I'm so thankful to have found Carolina Water Damage Restoration - I had a major flood in my basement and was so overwhelmed and upset. They quickly came in (that same night!), assessed what would need to be done, gave a quick and accurate quote, and had everything cleaned up and done the next day. He was even super friendly with my kids and dog and it was truly a great experience all around - I can't believe what started as one of the worst days of home-ownership thus far turned out so well. Highly recommend!

I reached out to CWDR to help with a water leak and suspected mold growth as my breathing was being affected. They were super responsive and came out that day to do an inspection. They then began the mold mitigation process and were excellent at communicating with me on what to expect the entire process as well as the timelines necessary to get job done. They did a beautiful job of eliminating the mold, as well replacing the trim and the flooring. They even made sure the furniture and other items were back where I left them before the project. Would highly recommend!

When water damage occurs and the source and extent are unknown, immediate investigation and repair are a necessity - Carolina Water Damage Restoration of Charlotte was promptly on top of both when we experienced a water pipe blockage and overflow damage. When I noticed water damage in our second floor laundry room and first floor kitchen ceiling, I knew I needed assistance quickly. I called three companies in the area - two of which required me to leave voicemails (and to this day, I still have not received a call back), but Jake at CWDR answered on my first call and had us scheduled for an assessment the next morning. The assessment was thorough, the remediation was complete, and the repairs made the affected areas look like new - all performed within a short and reasonable time period. Jake's assessment was sufficiently thorough that our home insurance company fully covered the damage without questioning the assessment or estimate. I have now recommended CWDR to several neighbors and have CWDR on speed dial for any future needs.

My office space had a couple inches of standing water from a leak in my neighbor's suite. I called Carolina Water Damage Restoration of Charlotte, and Jake was on site in under an hour. He was able to get my entire suite bone dry, inspected for damage, even made the necessary repairs. He handled everything very professionally and super easy in case an insurance claim needed to be filed. I hardly leave reviews, but I was so pleased I took the time to let others know you can count on Jake to get the job done!

Craig, Brandon & Kam are a dedicated TEAM. They made a terrible unexpected situation much better. After a massive 3 story water leak they made sure we could still live in our home! They kept their work area clean, worked efficiently and communicated every step.

I would like to thank ERX for the fantastic job they done on my house. Evan and his crew basically gave me a brand new house. Honestly I got more than what I expected. Also I would like to thank Arnissa the office manager for her communication with me on getting my house done in a timely fashion. You guys are the best.

I contacted ERX to repair a roof leak that ruined my bathroom ceiling. The mitigation team of Josh, Jesi, and John did a great job on the removal of the damaged material and mold containment. The repair team of Kyle (Project Manager) and Glen (Repair Specialist) took care of putting everything back together.

Everyone associated with this project was professional, polite, knowledgeable and on time. I was consistently updated throughout the project and the results exceeded my expectations. Based on this experience I would strongly recommend ERX!

Glenn Hull did an exceptional job repairing the damage to our home due to a water pipe bursting. It required extensive work. Glenn did a great professional job for us and we would recommend him to anyone who needs repair work. He was friendly and professional and did not waste any time getting the work done. We really appreciated him.

My upstairs neighbor’s dishwasher flooded and leaked into my condo. Kam & Craig were the techs that came out to assess and handle the damage. They were kind, informative, professional and worked efficiently—which was the only bright side to having a hole in my ceiling. Highly recommend.

Kam, Austin and Chris did a great job of demoing my flooded basement and drying it out. They had great communication and contacted me with any updates. I am happy with their service and would recommend highly them.

ERX assigned a technician to our home in Hickory to deal with water damage. Drying the flooded area & removing bathroom tile, vanity & other damaged material was required. Our technician, Victor, was there 3-4 weeks off & on as required. Several of our immediate family members met with Victor over this time period. We ALL were impressed. Victor was an excellent communicator, letting us know when he would arrive, schedule info. He went above & beyond to point out problems that were looming in future if we did not have repaired. This was separate from original cause of water leak. Victor was always professional, on time, and completely trust worthy. Majority of his work was without our family being onsite. We have been impressed. Thank you ERX & Victor.

Normally I wait before I give a review, but I hope this will help someone else that may need restoration service by this company, I was referred by a plumber, due to water damage in our home, since this was the 1st time this ever happening to our home, we didn’t know who was good or bad, . They are still working in my home it has been over a month, the painting was un professional, the ceiling is still damage in which that was the main area that needed restored, they have tried to fix it 5 times and failed each time , We were told to sign over our insurance checks up front before they started the project, I really thought that was the correct way , so we were taken advantage of from the very beginning. We are senior citizens, and I believe that has a role in them taking advantage of us too. They are telling us now after they have requested additional money from my insurance company several times, they can’t come back and finish the job until May 12, 2025. It is very limited what we can do in our home at this time, due to their unprofessionalism and not completing the work professionally and in a timely manner. We have been extremely patient and courteous to this company , but now we are not receiving the same treatment, mind you they have already been paid for work that they have not completed. I don’t like writing these type of reviews, but this is a warning , please do your research and get an attorney to look over your contract, and don’t pay in advance, until the work is completed and finish correctly..

**EDIT in response to owner review response - The claim that we needed "help picking out countertops" is inaccurate when our countertops weren't damaged. There are photos in my husband's review that even show the countertops being salvaged and a comment about how the large quartz island slipped into the island framing and could have injured our small children. The fact you even bring that up shows how poorly this job was handled from the start and how disconnected your reply is from reality. You're saying contract wasn't signed, yet you till cashed our insurance check. Your response continues to dodge responsibility while trying to shift blame to your clients & I see that is a pattern in many of the 1-star reviews.**

As a seasoned real estate professional who regularly works with contractors and various companies, I’ve never experienced anything as shockingly unprofessional and outright negligent as ERX.

They’ve strung us along for 5 weeks now after a large kitchen leak, cashed our insurance check, and did nothing but leave our home in worse condition than when they arrived. No real work has been done. No clear communication. No plan. What they did leave behind was a complete disaster: a half-demoed kitchen, exposed electrical/plumbing, a LARGE quartz slab dangerously leaning on a dismantled island frame, and our kitchen in random piles throughout our main level. It’s unsafe. It’s unlivable. And it’s unacceptable.

As a real estate agent, I’ve seen bad work - but this wasn’t just poor execution, this was complete mismanagement and disregard for the homeowner/their clients. They took our money (and now saying we won’t get a refund for 3 weeks), wasted 5 weeks of our time, and left our family of four, including two small children, without a kitchen for weeks without care.

If you’re reading this and considering ERX, do yourself a favor and RUN - don’t just walk - away. I would never recommend a client hire them. This experience was not only unprofessional - it was infuriating, costly, and dangerous for our babies.

The folks at ERX were amazing! My project manager, Duncan, was the best. He never abandoned me, even through a protracted fight with the insurance company. He was always responsive and went above and beyond. He did extra little things that made the whole ordeal as good as possible. I have nothing but high praise for ERX and for Duncan.

First up, the project Mgr assigned to my case, Dylan Sherwood. I could not have gotten a better individual. Dylan was diligent and expertitious throughout the entire process. He showed total concern and always let me what was going on. He always answered his phone or text me right away. - I loved that! He was kind and always listened to my concerns and dealt with them accordingly. He exercised such patience with me, always respectful and gentle, never made me feel I was a bother.- I appreciated that so much.
Secondly, I was extremely impressed with the content crew. Jennifer and her crew did an excellent job of packing and unpacking my belongings. They showed care and concern and respect for my stuff.
Last but not least a worker named Valerie.I call her my angel. Always so helpful whenever I called.She would lead my in the right direction and always followed up. Never left my hanging. I'm saying 'thank you' ERX for making my six month disaster less stressful.

I very pleased with the service, Mr Dylan was very professional, helpful and polite, the worker were also professional as well, Mr Dylan made sure I was satisfied with the work and each time I had a concern, he always got back with me at a timely manner. Thank you.
