DO NOT USE!!!! I dealt with 3 techs, skylar, drew, and joe. Over 3 different trips to my house They removed my attic insulation in 2 sections of my house and didn’t even attempt to put it back, unhooked my well pump, left tools in the attic, on the roof and on my back deck. I Spoke with the owner, Scott, about how unhappy I was with the service I received and all he had to say was “sorry about that” I paid them $1600 for something I could’ve done myself, lesson learned.

Amazing company, warm reception from initial call, with next day service! The electrician, Nate, was great, very courteous, professional and did a grate job. So happy to have come across this great company, will definitely use them again. Service: inspection of potential power issue at pool pump.

It was so nice to work with Balex for our generator installation. We were notified of timing for work to start, and work started as planned. All employees were courteous and professional and readily answered any questions we had. We would definitely recommend Balex to others.

Scott and his team are great! They were able to take care of some wiring and electrical issues I had in my office. They worked quickly and efficiently, and were really good about cleaning up after themselves - you wouldn't know they had been there other than the new electrical outlet that they left behind! I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a good electrician - one who is honest, fair in pricing and who does good, quality work. In fact, I have recommended them already to a friend!

Miguel and Michael came out to my home in Greensboro. Michael completed my complimentary 10 point inspection and explained everything to me in detail. Miguel was kind, courteous, and to the point. I was greatly impressed with their professionalism and candor. I see why this company has so many great reviews. Oh- I have to mention their transparent pricing list that they bring with them. You always know what price to expect because of that. Great job guys. Thank you!

Half of our power in our house went out last week Tuesday night. I called in the morning and got an appointment right away for Wednesday afternoon which was lovely. Michael and another guy came out and were very nice and friendly and professional. I am a renter and so after they showed me the flat rate price for fixing older wiring issues ($600) I tried to contact my landlord. It took me about 20 minutes to get a hold of him and while they waited, they took the time to do their standard 14 point inspection.
The landlord was (understandably) confused that they could charge $600 without even knowing the problem but I assured him that it would cover the cost of however long it took to find the problem & fix it plus materials. Michael and his assistant had assured me it was worth it.
When I got the go ahead from my landlord, they went outside to the meter. Within less than 5 minutes they found that our main panel is outside directly under the meter. They wiped corrosion off of one of the breakers, restoring power to our home. I asked if it would still cost the $600 (considering it took minutes and a quick wipe) and they said yes because I'd already signed at that price.
I asked if they could perhaps update some of our non-grounded outlets or something so that the $600 was actually going towards more than just 5 minutes of their time, to make it more worth the money spent. $600 is no small fee. The answer was no.
After I paid, they said they would do an in depth write up and email me that with the invoice and receipt. After they left, the office called me to ask for my landlord's phone number, which I gave. They never contacted him to my knowledge. I called the office 2 days later after not receiving any email or any kind of receipt at all. The receptionist told me she would send it over right away and seemed ready to get off the phone, not asking to verify my email or anything, even though I'd suggested they may have the wrong email. I still have no email from Balex. All I have is the 14 point inspection sheet, which was not revised after they restored power, so it is incorrectly stating that a lot of things are not working that actually do work.
They should at least send an itemized receipt. This job should have been charged at an hourly rate, we overpaid by a LOT for the job. They did a fine job and we appreciate having our power back but extremely poor communication and we were way overcharged.

I would not hire them again. It's confusing because all the other reviews are 5 star, which is why I hired them in the first place.

Our experience with Balex Electrical Company was terrific - they were helpful, prompt, safe, professional, and very knowledgeable. They installed a foyer light in a two-story space for us and couldn't have done a better job with a tricky installation. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The technicians that did this work were very knowledgeable and courteous. Scott was a very pleasant person to work with on our project. He delivered everything he promised at a very competitive price. I will definitely call Balex Electrical for any future electrical service needs I may have.

Blake and Brad came out to our business to install some spotlights and a camera. They were so courteous and professional! They explained everything and cleaned up after they were done working. Needed a couple of outlets and some motion lights installed. Derrick and Liz did a great job. They showed up on time, and were very professional. They took a look at what I needed done, and went straight to work, thought it would take a lot longer but they knocked it out. Balex is now my go to company for electrical work. Truly a great experience with Balex Electrical. We recently purchased a Generac home generator from them, and from start to finish Balex has been nothing but responsive, timely, professional, and simply a pleasure to work with. It started with Scott personally visiting our home to explain and determine the proper Generac model, then continued with a competitive price estimate and installation by Derek and Liz. So much of a company is reflected in its employees, and Balex should be proud to have Derek and Liz as part of its team. Both were highly professional, quite friendly and pleasant, and did an outstanding job. Overall, our highest recommendations!

I had a great experience with Balex in resolving a very frustrating issue. Nate and Hansen were super helpful and professional. I want to call out Nate in particular who really went the extra mile for us with extensive trouble shooting. He was very knowledgable and was able to talk me through the various steps he was taking to help find the issue. We were able to come to a resolution that has finally solved the problem we were having. I will definitely call them again if the need arises.

Balex installed a Generac standby generator at my home last week. They where there on the schedule day and spend 2 days installing the backup generator. The Balex team was professional and paid attention to all the detail during the installation. I was impressed with knowledge and willingness to answer my questions. Overall I was very impressed with Balex and the work they do.

Brian and Kenny did a great job at keeping everything organized, clean, and didn't mind answering my numerous questions as I was very inquisitive about everything they were doing. Beautiful install of my new car wall charger and works perfectly. Price was well cheaper than the other estimates I got, and I felt like they were passionate about the work they did and doing it well. Was a great experience overall!

I’m so happy I did a little research and found Balex. The great reviews I read were proven to be true by the great service we received from Barbara, Justin and Max. Barbara listened to our problem, requested details to help the technicians come prepared and worked us into the schedule on the same day I called. Justin and Max arrived early, with all of the parts needed and quickly corrected the issue which was a bad ballast in a ceiling light and explained everything They patiently let me ask a number of electrical questions about some other things on my mind and assisted with identifying our breakers and checking some outlets. They were very efficient, polite and personable I feel confident I made the right choice and will count on them again for any future service needs! Thank you!

Everything was just as communicated and expected. Scott and his crew showed up on time, were prepared and reviewed their planned work. They were very thorough and when done everything was clean, neat and tidy like they were never there. I added a small work request at the last minute and it was handled with no problems.
