Well, what can I say about a few good men. They were professionals from day one. Even at the end of installing a 10x30 stamp deck project my thoughts about Ivy Creek Landscaping company was exactly the same. From start to finish skilled contractors with a heart to do the job and how the finished job looked to me as a customer. Brandon you are the best communicator in business always on top and ahead of what mattered to me as a paying person, like the trees. See you guys next year for the next project at The Cannon Estate, Blessings

I would not recommend Ivy Creek to anyone. What was supposed to be a three-month project turned into a seven-month ordeal, and we ultimately had to hire someone else to fix their mistakes and finish the job. The project management was poor at best—there were extended periods when no one showed up, and when the project manager did appear, he was often only there for 10 minutes and then wouldn’t return for days.
During his absence, countless mistakes were made, and we were left to deal with the consequences. Thankfully, we hired an additional manager to help coordinate the project and address the issues caused by Ivy Creek’s workers. Communication was also a major issue: when I asked for a timeline or project updates, I received no response from Brandon. His lack of attention to the project and disregard for the ongoing mistakes was incredibly frustrating.
To make matters worse, their workers regularly left our neighbors' yard in a mess and never cleaned up after themselves. I typically prefer to leave positive reviews, but after this experience, I feel compelled to warn others. It seems as though Ivy Creek invests heavily in marketing to create the illusion of professionalism, leaving very little for actual service and quality.
My advice to anyone considering this company: don’t do it. Save yourself the headache and frustration.

Ivy Creek Landscapes was spot on with scheduling and installation. Our multi-million - States Employment Credit Union landscaping was beyond reproach and highly recommended.

I'm very pleased with my experience with the Ivy Creek gang. I had them build a retaining wall for a sloping hill near my house and fill in a walkway with 2.5 tons of pebbles. Correspondence was prompt. The crew was professional. The job was completed in two days. I'll keep these guys in mind for my future projects.

DO NOT HIRE IVY CREEK LANDSCAPING

We retained Ivy creek in early 2024 for a large, very custom backyard project. The sales pitch from Brandon (owner) was convincing: Ivy Creek supposedly had the experience, team and passion to create a one of a kind project. Everything went down hill soon after; our experience was as follows:

    1. Misrepresentation of the Company: Brandon assured us that most of the work would be done in-house, a factor that was a large reason we chose Ivy over a cheaper competing bid. This could not have been further from the truth. Every major aspect of the project - grading, retaining wall, deck, landscaping and masonry work were all done by sub contractors. Ivy Creek’s “team” appears to be nothing more than Brandon, a few project managers and someone who takes project pictures for their social media. Everything else is outsourced. In short, we were flat out lied to at the very beginning

    2. Lack of on-site presence. For a project of our scale, we expected a consistent crew on site daily. Instead, days would go by with nobody on site with no explanation. Our project manager, Martin, was hardly ever on site. The two days (in 7 months) that 5+ workers were on site, the social media person was there in tow, taking pictures and videos for marketing purposes.

    3. Poor communication: project deadlines were never established. deliverables were rarely defined despite us REPEATEDLY asking for clarity. Weekly plans were inconsistent or nonexistent. Brandon never once reached out to address our concerns, even as our frustration grew. The only time we heard from him was when he wanted an invoice paid or when he complained that our architect—who, thankfully, kept Ivy Creek accountable—was being “difficult.”

    4. Lack of project ownership: For a project of this magnitude, we expected collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving. Ivy Creek delivered none of that. They offered zero innovative ideas, took no ownership, and consistently deflected blame. Every issue was met with excuses: “That’s not in the contract,” “That’s your architect’s fault,” or “we’re not doing that.” This was not a company invested in our project—only in their margins.

    5. Poor customer service: At one point during the project, Martin took a week off for his honeymoon. During that time, another project manager, Angelo, took over as PM. Angelo was communicative, reliable, and genuinely cared about our satisfaction. For the first time, we felt someone was invested in delivering a successful project. We were so impressed that we requested Angelo be our full-time PM, and Brandon agreed. However, as soon as Martin returned, Angelo disappeared without explanation. Despite Brandon’s promises, we never heard from Angelo again.

After 7 months of frustration, we fired Ivy Creek. The final straw was them refusing to till an area of ground that had been driven over countless times by heavy machinery prior to planting thousands of dollars of plants in the exact area. The exact response to our simple request was “where in the quote does it say a single word about tilling?” That level of disregard for quality and customer satisfaction was the breaking point.

Overall, just a very bad experience with what should have been a fun, creative and collaborative project.

As a side note, we believe a considerable number of Ivy Creek’s google reviews are fake. Most 5-star reviews are incredibly vague and are posted so often that the company is seemingly completing multiple projects a week which, based on our own experience, is impossible to believe. Please beware of this company.

    UPDATE:
Since kicking Ivy Creek off the project, the following issues have been identified and unfortunately required more money to fix:
    - Outdoor electrical outlets stopped working
    - tree lights stopped working
    - concrete poured a month ago has already cracked
    - irrigation lines completely destroyed by lack of care

I am a home builder. Ivy Creek pools did a pool on a townhouse that I had built. At first I was weary because the homeowner picked the pool company and I was working with guys I’ve never met before. This was a complicated situation with trying to build a pool with limited access in a townhouse community. Martin was my PM and he was very good about always answering the phone. We did come across quite a few hiccups, but mainly because the homeowner had changes throughout the process and it was quite confusing as to whether I was the client or he was. In the end, we got it done and the closing happened. I can see the homeowner has left a very positive review as well which makes me happy since he was my buyer as well.

Brandon and team did a phenomenal job screening in our back porch. They were efficient and great to work with. The project turned out even better than expected and we are grateful to now have a true four seasons living area.

Brandon and Joe completely transformed our outdoor living space. Everything turned out great, but i especially love the outdoor putting green. The speed and slope are just right. Also these guys stand behind their work and have fixed little issues as they arise. Great to work with!

LOVE my new patio space! Ivy creek was great to work with. We went back and forth on designs until we found exactly what I wanted that was within my budget. They got it done in a very timely manner. Will definitely work with them for any future projects.

My experience with Ivy Creek Pools & Patios is on the vendor side. I've enjoyed working with Brandon and really appreciate the effort he and his team put into the business. They are dialing in on their marketing and creating valuable content for potential and current customers. They continue to refine their customer experience and go above and beyond in helping Charlotte area homeowners turn their backyard into a family retreat with a custom pool and outdoor patio.

Ivy Creek Landscaping did a great job with our stamped concrete patio. Brandon and Joe were super proactive and responsive and followed through with every commitment in a timely and professional manner. We’re happy with the quality of the patio and landscape design. We would definitely work with them again.

Ivy Creek was very price competitive compared to other vendors I engaged. They took our back yard from a tree covered slope to a large, usable area for my family to enjoy. I would strongly recommend them to others. In fact, I brought them back out to complete phase 2 of our yard project which included a stair case and irrigation.

I'm not a client, but I have helped Brandon with marketing for his 3rd year of winning in the Charlotte's Best contest. Brandon is professional and easy to communicate with. Working with him has been a breeze. I wish all my clients were like Brandon and I believe ALL his clients are in great hands. Congratulations to Ivy Creek Pools & Patios for winning gold again! 🏆
