Our 15 year old heat pump went out and needed quick replacement in January. Joel provided us a quote within 24 hours and had the system replaced in no time. At no additional charge, they also removed an abandoned low-boy water heater that was in my crawlspace and in the way of the required work. Great company and I will highly recommend them to friends and family who are in need of HVAC work.

Heating unit for my downstairs went out during the snowstorm last night. Called Pappy’s because my mother in law’s builder in Sweetgrass, Kirkwood Builders, recommended them.
Brian and Joel arrived within an hour of the call and also called 10 minutes beforehand to let me know when they would be here.
Turned out it was a very simple problem requiring no parts to be replaced, just good working knowledge of HVAC systems.
I would highly recommend Pappy’s and will be taking them up on the annual service plan of my HVAC system as well.

Brian and his brother are awesome. They take the time to do things right. Their prices are fair and their extended warranties on labor and equipment are awesome! Highly recommend!!

Hired Pappy’s heating and air to clean our dryer vent before we had new washer and dryers delivered. They found faulty duct installation in the attic and roof. They went the extra mile on a Friday afternoon and fixed the duct work so we could have our appliances delived ontime! Thanks Brian and your crew. You did a awesome job!

We had continuous issues with our new LG dryer and were trying to have appliance looked at before the warranty ended. We hired this company to clean the dryer vent and continued to have issues. The LG Appliance repairman sent by LG denied it was the dryer, and was the result of improper cleaning. The owner of Pappys came back out to assure my husband the job was properly cleaned.We escalated with LG and they sent an authorized Appliance repairman out to determine issue. It was a malfunctioning computer board and sensory panel.You can trust their experience.

Our heat pump stopped cooling our home and I was looking around to find a local family owned business and came upon Pappy's. I'm so glad I found them! Their tagline is not just cute, it's also accurate. They made sure to explain exactly what was going on and were honest about the work that needed to be done. They were on time, worked quickly, but took the time to make sure we understood what it was that they were going to do. They know exactly what they're doing and are very professional but talk to you as if you're a friend. One of the best experiences I've had with HVAC! Don't look anywhere else! Excellent company with excellent service! My heater went out and Joel was able to come out quickly the same day I called. I already knew Joel from when he helped in his father's plumbing business so I knew he'd be trustworthy, honest, competent, reliable, and professional... and he didn't let me down! The blower motor in my air handler stopped working. The temperatures were in the high 80's and going to the 90's in a few days. The blower motor was backordered and would take a about 3 weeks to get. Pappy's was able to locate a replacement the next day and installed it right away. The response time was fast, less than 30 minutes, and we were back to cool air in 2 days. We would be suffering with the heat for weeks if not for Pappy. We are happy with Pappy.

We were very impressed with the professionalism and integrity of Brian Barber and his brother Justin who own Pappy’s Heating & Air Inc. They quickly concluded that the costly repairs recommended by another company were totally unnecessary. However, they discovered that one component of our HVAC system had not originally been affixed properly. They replaced the tape with a proper clamp and bolts. They also adjusted the flow of the air to make it more even throughout our home. There is no hard sales pitch for costly add-ons from these two fine technicians. We have decided to go with Pappy’s for our semi-annual maintenance checkups. It’s a real pleasure dealing with this local firm based in Clayton!

I have to give Pappy's another 5 star review. Brian and Justin stopped by and gave my HVAC system a thorough inspection and really cleaned out the outdoor coils (it was sorely needed). They didn't try to upsell me any other services or unnecessary repairs nor do they have any gimmicky $49.00 'tune-up' coupons. Instead, they let their work speak for itself. Brian and Justin were also incredibly good with talking about what they were looking at in the system and patiently answering any of my questions. Integrity and service are the reasons why I'm going to keep on coming back to Pappy's.

We have been using 'Pappy's Heating and Air Inc' for at least 5 years and we have never had any service company and personal with knowledgeable as good. In the past we did have service from other Heating and Air companies, but they were not only disappointing, but seemingly mainly interested in addition profits and services. The companies were only interested in selling us new equipment and additional services even if the equipment and additional services were not really required. 'Pappy's' is not like that. He is only interested in providing real service and support. I would certainly strongly recommend 'Pappy's Heating and Air Inc.' to anyone.

A/C went out yesterday. Pappy’s showed up within 20 hours and fixed my problem. Very professional. Showed me and explained what they did and why. Even did a diagnostic on my air unit and replaced a part under warranty. Great prices. Definitely will use them again when I need to.

I never write reviews. But Brian and Justin came out SAME DAY ON TIME! They diagnosed my a/c system and performed promised repairs. They were fast, clean and very courteous. Another servicer who had scheduled for that same day were a no show and informed me only after I called them they could not make planned arrival. Pappy's saved the day. Oh, and it was 95 degrees that day so you know we were REALLY PLEASED about Pappy's promptness!!!!!!!
