Easy to work with. Call and needed a defrost board for a/c unit they had in stock same day pick up. Friendly staff in and out in less then 5 minutes.

Josh was able to show up on short notice and replaced my a/c unit with almost no downtime. Excellent service, a high level of professionalism, competitive pricing, and I'm loving the new A/C unit that he recommended. Could not be more pleased with the whole experience.

I just recently moved into the neighborhood into my lovely but very tired condo. Whatever my remodeling priorities were before, the cooling weather set it straight making fixing the heating system my #1 project. The Blue Collar Trade specializing in HVAC repairs / installation, came highly recommended, and they do live up to their reputation. Josh made sure to see to my project on an emergency basis due to the cold weather, and I did not have to wait long for my appointment. My HVAC system was thoroughly inspected, and I was given information on different ways to proceed with fixing the system making sure this is the right choice for me including an offer of a payment plan. My oldish HVAC still has some life in it, but it needs a detail to be shipped by a manufacturer. It will take a few days, but meanwhile I was given by Blue Collar Trades a couple of portable heaters to keep me warm. That was a very kind gesture. High professionalism but also understanding of each customer's unique situation that is the Blue Collar Trades HVAC repairs and installation company as I see them. We hired BCT to conduct a due diligence inspection on a property we are purchasing. Josh was extremely thorough and walked me through the details so that I could make an informed decision. While he was there inspecting, he noticed an issue that needed immediate attention and fixed it for the current owner. I highly recommend using them, and will certainly retain them on a quarterly basis for HVAC maintenance.

Josh saved my daughter's birthday sleepover. Our heat went out the day before it and that day was going to be a high in the 30s. He didn't have to come the next day, when he initially said it would be a day later, but he made room and fixed the problem so that my daughter could have a fun birthday sleepover with her friends, instead of freezing to death.

If I could give Josh from Blue Collar 10 stars, I would! We had an electrical issue on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. I just went down the line on Yelp and called 15 different electricians... Josh responded quickly, and was over at my house within a couple hours. Quickly got to the bottom of the issue, which was with power IN to the house, helped me call Duke Energy to explain the problem and make sure they dispatched a lineman, and followed up several times over the afternoon and evening to make sure we were okay and all squared away. And even though he could have gouged me on a holiday, he charged me a more than reasonable rate while providing great service. I would absolutely recommend them for all your electrical and HVAC needs (he is licensed for both)!!

Josh is a one of a kind. Very knowledgeable and honest. He listened to the issue and put together a fair and honest fix. There was no up selling or trying to “fix” unnecessary items. It’s so rare these days to find someone like that. If you want honest and fair , as well as quality this is the place.

Would highly recommend Blue Collar Trades for anyone who needs HVAC or handyman work done. We were having trouble with the LED lights in our coworking space, and Josh was super responsive and on the scene in an instant. He saved the day, since we had a customer coming in first thing that morning to use the conference space. Definitely recommend!

Bear with me for you will want to not stop reading this review. This review is the only review that you need to pay attention to when considering Josh and Blue-Collar Trades, L.L.C. Where should I begin. I had called Josh to come give me a quote on the same day as his much larger than life competitors.
On May 25, 2024 I realized my AC unit was on its last days or minutes so I decided to shop around for HVAC contractors. The first one that came was a local household name but to my surprise, I was left with a sour taste in my mouth. All I sense was here is a number, give us a call. We would love your business but we don't love you. Second contractor came and went. Much better than the first. Finally, it was Blue Collar Trades, L.L.C's turn. Josh had come out in hopes of getting me a quote for a new outdoor unit along with an indoor evaporator coil unit only to find himself spending at least 2 plus hours fixing another contractor's bad work. Josh's attention to detail and his sharp sense of smell picked up a small gas leak. Unlike the first two contractors, Josh's attention and commitment to his business and the safety welfare of clients he serves resulted in him not making a penny even though he worked tirelessly in the hot summer heat attic sweating away.
Remember, Josh did not have to do anything. He could have just walked away but he didn't. He saw a potential safety hazard and out of the goodness of his heart, meticulously worked out the problem using the knowledge God gave him. Throughout the entire time he was fixing someone else's issue. he never complained about the heat and the hard work. In case everyone has forgotten Josh came to quote a unit for me but instead, came and fix a problem someone else had created for me, the homeowner. While doing the free fix for me, we had a great chat about HVAC, construction, integrity, and life. When Josh finally said the problem was fix I knew right then I didn't care about the other two quotes. Josh won my business not because he provided the lowest quote out of the three contractors.
Throughout our short conversation time I realize we need to help the people who helps us. Josh's company may not be the largest in town but one thing is for sure, his heart and his passion for what he does and why he does the things he does is larger than most if not many of his competitors. In today’s time it is rare to find qualities such as those exhibited by Josh and his company, Blue Collar Trades, L.L.C. To set the record straight, I’m not in anyway affiliated with Josh and his company but knowing what I saw today, I’ll gladly be a client of his. You may ask, why am I so confident in Josh and his company? You ma be surprise if I said that Josh’s business ethic and model begins with goodness and God. With God, leading Josh, I have no reason to doubt his work, credibility, integrity, and ability carry out a great HVAC project for anyone including myself. Thanks Josh. You remind me that there are still great contractors out in the tough world.

Our power equipment in our 80+ year old home finally decided to give out on us (main breaker panel, sub panels, meter socket etc. all had to be replaced. Josh came out and was able to diagnose, quote and replace everything and get us back online quickly and for a more than reasonable price, all while we were out of town on vacation. Would highly recommend using Blue Collar Trades for any electrical/HVAC work. Will definitely be calling again for any other repairs/upgrades that we perform to the house.

Had Josh come for a maintenance of 4 units and to diagnose an issue with one of my heaters. Very informative on what problem was impacting my heater. Gave me multiple options at different price points. Respectful and fair.

Woke up to a thermostat not working. I called expecting to have to leave a voicemail since it was before 8a. Josh answered the call and was at our house within the hour. no hidden fees or extra charges. Josh came and got us up and running within minutes.

I called late in the afternoon needing an electrician because my outlet to refrigerator had stopped working. Josh took my call and came out that evening to help me he fit me in after hours. I feel sure that most people would not have been as willing to get to me that soon.He did a good job and gave me a fair price that I was happy with. Highly recommend Josh and his personalized service. I'd been without heat all week and he responded faster than the original installer of my HVAC. I called this morning, and he had the part, installed, and heating up the house by evening. He corrected a disconnected exhaust pipe, and pointed out a few items that could have been installed better to begin with. Josh even went out of his way to assist in cleaning out leaves from my AC units. He's got all of my future HVAC and electrical business.

I have known Josh personally for several years and called him last night when water was pouring from my attic from my AC. Josh and his company has been a complete lifesaver for fixing issues identified during the home inspection for the house my husband and I just purchased. Josh thoroughly reviewed the inspection report and provided a quick estimate for all of the issues thar need to be fixed. Even though he ran into some challenges with the older wiring in the house, he was able to fix everything in a timely manner while also providing advice for other minor issues he noticed while fixing the electrical issues.
