Two months ago my mom was diagnosed with brain cancer. We had to move her into our home. We had to create a bathroom that wasn't there before for her for when she gets to the point of needing a wheelchair as she is currently using a walker. 2 months ago we order a tub shower combo for her. We waited 4 weeks for it to come in. When it arrived, it was shattered. We were told they didn't have any more in stock of that particular tub, but could order another one that is similar but we would have to wait another 3 weeks. We agreed for the other tub to be ordered. When it came in, they tried charging extra because this one had other things attached to it. We told them no you will not charge extra as you already took our money, delivered a broken tub, and didn't have another one that we ordered available. Next thing we know, while the delivery truck was in route to our home, it broke down. They called to notify us that because of this, they wouldn't get it to our home for another week! I called the Rochester branch and informed them that thus is not my problem, it's yours and you already delivered a broken tub, my mom has cancer, is starting chemo and radiation and doesn't need to be in an environment that is full of construction due to their first failure of delivering a broken tub and this needs to be fixed now! Scott was the only one who would be willing to work with me and thankfully the tub was delivered the next morning. But it gets better! My fiance ordered some electrical supplies for the bathroom, and the next day when he went to pick them up from the Holley branch, he was told that Jake wouldn't allow the items to go because they weren't placed as an order! HE ORDERED THEM FROM HOLLEY AND HOLLEY NEEDED THEM AND JAKE REFUSED TO PLACE THEM ON THE TRANSFER TRUCK! Yet again setting us back!!! So now my mom is moving in to my home this coming Sunday because her home is sold, and she's moving into a construction zone that should have been done a month ago because this company doesn't know what they're doing! I highly recommend that you stay away from this company. They lack communication, professionalism, and customer service! They'll tell you that something is in stock, you go there and there's NOTHING THERE! If you use this company, good luck!

A go-to place for that item the big box stores don't carry. I recently made a purchase under 5 dollars and the staff treated me like a million bucks. Counter employees were personable and knowledgeable. One guy appears to be the sage of the business; he was drawing odd part numbers out of his head. Glad my contractor turned me on to this place.

Absolutely awful! There must be a reason why the person at the reception desk is different every other month. Zero communication between departments and worse communication with clients and sub contractors. They refuse to take phone calls when they know you're displeased. Don't waste your energy, they can sell but they can't do anything after that.

Two weeks after my review, ypu leave a blanket response to contact Jeff R. And he isn't in the office until the end of this week. If your receptionist wonders about people's tone, she should listen to hers when she speaks. Telling me to call to resolve issues KNOWING the person won't be in the office is further POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

The poor treatment, poor follow through and working with VP has made me hate building the dream house that took us decades to design.

So every time I've been here the plumbing counter is constantly under-manned. Electrical counter fully staffed HVAC counter fully staffed staff walking around the lobby. The plumbing counter is horrible , twice they paid someone to come help and no one ever showed up. Complete waste of time waited in line longer than it took me to drive there from Penfield. Waited 25 minutes online ask twice for anyone to come help no one ever showed up I'm not risking it anymore for now on I'll just go to Lowe's congratulations

I think its generally a good place for contractors who order online or through a sales rep but ive been stopping here at the Rochester location periodically for over a decade and id say that 90% of the time its a bad experience when stopping in for a quick part. I usually have to wait for a fairly long time (think 10-20 mins!) before im even acknowledged by counter sales. Im sure that they make no money off people just buying one part at a time but its still really frustrating when trying to get something that i need to complete a job.

This place is awesome and had just what I needed. Staff we polite, helpful and repectful. I am thankfull that a collegue told me about this place. Now I can get my furnace running correctly. Thank you VP Supplies

Horrible customer service from the young guy at the HVAC desk the other day. I went into pick up a product for a job & was told I cannot buy that specific product I needed even though they had it in stock. He stated if I wanted this specific product I needed to get it from another company because apparently he knows more about my job than I do. I went to IRR supply for my purchase instead & had a great experience with them. The last few times I’ve been to this location, the staff appears to be irritated and in a hurry to get you away from the desk.

After reading so many poor reviews, I had to share my experience. I worked with Jack Mass to remodel my kitchen, in 2020 right in the middle of the pandemic. He was very busy and sometimes difficult to get in touch with by phone, but always returned emails within 48 hours. His design was amazing - the kitchen turned out better than I could have imagined, his timeline was realistic and his suggestions appreciated. The quality of my cabinets, countertop and fixtures is better than you would get at a big box store. I would not hesitate to recommend VP supply, based on my experience.

The entire customer experience was amazing from start to finish. The staff was very well trained and knowledgeable with their products and installation requirements. They didn't try to push us into buying a thankless system like other businesses in the area had done. Instead they helped us make a choice that best fit our family's needs and budget. They were courteous and friendly, making sure they left very minimal mess behind and communicated with me along the way. I'm very pleased and will definitely be using them again for all of our plumbing, heating & cooling needs.

We came home from vacation to our bathroom and kitchen sink clogged. American Plumbing saved the day. First we spoke with Mike late at night when we discovered the issue. He gave us great information quickly and efficiently! We decided it could wait until business hours, so Mike put us on the schedule for first thing the next day. Nick came out first thing in the morning and provided the service. He was very informative and got the job done very quickly! We could not be happier with the service!

Words cannot express my gratitude towards to Michael and Justin. I had blockage main drain. Backed up. Had another company start but they never could not fix it and really didn’t try very hard. These men didn’t stop till they resolved the problem. Very knowledgeable and explained every step. People don’t ever use another company. American has it all. Have you ever been that woman calling a company and feeling like you are in a used car dealership discussion? THAT IS NOT the case w/ American Plumbing. I haven't been this thrilled with a job in a very long time. Not only was Jack professional and "loves" German Shepherds......he was utterly amazing!!!

This was the best experience I have ever had with a contractor of any sort. American Plumbing was professional, courteous, fair, and beyond knowledgeable. The technicians explained everything they were doing so that I would completely understand the process. They repiped 8 of my pedicure chairs so that they would drain far more quickly and effectively. They came up with a plan, gave me a great estimate, and executed the plan impeccably all the while being completely professional and kind. They cleaned up everything to the point I didn’t have to do anything after they left. Please call them. They are awesome. I will always recommend them to anyone who asks and they will always be the plumber of my choice in the future.

Jack Mcdermott was the best plumber I have ever had do work for me in my 75 years. He was polite and efficient. it usually takes a plumber 4-5 hours to unclog the drain. Jack took only two hours and did a much better job than anyone else. I highly recommend American Plumbing.

The tech Michael Hosey was great! The only problem was he didn't have a long enough drain snake to clear my stoppage and had to come back the next day to clear it. I think management should make sure that the field techs have everything they need for the job readily available.
Michael was polite, efficient and knowledgeable. Your company is fortunate to have such an excellent service tech!

For sure a 5 star rating --- I will start by saying unfortunately I normally do not find time to write reviews of work that has been done over the years on my 1820s landmark home but felt compelled to write a review on American Plumbing-Heating and Cooling who did an extensive pluming pipe replacement in our home. I had contacted several companies prior to selecting American but due to no follow up by several companies or representatives sent looked like they had no idea how to approach the job. The job included replacing hot and cold water piping and a 4-inch cast iron drain pipes through 3 levels, and replacing sink and tub drains in a cemented second floor bathroom. Eric the project manager came to meet with me and immediately I knew they were the right ones since he knew exactly what to do and more the ever knew how they were going to do the major repairs. They were quick to get started to do the job and also quick on how to do major hidden changes that they ran in to. Although there was 4 of 5 different persons assigned to work on the job over a weeks period 2 every day individuals Manny and Zeus were the two employees who had the job responsibility. They worked together well every minute of the day and had me as the customer in mind. They looked for the right way to do every step of the project to minimize the later restoration of the rooms, ceiling and walls. In summary they did their job like it was going to be showcased in some television program--- in summary I am one happy customer on the detail that was given to my plumbing repairs

The company is great. Was able to come out same day. Jack was informative and quick to let me know my issues and what needed to be done. I would definitely call them again for any of my plumbing problems
