate, and knowledgable. I’m extremely happy with the outcome and my experience, so I’d highly recommend Collins Electrical for all your electric needs!

I recently hired Collins Electric to upgrade my electrical panel, and I’m thrilled with the entire experience. From the moment I called, Mitch provided me with a quick and accurate estimate. He was always responsive to my questions and promptly scheduled the job over the phone. Throughout the process, Mitch kept me informed and made sure everything went smoothly. On the day of the work, a team of electricians arrived on time and were incredibly friendly, respectful, and hardworking. In my thirty plus years of home ownership, I’ve never come across a contractor as professional as Collins Electric. They truly exceeded my expectations!

Good guys. Came by right away to help us diagnose an old, faulty circuit box. Very clear about what was needed. Very reasonable price and excellent service for the actual job. They brought by a whole team and had the service swapped out completely well under the initial time I was quoted despite needing to diagnose some nuisance tripping with the new service. I highly recommend.

This crew is genuine, knowledgeable, competent, punctual, thorough, polite and

I have never felt I was up sold, just informed in layman’s terms of all options. Martin and Dave were great. Figured out the issues and fixed one them immediately. The other will take more effort. Also they explained what they found and did while doing it. I actually have them working out some quotes to fix my lighting issues in my dining room as well.

We recently purchased an EV and needed an L2 charger. Mitch patiently explained our options, including things I hadn’t considered. His professional crew very quickly and expertly installed our charger, leaving our garage clean. Would highly recommend Collins Electrical. We have had them do other jobs at our house and have always been highly satisfied!

We contacted Tom after we noticed lights flickering throughout the house, with no rhyme or reason. He came out same day and ran diagnostics on our electrical panel and our major appliances. After finding no issues (of course the lights didn't flicker once when he was there!!), he recommended calling RG&E as it may be an outside connectivity issue. We were also recommended to monitor if this happens during rain or wind storms, etc. Sure enough, RG&E came out and noticed a bad connector and the wind made it worse.

Fantastic to work with! Reliable and greatly priced! Will definitely be using him again!

Our driveway is badly in need of replacement, and before the old one gets torn up and a new one put down we needed to run power and water to two outbuildings (small barn and a small greenhouse). With only 2 weeks notice, Tom re-arranged his schedule to fit us in and coordinated with our plumber and backhoe guy to have the trenching, electric and plumbing handled at the same time.

Tom's work was flawless (in fact, the whole project went off without a hitch for once), running underground conduit to our barn, installing a breaker panel there, and running from there to the greenhouse (where there are now two "outdoor" duplex outlets, one inside and one outside).

We have been searching for nearly two years for a solid, reputable electrician who has an amazing attitude and focuses on doing the job right the first time - and we've finally found him in Tom. We're constantly remodeling (at least it seems to be constant), and plan on having Tom come to visit frequently. Highly recommended.

Tom replaced my breaker box and gave me an amp upgrade and did a phenomenal job! He was able to come out and do the work in a timely manner and was very communicative in his process. Definitely recommend for your electrical needs!

We wanted to add two new reviews for both Ben & Luke.

Ben came to install a ring doorbell and other camera and lights on the exterior of our house. Ben was very prompt and knowledgeable about the products he was installing. He even offered to bring us coffee prior to his arrival! Like Dustin, Ben was very friendly and answered all of our questions. The installation was excellent and we are happy with our new equipment and outdoor lighting.

Since we've had so much luck with some of the electric work we've had done, we decided to try out the plumbing side of the business. With the holidays so close we weren't sure whether or not we'd be able to have the work completed, but within a day of calling about a toilet leak we were having, Nichols was able to schedule us for the following day. Luke, who again was very timely, friendly, and knowledgeable about the job, was able to fix the leak from both the toilet and the drip from the bathroom sink. He discovered that there was also a leak from a pipe behind the vanity and was able to replace the leaking pipe as well. Luke did a great job with a quick fix and even vacuumed up the mess before leaving. He was able to answer all of our questions and left us feeling confident that we would not have to worry about any more leaks especially over the holidays! We are very happy with the services we have received thus far and will definitely be in touch for future jobs we might need for both our electric and plumbing. We appreciate the excellent customer service and the good work of your team!

Service technician Matt, who did the work on my home, was knowledgeable and courteous. He communicated very well and promptly arrived at the agreed-upon time.
No work was performed until he explained both the work and the price.
I've an older home, but Matt didn't seem thrown at all and knew exactly what to do. He described the guaranteed work before he left.

10/10 experience with this company and highly recommend. I met with 4 different electrical companies and from the moment Caleb came over, I knew Nichols was our choice! Caleb was thorough, professional, and friendly. He gave me advice and options for our job. Nate and Josiah came over today to perform a full service upgrade including new panel, wiring outside and some outlet fixes inside which took them nearly 9 hours. They both were very professional and the work looks amazing, and most importantly, safe! We look forward to working with Nichols for our future electrical and plumbing jobs.
