Patrick and his team did an excellent job converting my old wood burning fireplace to a new gal log fireplace. Additionally they made several repairs to the exterior of the fireplace. I could not have asked for a better team (Brendan and Josh)! Professional, caring, courteous and their attention to detail was outstanding. The cost of the entire project was also very competitive. I will certainly use them in future for maintenance and/or repairs and I highly recommend them. Thank you again for a great job!

Great service! Started out wanting a chimney sweep, but was able to work with Patrick and schedule a complete refractory panel replacement at the same time. Josh was very neat and professional and cleaned everything up nicely. I highly recommend these guys!! I have used others and there is no comparison!!

Patrick, the owner, came out to diagnose a chimney leak issue. He was professional, courteous and answered all of my questions. He also explained what needed to be done and showed me photos.
I agreed to have them do the repairs once materials came in.
Within a few weeks he called to schedule the repairs and returned with his crew, Brendon and Joshua. They were all great guys, even took a few minutes to meet my dachshund to alay his fear of strangers!
Brendon and Joshua were very efficient and skilled in their tasks as well as personable and kind.
Patrick and his crew cleaned and waterproofed my chimney, coated the crown, completed tuckpointing in areas and installed a larger chimney cap. They stopped the water intrusion and gave my old chimney a much needed facelift.

Nexus Chimney was easy to work with from start to finish. The owner took the time to answer all of our questions when he came out to evaluate the issues we were having with our chimney, as well as multiple follow up questions via email. The worker who came out to do the job was efficient and professional. They took photos and sent them to us so that we could see the final results. I would recommend them.

Nice, polite, efficient. Cleaned the chimney, installed the cap, sealed everything and then cleaned up thier work site. All in two hours. They even let me inspect the work right away and were indulgent to touch up little imperfections I'm sure others wouldn't notice. It's poured down rain for a week now but my fireplace is dry.
I tried two other companies before I found Nexsus. They either couldn't deliver after months of waiting or, after months of waiting came back with a huge estimate. Nexsus had to wait a little time for the fabrication but delivered and at a reasonable price.

Great experience with Nexus Chimney Services! Patrick McCoy, the Owner, really took the time to discuss repair and maintenance options for our exterior chimney repairs. Our project included repairing the crown and corbeling, a new chimney cap, and waterproofing. Josh and Brendan were the technicians that came out to perform the work, and they did an excellent job! They were respectful of the property, and I was happy with the communication for scheduling the work.

Excellent Nexus Chimney Services experience. Installing a new Chimney cap was expertly completed by Patrick and his team. They are easy to work with and responsive. The outcome speaks for itself, and I am very happy with the work completed. Nexus Chimney Services comes highly recommended from me.

Overall positive experience and would use again. Gas fireplace was shutting off for some reason. Booked an appointment but had to wait a couple of months for service. To be fair other places I called had the same backlog so I get it. Given the time lag and the fact we just had 2 winter storms I was not very confident my service appointment would be honored but was wrong. The technician Josh called in advance to confirm and showed up on time. Onto the problem. Josh did a thorough test and made a couple of adjustments. As he was about to leave the fire went out again. He said he was unsure but did not want to have to unnecessarily order new parts and to let him know if the problem persisted. It did and I reached out to him. Within a week he was back and this time corrected the problem. Of all things it was a faulty wall switch. I happened to have another spare switch which he installed and sure enough the fireplace has worked since. I’ve replaced other wall switches and have never known one to be faulty. If it were not for Josh’s diligence it is likely I would still be sitting here with a faulty fireplace. Thanks Josh!

We had a chimney that leaked inside a three-season room during heavy rainstorms after a new roof was put on, so we had the roofing company come out to check it. They tested the chimney and surrounding roof area and found that the chimney waterproofing was compromised. It was a 40-year-old house, and it might have been the original sealant on the chimney. Nexus came out and looked at the chimney and also told us that the cap should cover the entire chimney, not just the chimney flue pipe. They gave us a cost estimate and ordered the custom-made chimney cover. When it was available, their service techs power washed the chimney, waterproofed it and installed the new cap. The cost estimate was the final cost of the work. As an aside, the other two chimney repair contractors I contacted online never even got back to me. I know who I will contact when I want to get a new gas log insert. Call locally owned Nexus Chimney services for any of your fireplace/chimney needs.

We had two projects done: replacing the cracked concrete in the firebox and replacing the chase cover and storm shield cap. Overall it was a great experience.

Timing and communication: They were upfront about timing from the start and explained that parts would take about three weeks to come in before the work could be scheduled. Since we paid our deposit in early November during a busy time of year, I was a little nervous about delays. Even with some email tag, it always felt like they were trying to make it work for us. Once the parts arrived, they got everything scheduled and completed within two weeks, and before Christmas, which we really appreciated.

Quality of work: These guys clearly know what they are doing. They showed up on time, kept the work area clean, and knocked everything out in about three hours. The before and after difference is night and day, and the work looks great.

Trust and transparency: They explained why the repairs were needed and walked us through the work, which made us feel confident in the safety of our fireplace. Pricing was clear from the beginning, and the final cost matched the estimate with no surprises. They also took time to answer our questions at the end. We feel completely safe using our fireplace now.

Service: Patrick and Brendan were friendly, professional, and easy to work with.

This was our first time using them this fall and winter, and we plan to keep using them for annual chimney sweeps and inspections. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing fireplace or chimney work.

Nexus Chimney converted my old gas fireplace into a much more efficient wood stove insert, cleaned my chimney and installed a 10 year sealant. It was a seamless process with Brendan and Jay power washing my chimney and fitting the wood stove into my existing fireplace opening. Chris was so great! He was easy to get ahold of and plan for a time around our schedules, he payed extra attention on the areas we needed and was very careful of weak areas! Our son also got a kick out of watching him through the window so it was a plus for some free morning entertainment!
